The Data and Storage Services team is responsible for handling all of Affirm’s Data (OLAP and OLTP) requirements and encompasses the entire range from critical online checkout databases all the way to our Batch Orchestration, Streaming Infrastructure, Event Driven Frameworks, BI and analytics tools and systems. We're looking for an experienced Engineering Leader to lead our growing Data and Storage Services organization, specifically our Online Storage team. You will bring a wealth of experience in managing teams and success in delivering highly technical multi-quarter roadmaps. You will also need to be fairly comfortable with ambiguity and possess tools to work through tough deadlines, craft strategy and drive execution. You will be able to work with your teams, as well as product stakeholder teams, to define architectural/organizational future states that we can scale to in the future. You will need to make balanced calls that align with our forward-looking vision and current business & technology critical needs.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role for someone who has already made AI a first-class collaborator in their work. You'll design streaming services, write and review code, own production incidents, and ship infrastructure — and you'll do all of it with agents running in parallel alongside you. We're looking for an engineer who already decomposes work into agentic workflows, critiques agent output with real technical authority, and ships production code faster because of it.
You'll help shape the team's technical direction on Kafka-first streaming infrastructure and the next phase of our high-availability roadmap. You'll also help evolve how the team itself works with AI — the prompts, the evals, the review patterns, the escape hatches when agents go sideways.

The End User Protection Team
Auth0 is an easy-to-implement authentication and authorization platform designed by developers for developers. The End User Protection team is responsible for building and maintaining Auth0’s Attack Protection capabilities. Cyberattacks, such as credential stuffing and password spraying, often target end users to gain unauthorised access to applications. These attacks pose a significant threat, compromising user accounts and data. The Attack Protection features mitigate these risks by continuously monitoring user login behaviour and automatically detecting and blocking malicious activity. They protect users without adding unnecessary friction.
The team works closely with our Machine Learning and AI teams to develop and deploy cutting-edge detection models. This collaboration allows application builders to provide a secure login experience for their users while isolating them from the complexities and ever-evolving tactics of these attacks.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Rust to lead the evolution of our backend platform and tooling. This role will focus on developing and maintaining critical Rust-based tools and infrastructure which could bring Tubi to its next era.

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Canada locations are categorized into one of two zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area.
