Job Summary
We’re part of PlayStation’s CAPE organization, building the systems and experiences that help players discover, purchase, and engage with content across the PlayStation ecosystem. Our work supports millions of players worldwide, focusing on making every interaction simple, seamless, and enjoyable. We’re hiring across two areas: Transact, which powers purchase and payments, and Nurture (Merchandising & Experiences), which focuses on personalized content discovery and dynamic user experiences. You’ll work on high-scale systems, collaborate across Sony, and help shape how players connect with games every day.

Required Skills
Experience in developing software using Enterprise Java/J2EE, Web Services, REST APIs and JSON/XML.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and object oriented programming analysis, design.
Experience developing with AWS native services such as EC2, S3, Kinesis, Glue, Lambda, SQS, SNS and DynamoDB.
Experience working on scalable systems with very high levels of concurrency and transactions.
Experience with SpringBoot, testing frameworks ( e.g., Spoch, JUnit , Cucumber), servlet containers (e.g., Tomcat), container technologies ( e.g., docker) , container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and related technologies.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience developing applications on Unix/Linux platforms.
Understanding of SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Experience in developing cross-platform code.
Experience using source control and bug tracking systems in a team environment.
Experience with an e-commerce company
Excellent communication skills, and hopefully a good sense of humor!

Software Developer Co-op Overview
Are you interested in designing and implementing a scalable, flexible architecture on PlayStation®? Our Software Engineering Co-ops work alongside our full time software engineers to produce real products and services that matter to our customers. Focusing on PS5 console software, you’ll contribute to developing features that enhance the PlayStation® experience for millions of users. Collaborating with a team of skilled engineers, you’ll help build modern API-driven applications for the PlayStation®5 platform. As part of a globally distributed team, you’ll gain valuable experience in a dynamic, multicultural environment while implementing innovative console software solutions.

Produce well written features that will be used by millions of passionate customers
Help maintain existing applications
Write clear, maintainable, portable, and highly functional code
Test and document code produced
Minimum Qualifications:
A good understanding of object-oriented principles.
Familiarity with common data structures and algorithms
Fluent in Python
Experience with some web technologies and frameworks
Experience developing single-page web applications using frameworks like Ember.js, React Native, AngularJS, Backbone.js
Experience with Customer-facing UI Development
Preferred Requirements:
Proficient with JavaScript
Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 features and modern browser architecture
Experience with agile development practices
Experience with Node.js and Redis, or similar technologies
Experience with C#, Java, or OO C++ code is recommended
Proven track record of shipping applications (not just static websites) built on modern web technologies

Job Summary
We are currently hiring Software Developer in Test (SDET) Interns who are passionate about software quality for our engineering teams in Waterloo, Ontario. Our SDETs are responsible for writing test cases, automating test cases, executing manual tests and maintaining our automated test infrastructure. Our interns work alongside our full-time Software Engineers and QA Engineers on real products and services that millions of customers use everyday.
Job Responsibilities
Designing, developing, maintaining and executing test cases with maximum requirement coverage.
Performing functional, integration and regression testing using manual and automated approaches.
Collaborating with QA, Developers and Project managers to understand feature requirements, identifying acceptance criteria, and discovering and resolving issues.
Working with the teams responsible for the PlayStation®4 Console Store as well as teams working on applications and tooling for our PlayStation®5 console.
Minimum Requirements
Programming experience in popular test scripting languages.
Good understanding of object-oriented principles.
Good understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.
Preferred Requirements
Experience with test automation
Proficient with JavaScript and Python
Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 features and modern browser architecture
Familiarity with version control (ex. GitHub)
Experience testing single-page web applications
Experience working and testing REST API's
Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies and strong understanding of engineering best practices
Excellent communication skills, and hopefully a good sense of humor!

The Monetization team at PlayStation helps players discover the content they want and deepens their connection through products like PlayStation Plus. This team is reinventing its operating rhythms to deliver reliable, world-class experiences at scale.
Partner with engineering teams to deliver features for monetization such as Subscriptions, Personalization, and Experience Management
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, and backlog refinement
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and design leads to turn strategy into actionable roadmaps and plans
Track deliverables and keep Jira boards, roadmaps, and status trackers updated
Monitor progress, identify dependencies, flag risks, and support mitigation planning
Communicate status updates to stakeholders in clear and concise ways
Support release readiness and change management with Engineering Managers and Team Leads
Contribute to process improvements by standardizing templates and practices
Help establish lightweight metrics and dashboards to measure delivery health, quality, and impact
Experience working with product, design, and engineering in a technical environment
Knowledge of Jira and Confluence for planning and documentation
Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Google Suite, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Figma
Strong understanding of microservices and cloud-native concepts, with exposure to APIs, CI/CD, testing, and release processes
Experience with project coordination, backlog management, and writing user stories with acceptance criteria
Ability to analyze data and present insights through spreadsheets or dashboards (SQL is a plus)
Understanding of risk management, dependency tracking, and stakeholder communication
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
