The Role

Square is looking for a tenured Account Executive with a strong new logo sales background and self-starter disposition to join our Outbound Sales Team. This role works with restaurant owners specifically, emphasis on Small/Mid-sized businesses. You will create your own outbound strategy while working with the Business Development team to build a book of business. You will be expected to source leads, cold call and email them to generate interest and close deals selling our Square ecosystem to prospective merchants. This role requires excellent communication skills, diligence, and a strong ability to build rapport with prospects to negotiate and close complex deals.

The Role

Traditionally, ML systems were built to solve narrow tasks (e.g., item recommendations), with orchestration logic hard-coded outside the model. Increasingly, LLMs are becoming the orchestration layer, deciding which models to invoke, when to use them, how to interpret outputs, and how to chain steps together.

In this paradigm, the models we build deliver low-latency, large-scale personalization that advances Block’s mission of economic empowerment. The Role

The Data Ingestion team is part of Block's AI, Data & Analytics organization and is responsible for building and operating the platforms that replicate and ingest data into Block's Lakehouse, powered by Databricks and Snowflake. The team owns Block's Change Data Capture (CDC) platform, streaming data connectors, and data loading infrastructure — ensuring that fresh, reliable data from production databases, event streams, and third-party sources is available for analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives across Square, Cash App, and Afterpay.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the team, you will design and build the next generation of data ingestion infrastructure — including Kafka Iceberg connectors, database replication pipelines, and unified ingestion frameworks. You will drive the modernization of our CDC platform, help consolidate multiple ingestion paths into a cohesive architecture, and collaborate with partner teams across Block to ensure data flows reliably from source to Lakehouse. The Role

As a Reliability Program Manager (REL PM) within Block Hardware, you will own the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of hardware reliability validation across our consumer electronics portfolio. • Own the hardware reliability (REL) strategy across Block Hardware products, from early development through production
• Define, maintain, and continuously improve standardized REL test plans by product category and development phase

The Role

As a member of the SRE team, you will proactively and reactively improve the reliability of Block's platform and critical infrastructure. You are metrics-driven, systems-oriented, and focused on building distributed platforms that enable safe, scalable product development.

You will leverage and continuously improve AI-driven tooling and automation to enhance observability, accelerate incident detection and response, and reduce operational toil. This includes applying AI to incident analysis, alert tuning, and operational workflows.

The Role

As a member of the SRE team, you will proactively and reactively improve the reliability of Block's platform and critical infrastructure. You are metrics-driven, systems-oriented, and focused on building distributed platforms that enable safe, scalable product development.

You will leverage and continuously improve AI-driven tooling and automation to enhance observability, accelerate incident detection and response, and reduce operational toil. This includes applying AI to incident analysis, alert tuning, and operational workflows.

You will participate in primary platform oncall (12 hours per day, one week every few weeks, depending on team size), supporting Block's most critical (Tier 0) services. In this role, you will lead incident command, coordinate mitigation, and drive effective escalation during high-severity events.

You Will

• Build and extend platforms to improve system reliability
• Work on team goals that encompass reliability for the entire company
• Standardize reliability tools across multiple platforms and organizations
• Triage, coordinate, and lead stabilization of sev 0–1 incidents
• Serve as primary oncall, maintaining structured escalation paths and exercising leadership escalation
• Drive platform-wide reliability improvements, shared operational tooling, and deploy-safety patterns
• Use AI-driven systems to improve signal detection, reduce noise, and accelerate root cause analysis
• Design and implement safe deployment patterns (progressive delivery, automated rollback, guardrails)

You Have

• Drive to root cause systems with many moving parts and take the necessary steps to fix them
• Demonstrated technical initiative and leadership on previous projects, especially those with a backend/platform focus
• Familiarity with AI-driven tooling for observability, incident analysis, or automation
• A mindset that naturally reaches for AI to accelerate problem-solving and reduce toil
• Experience running production oncall for high-availability systems
• Strong incident management skills — structured triage, mitigation under pressure, blameless postmortems
• Fluency with CI/CD pipelines, progressive rollout strategies, and rollback automation
• Monitoring & observability expertise — building/tuning alerts for uptime, error rates, latency regression, and resource exhaustion
• Ability to create and maintain evidence-based maturity assessments using trailing 90-day data windows.
• Comfort with vendor/dependency management — maintaining validated escalation contacts reachable within ≤ 5 minutes.
• Boundless curiosity, autonomy, and a strong sense of accountability
• A strong desire to perform and grow as an engineer
• 5+ years of software development experience

The Role

As a Supplier Manager on Block's Global Freight & Trade Compliance team, you'll be responsible for managing our global import compliance program across all of Block's Hardware portfolio. You'll own our customs clearance operations and import compliance strategy across all brands. You'll develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives while managing complex supplier business relationships, including pricing and contract negotiations, service quality, risk mitigation, and compliance assurance. Working within a lean, flexible logistics team, you'll build scalable compliance solutions that support both new product development and sustaining operations in the markets where Block operates, including the US, Canada, EU, UK, Japan, and Australia.

This role goes beyond traditional import compliance -  you'll work with cross-functional and external partners to drive outcomes in an outsourced compliance model through flexible solutions and strategic sourcing. As a high agency individual contributor, you’ll drive results through influence and partnership and lead complex negotiations, design scalable customs processes, and develop strategies that balance cost, speed, and operational excellence. As our subject matter expert for global import compliance, you'll bring deep industry knowledge and an established network of supplier relationships. You'll quickly assess our current program against industry benchmarks, optimize existing partnerships, and strategically develop new capabilities where needed. Where industry standards don't exist or don't fit Block's unique needs, you'll have the confidence and expertise to define what "good" looks like and establish performance standards that drive results. You'll have the autonomy to implement your vision while protecting Block's brand and partnerships in every market we operate.

You Will

• Design and optimize customs clearance networks for speed, cost, and compliance accuracy
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives including vendor selection, relationship management, and market intelligence
• Establish self-service capabilities and automation to reduce manual intervention and enable cross-functional teams
• Drive continuous improvement in clearance times, entry accuracy, and exception reduction through supplier performance management
• Develop and own business continuity plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions
• Manage HTS classification programs for Block's product catalog, including finished goods, components, and engineering assets
• Ensure accurate duty assessment and proper application of trade preference programs and duty drawback opportunities
• Oversee customs valuation, record retention, and supplier documentation requirements
• Lead operational implementation of Global Trade Management (GTM) systems 
• Create and maintain supplier performance metrics and lead quarterly business reviews
• Design scalable processes and documentation that elevate team knowledge
• Manage critical, ad hoc, and expedited shipments to ensure supply chain continuity

You Have

• 8+ years of experience in global logistics procurement and carrier management
• Deep expertise in HTS classification, customs valuation, entry filing, and import regulations, Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist is a plus 
• Established network of industry contacts and supplier relationships across customs brokerage, freight forwarding, classification services, and trade technology providers
• Demonstrated ability to reduce exceptions and improve clearance accuracy through effective supplier management
• Strong track record managing outsourced compliance programs across multiple regions
• Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management across cross functional teams, including communicating with technical and non-technical audiences 
• Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to establish standards where none currently exist 
• Expertise in contract structuring and negotiation
• Experience implementing Global Trade Management (GTM) systems (Oracle, SAP, Descartes)
• Advanced analytical skills with ability to identify trends and drive process improvements
