The Corporate Systems team focuses on maintaining secure, reliable systems that support employees across the company. The Security Platform team is responsible for the secure lifecycle, governance, and protection of Robinhood’s most sensitive user data. This team builds foundational systems such as secure data pipelines, tokenization services, and privacy compliance infrastructure to ensure customer data is handled responsibly and in line with regulations. The team works closely with security, infrastructure, and product engineering partners to ensure data is both usable and protected. About The Team + Role

The Artificial Intelligence team is at the forefront of integrating AI into Robinhood’s ecosystem. We are building the foundational AI and ML infrastructure that empowers our product and engineering teams to seamlessly build, deploy, and scale AI-driven features tailored to the needs of our customers.

As the Senior Engineering Manager, AI, you will lead the charge in developing this critical infrastructure. You will oversee the creation of multiple ML and AI. models spanning Robinhood products, and internal optimizations. The Concierge team is expanding its capabilities to support customers with financial planning, advice, education, and long-term financial organization. This team works closely with Robinhood Asset Management. product, and compliance to deliver accurate, compliant planning experiences. You’ll play a key role in shaping how Robinhood supports customers in organizing their financial lives and understanding their options!

As an individual contributor in a Relationship Manager role, you will support customers throughout their service journey while guiding them through structured financial planning processes. You will support the full Concierge suite of services, including financial planning, tax services, estate planning, and account-related support, helping customers navigate each area through structured guidance and coordination with internal teams and external partners. You will lead conversations to understand customer goals, help organize financial information, and interpret planning outputs in a clear and accessible way. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build and improve core infrastructure used by many engineering teams, with a focus on reliability, performance, and operational excellence. • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Harness, Jenkins, CircleCI) with a focus on reliability and speed

Reliability & Operations

• Own non-functional requirements including availability, scalability, latency, and security
• Ensure systems are observable through metrics, logs, and alerting
• Lead incident response, postmortems, and continuous improvement efforts
• Reduce operational toil through automation and platform improvements

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with Product, Platform, and SRE teams to align on long-term technical strategy
• Lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams
• Mentor senior engineers and raise the technical bar across the organization
• Contribute to a strong engineering culture centered on ownership, quality, and continuous improvement

What you bring 

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years operating at Staff or Senior Staff level
• Deep expertise in developer infrastructure (CI/CD, build systems, testing frameworks, dev environments, observability)
• Strong backend engineering skills with proficiency in Go, Python, or TypeScript/JavaScript
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional platform initiatives at scale
• Exceptional system design skills, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance

Infrastructure & Platform Experience

• Experience with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, service discovery, distributed systems)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD systems (e.g., CircleCI, Jenkins, Harness) and release orchestration
• Experience building internal developer platforms, CLIs (preferably in Go), and productivity tooling

The Robinhood Command Center (RCC) is a newly formed reliability team that serves as the front line for detecting, coordinating, and mitigating production incidents across Robinhood.

The Bitstamp Cloud Engineering team is responsible for designing, maintaining, and scaling the AWS infrastructure that powers our global crypto exchange. As part of the Robinhood family, we are aligning our systems to support global expansion while maintaining the stability and reliability our institutional customers depend on. The team partners closely with Security, Data, Product Engineering, and Platform teams to ensure our infrastructure supports secure trading, high availability, and regulatory requirements. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be an established individual contributor responsible for the reliability, scalability, and modernization of our AWS environment. You will manage core compute and database infrastructure while contributing to projects that align Bitstamp’s systems with Robinhood’s broader platform architecture. This role balances hands-on operational support with forward-looking automation work, reducing manual effort and improving system resilience. Your work will directly support high-volume trading systems and ensure our platform performs consistently as we scale globally!

This role is based in our Ljubljana office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

● You manage and troubleshoot AWS services including EC2, ECS, Aurora, and DynamoDB to ensure high availability and performance.
● You contribute to infrastructure projects that align Bitstamp systems with Robinhood’s global platform architecture and shared services.
● You identify manual operational processes and implement automation using infrastructure-as-code and workflow tooling.
● You monitor database and compute capacity, adjusting configurations to support platform growth and transaction volume.
● You participate in the on-call rotation, diagnosing and resolving production issues to maintain 24/7 system stability.

What you bring

● You have 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering within AWS environments.
● You have practical experience with EC2, ECS, and database technologies such as Aurora and DynamoDB.
● You use structured troubleshooting methods and data analysis to resolve moderately complex infrastructure issues.
● You are comfortable balancing operational responsibilities with incremental automation improvements.
● You communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with engineering and platform teams.

About the team + role

What you’ll do

• Lead and grow a team of backend engineers responsible for Bitstamp’s core derivatives trading platform
• Set the technical direction for high-performance services including order matching, risk systems, and consensus-based infrastructure
• Drive project execution and ensure systems meet SLAs around low latency, data integrity, and uptime
• Collaborate closely with product, security, and infrastructure teams to support market expansion and new contract listings
• Foster a high-trust, inclusive team culture that prioritizes speed, accountability, and continuous improvement

What you bring

• Experience managing or tech leading backend engineering teams in performance-critical environments
• Deep technical background in Golang, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture (preferably AWS)
• Proven ability to scale infrastructure and services to meet demanding throughput and latency requirements
• Passion for mentoring engineers, setting a high technical bar, and growing top-tier teams
• Clear communication skills and ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and urgency
