Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, aggressive commission structure tied to closed revenue, equity participation, and benefits. Compensation package designed to reward top performers who exceed ambitious revenue targets.

WEKA is transforming how organizations build, run, and scale AI and accelerated compute workflows with NeuralMesh™, our intelligent, adaptive mesh storage system. Unlike traditional data infrastructures, which become more fragile as compute environments grow and performance demands increase, NeuralMesh becomes faster, stronger, and more efficient as it scales, providing a flexible, adaptable foundation for enterprise and agentic AI innovation that maximizes GPU utilization, accelerates time to first token, and lowers the cost of innovation.
WEKA is a pre-IPO, growth-stage company backed by world-class venture capital investors and AI infrastructure industry leaders. Our technology, purpose-built for AI, has garnered over 140 patents and is trusted by more than 30% of Fortune 50 enterprises, as well as the world's leading hyperscalers, neoclouds, and AI innovators.
We are seeking an experienced Country Manager for Japan to build and execute our go-to-market strategy in one of Asia's most strategic AI and infrastructure markets. This is a quota-carrying leadership role where you will own revenue growth, establish WEKA's market presence, develop enterprise customer relationships, and build a local channel and reseller ecosystem from the ground up.
Japan represents a significant opportunity for WEKA—particularly within financial services, government and research institutions, and large-scale manufacturing and semiconductor operations where infrastructure investment is substantial and ongoing. You will operate with full autonomy over territory strategy, partner development, and customer acquisition, while collaborating cross-functionally with our global teams and existing regional leadership across Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and China.
This role requires someone who understands the Japanese market deeply, can navigate relationship-based selling with enterprise customers and government organizations, and has the business acumen to establish scalable partnerships in a market where local presence and trust are paramount. We seek leaders with commitment to building a sustainable, long-term presence in Japan, not a quick market entry.
This is a Japan-focused Country Manager role. WEKA has established independent regional teams in Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and China who operate under their own leadership structures. You will collaborate cross-regionally on strategic initiatives and account strategies where relevant, but will not have management responsibility outside Japan.
We are Accountable: We take full ownership, always—even when things don't go as planned. We lead with integrity, show up with responsibility and ownership, and hold ourselves and each other to the highest standards.
We are Brave: We question the status quo, push boundaries, and take smart risks when needed. We welcome challenges and embrace debates as opportunities for growth, turning courage into fuel for innovation.
We are Collaborative: True collaboration isn't only about working together. It's about lifting one another up to succeed collectively. We are team-oriented and communicate with empathy and respect. We challenge each other and conduct positive conflict resolution. We are transparent about our goals and results. Together, we're unstoppable.
We are Customer Centric: Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We actively listen and prioritize the success of our customers, and every decision we make is driven by how we can better serve, support, and empower them to succeed. When our customers win, we win.
WEKA is an equal-opportunity employer that prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind. We provide equal opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace. If you are excited about this position but have concerns that your past work experience doesn't match every qualification listed, we encourage you to apply anyway—you may be exactly the right candidate for this or other roles at WEKA.

Job's mission
Each product line of XP8 DCM and JQCM has a complex building‑block structure that supports advanced process technologies. The intern will involve a cross‑functional review of the electrical wiring diagrams and building‑block structures for both product lines, analyzing and identifying design redundancies and common elements. Through this activity, the intern will aim to gain a deep understanding of the process module configuration of DCM and JQCM. Finally, based on the elements identified as candidates for commonality, the intern will propose standardization ideas that can contribute to improved design efficiency, cost reduction, and shorter development lead time.
What you will be working on
XP8 DCM and JQCM are composed of complex building‑block structures (BOMs). In this internship, the intern will systematically break down these complex BOMs and electrical wiring diagrams, reviewing and learning the commonalities and differences across product lines. The analysis approach begins with the high‑cost layers that are widely used across the XP8 DCM and JQCM product portfolios. Next, as part of the compatibility assessment, the intern will examine component‑level differences and determine whether functionally compatible alternatives exist. All components will be categorized into “Common” and “Functional Equivalent” groups, and the intern will redefine the component structure from this perspective. As part of design and development validation, the intern will work with related departments to reassess the technical rationale for the current differences. For manufacturing and procurement optimization, the intern will collaborate with FEMS ME to explore improvements to kit structures. The ultimate objective is to identify concrete and actionable cost‑reduction measures through standardization that can be applied across the entire XP8 DCM and JQCM product lines.
What we are looking fo
The ideal candidates for this internship are students in electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or other related engineering fields. A bachelor’s‑level academic background provides sufficient technical preparation to carry out the responsibilities associated with this project.

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
As an Enterprise Account Executive, Transportation & Utilities based in Tokyo, you'll drive the adoption of safe, frontier AI technology across Japan's transportation and utility infrastructure organizations. You'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, working with senior leaders to help them improve operational resilience, optimize asset performance, and deliver safer and more efficient services with Anthropic's AI solutions.
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.
Your safety matters to us. To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings.
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
