Your Role:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Software Program Manager to serve as the strategic product leader for our software-enabled defense systems within the TRS division. This role sits at the critical intersection of customer needs, technical execution, and business growth—defining the future of our software platforms that power autonomous systems and mission-critical operations.
As a Software Program Manager, you will own the product vision and roadmap for software capabilities across our tactical systems portfolio. You will be the voice of the customer internally and the face of product strategy externally, working closely with Growth teams to shape customer strategy while partnering with engineering and Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to ensure flawless execution.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical fluency with strategic product thinking and an understanding of defense customer requirements—particularly in the military sales space. Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership

• Own and maintain the software product roadmap for TRS systems, ensuring alignment with customer needs, technical feasibility, and business priorities.

• Make data-driven prioritization decisions, balancing customer requests, technical debt, platform investments, and innovation initiatives.

Customer & Growth Partnership

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strategic Leadership & Governance

Compliance, Validation & Risk Management

• Ensure all IS projects comply with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP, FDA, SOX, GDPR as applicable).

• Partner with Quality Assurance and the Computer System Validation team to support system validation, audits, and inspections.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, technical, and compliance risks.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, or IS delivery roles.

• Experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences environment.

• Proven success delivering complex, cross-functional enterprise Science.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.

Job Summary:

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for our next Senior Technical Program Manager, an experienced scrum master who knows how to shepherd a product portfolio through the full product realization cycle while navigating competing priorities for a regulated product. 

What would I be doing?

You’ll be responsible for driving Cleerly’s product realization process. You’ll help to lead the development team from planning through verification and validation to produce the best possible solution in a compliant, high-quality, and timely manner. The Opportunity

Banyan Software acquires, builds, and grows great software companies for the long term. Across our portfolio of 100+ operating companies, many run on proven but aging codebases—15 to 25 years old—increasingly at odds with what modern customers expect: cloud-native, mobile-first, always-on SaaS.

The AI Factory is Banyan’s centralized application modernization engine—using AI-powered discovery, verification-first engineering, and an integrated delivery model to rewrite legacy applications into modern platforms in 15–25 weeks (vs. the traditional 2–5 years). • Innovation & AI: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI/ML capabilities, to enhance data assets, streamline delivery, and unlock new value for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Data Discovery: Partner with stakeholders to discover, evaluate, and onboard new data sources to expand the portfolio’s value and relevance for business needs.

2. Portfolio Execution

• Data Product Requirements: Lead the creation and ownership of detailed data briefs and technical requirements to define and guide data querying, transformation, enrichment, and delivery processes. Ensure all requirements are aligned with business objectives, application needs, and end-user expectations, enabling the development of scalable, high-quality data products that deliver measurable value.
• Data-Driven Decision-Making: Collaborate with business units to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop data-driven frameworks for decision-making.
• Delivery Assurance: Collaborate with product, engineering, architecture, and application teams to ensure successful execution of data initiatives, meeting performance, scalability, and quality standards.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks and dependencies across data product initiatives, ensuring transparency and clear escalation paths to senior leadership. 

3. Governance & Quality

• Data Governance: Advocate for and enforce rigorous standards of data quality, metadata management, data lineage, and compliance across the portfolio.
• Scalability & Architecture: Partner with Data Engineering and Data Architecture teams to ensure the data infrastructure is secure, scalable, and aligned with future business needs.
• Automation & Monitoring: Drive the adoption of automation and monitoring tools to enhance operational efficiency, reduce failure points, and optimize the end-to-end data lifecycle.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

• Executive Communication: Provide clear, concise updates on data product strategy, progress, and risks to senior and executive stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Product Strategy, Product, Engineering, QA, and Business teams to ensure seamless integration of data assets into delivery platforms.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 
• 8+ years of experience in Data Strategy, or related roles, with demonstrated expertise in defining and executing a multi-year product strategy for complex, large-scale data assets, preferably in a B2B or Enterprise environment. 
• Strong understanding of modern product management and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) at a portfolio level. 
• Deep expertise in understanding data content, data models, and data structures, with the ability to oversee and guide the design and optimization of data structures across the entire product portfolio to ensure scalability, usability, and alignment with business needs. 
• Solid technical acumen, with experience overseeing data processing pipelines, data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift), and data governance tools. 
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to executive-level, non-technical audiences. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep expertise in the Finance, Risk, or Regulatory sectors, with an understanding of the critical importance of data quality and timeliness in these domains.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Data Science).
• An MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.

Rate: Up to $90 hourly on W2, $95 on 1099. Role is projected for three month increments.
