Agent-powered onboarding, dashboard experiences, and automation workflows are live and growing, and the engineering teams building them are moving quickly. This role is focused on low level firmware development, early board bring up, and system level enablement across microcontrollers and infotainment class SoCs.
As a founding member of this team, you will work close to the hardware and have end to end ownership from first power on through a stable, production ready platform. Your work will define boot flows, OS bring up, performance characteristics, and power behavior that future products and teams will build on.
This is a deeply hands-on role for engineers who enjoy operating at the boundary of hardware and software, solving hard problems, and setting technical direction rather than inheriting it. About the role
Information Security at HackerRank is responsible for protecting our platform, our customers, and our employees - while enabling teams to build and ship with confidence. We work closely with Engineering, Product, GTM, IT, and Legal to ensure security is embedded into how we operate, not layered on after the fact.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for owning HackerRank’s information security function end-to-end. You’ll set direction, build and lead the team, and be the primary security partner to Engineering, Product, and Go-To-Market teams. You’ll help customers and prospects feel confident sharing their data by providing reliable information and following through with internal teams.
You’ll work closely with Go-To-Market (GTM), product, engineering, and IT teams to complete customer security questionnaires, respond to follow-up questions, and support day-to-day security operations. This role contributes to improving HackerRank’s security posture through execution, documentation, and collaboration.
The Director of Information Security will lead and scale HackerRank’s global information security function, managing the Information Security team, setting and executing security strategy, driving risk management, and ensuring the security of our technology, data, and customer environments.
This role operates globally and partners closely with the PED team, Product, Engineering, IT, GTM, and Customer teams to align security strategy with business objectives, mitigate risk, and enable secure growth. The Director will also represent HackerRank’s security posture in customer and executive-facing discussions.

What you will do:
The role requires you to be part of the team that helps productize the SW stack for our AI compute engine. As part of the software team, you will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of software kernels for next-generation AI hardware. You possess experience building software kernels for HW architectures. You possess a very strong understanding of various hardware architectures and how to map algorithms to the architecture. You understand how to map computational graphs generated by AI frameworks to the underlying architecture. You have had past experience working across all aspects of the full stack toolchain and understand the nuances of what it takes to optimize and trade off various aspects of hardware-software co-design. You are able to build and scale software deliverables in a tight development window. Summary:
You will be a core engineer of our early-stage team. We work on everything from machine learning, to security, to high performance computing, to IoT devices, to dynamic web apps, etc. Don’t be surprised if you get to touch every system while you work here, often teaming up with other team members on critical work.
