The role

Role responsibilities
- Design GCP-native architectures using services such as BigQuery, Dataflow (Apache Beam), Cloud Composer (Airflow), Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, and Cloud Run
- Build and maintain data pipelines — batch and streaming — following medallion architecture patterns (Bronze / Silver / Gold)
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and manage deployments via Cloud Build or equivalent CI/CD tooling
- Define and apply GCP landing zone standards including IAM, VPC, Shared VPC, Private Service Connect, and Org policies
- Develop end-to-end Lakehouse solutions on Databricks — including Delta Lake table design, Unity Catalog governance, and MLflow model tracking
- Write and optimise PySpark and SQL workloads for large-scale transformations and feature engineering
- Configure Databricks clusters, job scheduling, auto-scaling, and cost controls in a GCP (DBX on GCP) environment
- Implement Databricks Workflows and Asset Bundles for orchestration and deployment automation
- Advise clients on Databricks platform adoption, including migration pathways from legacy Hadoop or on-premise data warehouses
- Lead technical workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with client technical and business teams
- Produce high-quality client-facing deliverables: architecture diagrams, technical specifications, migration runbooks, and data dictionaries
- Present solution designs and progress updates to client stakeholders — adapting technical communication to audience level (CTO to Business Analyst)
- Manage technical dependencies, risks, and issues across delivery workstreams — escalating to Delivery Managers as appropriate
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and maintain delivery velocity within Agile/Scrum or Kanban frameworks
- Implement data quality frameworks using tools such as Great Expectations, dbt tests, or Databricks Delta constraints
- Support data catalogue initiatives and metadata management using Dataplex or Unity Catalog
- Ensure GDPR/data residency compliance is embedded into solution design from the outset
- Support practice leads in responding to RFPs and RFIs — contributing to effort estimation, solution sizing, and proposal narrative
- Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing — through documentation, runbooks, and team enablement sessions
- Stay current with GCP and Databricks product roadmaps and proactively identify opportunities to introduce new capabilities to clients
Must have qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years of hands-on professional experience in cloud data engineering or GCP platform roles.

Role responsibilities
- Define and document the end-to-end target-state data architecture for enterprise client programmes — covering ingestion, storage, transformation, serving, and consumption layers
- Establish domain-driven data architecture boundaries aligned to business domains (e.g. Product, Customer, Order, Finance) using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
- Lead architecture design sessions with clients to align on technology choices, topology, and migration sequencing
- Produce architecture artefacts to a consultancy standard: C4 diagrams, data flow diagrams, architecture decision records (ADRs), and technology selection rationale documents
- Evaluate and recommend GCP-native vs. third-party component trade-offs — with clear cost, scalability, and maintainability justification
- Define and enforce enterprise data modelling standards across the programme — covering 3NF (operational layer), dimensional modelling (Kimball star/snowflake for analytics), and Data Vault 2.0 (historized, auditable Lakehouse layers) as appropriate
- Establish canonical data models for core business domains — ensuring consistency across squads and brands or business units
- Design and govern the metadata framework: schema standards, naming conventions, entity definitions, data dictionaries, and lineage documentation
- Oversee data contract design between producing and consuming domains — defining SLAs, schemas, versioning, and change management protocols
- Ensure models are optimized for the target query engine — BigQuery partitioning/clustering strategies, Delta Lake Z-ordering, and Databricks Photon engine considerations
- Design reusable, domain-oriented data product patterns — encapsulating ingestion, transformation, quality, and serving logic as deployable, versioned units
- Define the data product interface contract: output ports (APIs, tables, streams), SLOs, ownership, and discoverability metadata in Unity Catalog or Dataplex
- Establish a data product taxonomy aligned to business capability domains — enabling a self-serve data mesh posture for mature clients
- Create accelerators and reference implementations that mid-level engineers can adopt — reducing bespoke build and enforcing consistency
- Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics Engineering teams to ensure feature stores and ML feature pipelines are aligned to the broader data product architecture
- Drive data governance strategy across the programme — defining policies for data classification, access control, retention, and quality thresholds
- Design the governance operating model: data stewardship roles, data ownership accountability (domain owners vs. platform owners), and escalation paths
- Define the data release sequencing strategy — prioritizing domains and data products based on business value, dependency mapping, and technical readiness
- Establish lifecycle management policies for schema evolution, deprecation, and backward compatibility — enforced through Unity Catalog or equivalent cataloguing tooling
- Implement or oversee data quality frameworks (Great Expectations, dbt tests, Databricks Delta constraints) aligned to governance thresholds
- Provide hands-on architectural oversight during foundational delivery phases (Milestone 1 and equivalent programme gates) — ensuring the build conforms to the agreed architecture and standards
- Conduct architecture reviews and code/design walkthroughs with engineering squads — identifying deviations, technical debt, and remediation paths
- Chair Architecture Review Board (ARB) sessions with client technical leadership — presenting architecture decisions, trade-offs, and risk assessments
- Define and track architecture fitness functions — measurable criteria that validate the architecture is being implemented correctly across squads
- Serve as the escalation point for cross-squad architectural decisions, integration conflicts, and technology blockers
- Lead client architecture workshops, data strategy sessions, and roadmap definition exercises at executive and technical levels
- Produce and present strategic client-facing artefacts: Data Platform Vision documents, Architecture Blueprints, Governance Frameworks, and Capability Roadmaps
- Contribute to pre-sales and bid activities — leading the data architecture strand of RFP/RFI responses, solution sizing, and pitch presentations
- Represent Valtech's data architecture capability externally — through client advisory conversations, partner events, and thought leadership content.
Must have qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in data architecture, data platform engineering, or enterprise BI/analytics roles
- Demonstrable experience as a lead data architect on at least two large-scale enterprise data platform programmes

Role responsibilities
- Infrastructure Redesign: Architect and implement a new parallel processing framework optimized for Linux internals, replacing Windows-specific threading and IPC models.
- Numerical Precision Management: Design and implement strategies to handle platform-specific differences in floating-point arithmetic to ensure identical scheduling and result parity between legacy Windows and new Linux environments.
- Dependency Isolation & Management: Modernize and isolate the dependency chain, moving from Windows-specific libraries to cross-platform or Linux-native alternatives (e.g., using Conan or vcpkg).
- Performance Engineering: Profile and optimize system-level components including session lifecycles, memory management, and I/O for high-throughput Linux environments.
- Legacy Porting: Isolate and migrate complex C++ logic while maintaining strict functional equivalence
Must have qualifications
- Expert C++ (8+ years): Mastery of modern C++ (C++17/20), STL, and low-level systems programming.
- Cross-Platform Migration: Proven experience porting large-scale, performance-critical applications from Windows (Visual Studio) to Linux (GCC/Clang).
- Deep Linux Internals: Strong expertise in POSIX threads, IPC (Unix domain sockets, D-Bus), and Linux-specific performance tools (GDB, Valgrind, perf).
- Parallel Computing: Experience with high-concurrency architectures, lock-free data structures, and distributed scheduling.

We are looking for a new colleague is to become a full member of our system-team. The system-team consists of experienced SW developers and supports and expands the infrastructure for a backend software product that is being developed by six other development teams.
Mandatory skills and experience
4+ years of relevant professional experience
Infrastructure
- Basic understanding of Azure components (Kubernetes, network, …)
- Experience with working with Azure (pipelines, …)
- Basic understanding of SW development
- Understanding of programming concepts
- Practical experience with an (object-oriented) programming language (Java preferred)
- Basic proficiency in Bash and Python (or the ability to learn by yourself)
Softskills
- Ability to understand and solve complex problems

Ideal candidates should also

We are looking for a seasoned Product Owner with at least 5+ years of experience in the software industry, international projects and a minimum of 3+ years of working in a DevOps environment.
You will be working as part of a cross-functional team that takes responsibility for their applications throughout the full lifecycle. The team is currently working with a focus on design and development and will expand its focus to operational and automation aspects. We would like you to bring in your DevOps knowledge and experience to contribute to delivering excellency by the connected car team.

- As a Product Owner, you act as the central bridge between the customer and the development team. Your responsibilities include:
- Gathering, analyzing, and refining requirements to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Prioritizing the product backlog to maximize business value.
- Planning and coordinating sprints, ensuring timely and goal-oriented delivery.
- Defining acceptance criteria and supporting sprint reviews.
- Taking ownership of feature validation, ensuring deliverables meet expectations.
- You work in close collaboration with the stakeholders to maintain transparency on project progress and ensure alignment of goals and expectations across all parties.
- Applicants should demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, taking responsibility for their work from design through implementation and into operations.
