ETI’s Storage Infrastructure team is responsible for the core storage layer that underpins many of ETI's stateful services. Our scope ranges from managing the physical hardware to operating the distributed databases and storage systems built upon it. We run this infrastructure globally across Cloudflare's network, which presents unique and complex engineering puzzles. We navigate efficiently expanding storage capacity, optimizing rebuild operations, and coordinating operations across failure domains to uphold durability. While other service teams focus on product development, our mission is to ensure the underlying storage is reliable, performant, and scalable.
You’ll be joining a highly motivated team that is building the next generation of distributed storage services.
In this role, you will help build and operate the next generation of globally distributed storage systems. You will own your code from inception to release, delivering solutions at all layers of the stack. On any given day, you might write a design document for a new provisioning system, model failure domain dependencies across edge locations, benchmark new storage hardware, build standardized observability and runbooks for distributed database clusters, or automate operational toil through purpose-built tooling and intelligent automation. You can expect to interact with a variety of languages and technologies including Rust, Go, Saltstack, and Terraform.

Managing, deploying and maintaining large scale distributed Ceph storage solutions
Ensure high availability and performant storage by providing troubleshooting and debugging support, conducting performance tuning and continuously improving data integrity and reliability
Evolve processes and best practices to maximize performance and cost efficiency
Staying up to date with Ceph/Storage current developments and experimental features. Share findings and consult architecture changes with the team
Analyze storage trends and participate in capacity planning
Experience managing and administrating Ceph Storage, object and block
5+ years of experience with Linux systems tooling and troubleshooting in networking, configuration and deployment
First hand experience with industry standard storage protocols
Strong Kubernetes skills
Proven ability to mentor Junior Members of the team
Ceph & Rook expertise managing storage clusters with a deep understanding of the architectural and operational workings
Experience in designing and implementing large scale globally distributed storage systems

Platform Engineering is the department within SRE that is responsible for a range of critical infrastructure and operational functions that support the broader engineering organization. Among these are our multi-cloud-provider Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, load balancing (including our public-facing edge and internal service mesh), and observability and alerting systems.
The Fleet Management team provides the core runtime environment that empowers our developers to build and ship products to delight our customers. We manage the end-to-end lifecycle of our Kubernetes fleet, alongside the critical components that ensure cluster reliability and security (e.g., CoreDNS, cert-manager, and Gatekeeper). As our infrastructure scales to support new use cases and products, we are spearheading a migration from Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to an Operator-driven lifecycle management model.

We are looking for an experienced Senior or Staff Engineer for our SRE, InfraSec team, to guide the security of our cloud-based infrastructure. As a Staff SRE, you will be very hands-on technically while also mentoring a small team of SREs.

We are looking for a Solutions Architect with expertise in cloud infrastructure to support the success and retention of DigitalOcean's high-value customers. Reporting to the Manager of Solutions Architecture, you will work directly with Customer Success, Sales, and Support functions to retain and grow DigitalOcean’s largest and fastest growing customers. You will be the technical subject matter expert on DigitalOcean’s portfolio, advising on best practices and guiding customers to the optimal solution to meet their business objectives. You will work closely with other functions within DigitalOcean such as Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure the needs and insights from the local markets are funneled appropriately back into DigitalOcean's products and services.
This is an amazing growth opportunity for a highly motivated individual to establish and expand our presence within the region. Technical depth, excellent communication skills, and a self-starter mentality are needed.
As a Senior Solutions Architect II, you will serve as a technical partner to the success and sales teams. The U.S. annualized pay range for this position is $190,000 - $210,000 USD. In addition, certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales-based commissions. onX is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with a passion for building scalable platform Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems. Your focus will be on designing, developing, and scaling secure authentication, authorization, and user management services that are foundational to our platform. You will play a key role in evolving our IAM platform and delivering seamless cross-platform authentication across iOS, Android, and web.
You will be part of our Core Services team that enables product teams to build faster and more securely by providing core infrastructure, services, and patterns. This is a great opportunity to help shape the future of how users securely access and interact with onX's suite of outdoor technology products.
This position reports to the Director of Engineering, Core Services.
Our backend engineers primarily work in Go running in Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform. The IAM team works extensively with identity platforms (Ory Kratos, Hydra, Oathkeeper), distributed databases (CockroachDB), and OAuth 2.0/session management patterns. Understanding mobile authentication tradeoffs (WebView vs. browser-based auth, token-based patterns) is particularly relevant for this role.

Zynga is looking for a server-side engineer in the Austin, Chicago, Bay Area, or Toronto areas, and more specifically, someone whose level of experience should be equivalent to a Senior Software Engineer on the Wizard of Oz Slots.
We have a well-rounded and tight-knit, distributed team with a healthy mix of engineering skill levels, and are looking to strengthen our team. We need a self-driven and motivated engineer who is a strong communicator, works well as a team player, and performs well under pressure of tight deadlines.
The candidate would have an opportunity to work on critical game components that contribute to user-facing features, gameplay functionality, existing functionality & systems, and have a general focus on solving challenging problems for high profile titles.
Design, architect, and support back-end services running in AWS
Develop, integrate, and advocate for new technologies and tools
Load-test, benchmark and optimize infrastructure
Define, architect, and develop features and gameplay functionality in PHP
Maintain and develop CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tooling
Provide escalation support and infrastructure monitoring
Follow engineering standard methodologies to ensure code quality, performance and reliability
Work to identify and help to improve team and process inefficiencies
Help to mentor other engineers
Degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering) or equivalent experience
5+ Years of backend software development experience
Deep hands-on experience with cloud computing (preferably AWS)
Experience with PHP
Experience building and operating high-traffic, low-latency backend systems at scale
Strong familiarity and experience with database systems (SQL, NoSQL)
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and software methodologies
Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative environment
Prior game development experience (on shipped titles or live games experience)
Experience with Chef, Terraform and/or Jenkins
Experience in Vue.js or similar frontend frameworks
Experience migrating monolithic architectures to distributed microservices

The pay range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $96,400 and $142,660 CAD per Year.
The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $108,900 and $161,160 per Year.
The pay range for this position in Illinois at the start of employment is expected to be between $98,100 and $145,200 per Year.
However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program. Regular, full-time employees are also eligible for a range of benefits at the Company, including: medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage; 14 paid holidays per calendar year; paid vacation time per calendar year (ranging from 15 to 25 days) or eligibility to participate in the Company’s discretionary time off program; up to 10 paid sick days per calendar year; paid parental and compassionate leave; wellbeing programs for mental health and other wellness support; family planning support through Maven; commuter benefits; and reimbursements for fitness-related expenses. You’ll be a technical leader on a team responsible for improving system reliability, reducing operational toil, and establishing best practices across engineering.bIn this position, you’ll design how reliability works in UJET, influence engineering decisions, and build the tooling and processes that make production safer and more predictable.
This is an early position in the company's SRE function. You will have direct input into how reliability standards and practices are established, which forms the foundation on which product engineering builds.
