Data Center Technician I (Nights)

The Job  

The Data Center Technician will monitor and manage power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions in the data center. Act as a first responder to incidents that arise within the data center envelope. This position will manage workflow for planned and unplanned data center work to ensure timely completion and ensure processes adhere to federal and local safety laws and policies.  

Responsibilities 

• Maintain the daily operation of the data center from a service delivery perspective 
• Utilize, understand, and evaluate data received from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Building Monitoring System (BMS) to monitor infrastructure health and the effectiveness of planned and unplanned maintenance.  
• Coordinate the preventive maintenance of data center electrical and mechanical equipment and manage communication of such activities with internal and customer stakeholders.  
• Assist with the development, revision, and execution of operating procedures and preventive maintenance inspections and perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy, clarity, and continual improvement.  
• Resolve all electrical and mechanical issues within the data center promptly, minimizing risk and effectively communicating issues to leadership.  
• Respond to emergencies and critical issues as necessary (independently and as a team), according to staffing and the situation, to achieve complete recovery.  
• Gather data and readings, troubleshoot and document technical issues, escalate as appropriate, and ensure issue resolution.  
• Maintain accurate facility data, including rounds, preventive maintenance (PM) work orders, change incidents, and problem management.  
• Develop and maintain documentation alongside operating procedures and facility data to create value-add metrics for both Core Scientific and our customers 
• Maintain strict adherence to change control activities and assist in improving systems.  
• Work effectively with outside contractors and ensure they abide by critical facility work and safety rules.    
• Participate regularly in facility training, safety, and compliance programs.  
• Participate in construction and commissioning as the Core Scientific Construction team directs.    
• Maintain a clean and debris-free facility, overseeing property management tasks such as facility rounds at the beginning of each shift, janitorial services, and landscaping.

Qualifications 

• A high school diploma/GED is required.  A degree in a related field or a technical certification is preferred.

• Technical knowledge of systems such as electrical distribution, emergency/standby power, HVAC, fire protection, UPS systems, floor PDUs, rack PDUs, CRAH units, and monitoring and control systems (BMS/CMMS) is required. 
• Proficiency in algebraic math computations is required. 
• A valid driver’s license is required. 
• Understanding networking hardware and software, including routers, switches, and protocols, is preferred. 
• Ability to write reports and understand schematic and architectural drawings is required. 
• Strong communication skills are required.

The Job  

The Security Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and management of the security systems platform with a strong emphasis on projects under construction. The candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of security industry standards and experience coordinating these practices with contractors, architects, and other project managers in the design phase. This role also ensures that state-of-the-art technologies are integrated into the security profile of on-going construction projects, which include corporate, data center, and high-security facilities.  

Responsibilities 

• Review architectural drawings to ensure interior floor plans and vehicular traffic flows align with established security standards.  
• Review camera, access control system (ACS), and intrusion detection drawings in a quality control capacity.  
• Collaborate with Core Scientific’s Site Development group and the larger design team when introducing design recommendations.  
• Update the security Basis of Design as necessary 
• Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, building codes, and company security policies. 
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal construction security regulations.  
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to meet specific industry standards (e.g., NIST, ANSI, ISO 27001, SOC 2). 
• Partner with Core Scientific’s Electronic Security System (ESS) Infrastructure Designer, external security consultants, architects, and general contractors to seamlessly integrate security design standards into all project phases.  
• Participate in RFI and Submittal processes. 
• Conduct audits of system installations and participate in the commissioning of end-state security platforms. 
• Collaborate with vendors involved in security infrastructure installations encompassing visitor management, key control, and radio communication systems.  
• Oversee the installation of temporary and permanent security measures at construction sites. 
• Provide recommendations for security infrastructure improvements and budget planning. 
• Present detailed security reports and project updates to management and key stakeholders. 
• Maintain, review, and update ACS, visitor management and key control policies as needed.

Qualifications 

• A bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk, etc. 
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel

 The Job  

The Paralegal will work under the direction of the Chief Legal Officer and attorneys in the legal department to deliver professional legal and administrative services to the company's executives and employees. This role will proactively focus on equity/stock administration and department reporting. 

Responsibilities 

• Compile and review contracts, team, and corporate activity data to assist the department with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements for finance and accounting. 
• Utilize contract administration software to reconcile and archive active/inactive agreements regularly, support internal teams with upcoming contract expiration reminders, and be the point of contact for user questions, etc.  
• Provide administrative support to the legal and internal departments as requested.  
• Support preparing and gathering signatures for commercial contracts, including NDAs, vendor/supplier agreements, customer agreements, and other matters as required. 
• Coordinate and support the Board of Directors and Board committee meetings, including preparation and distribution of board materials and maintaining related corporate records. 
• Ensure compliance with Section 16 reporting, including drafting and filing Forms 3, 4 and 5 and performing detailed compliance reviews of Forms 3 and Forms 4. 
• Assist brokers with Section 16 stock matters. 
• Maintain stock ownership records for Section 16 directors and officers. 
• Coordinate and manage the relationship with the transfer agent.  
• Administer all equity transactions, including processing stock option exercises, restricted stock unit release, restricted stock releases, granting of new equity awards, and the semi-annual ESPP program, tax withholdings, expirations, cancellations, repurchases, terminations and other plan-related actions and coaching of team members on these activities. 
• Generate reports as needed for an audit, tax, and legal filings (including all aspects of financial reporting as it relates to equity plans, i.e. 10-Q, 10-K, and 14A filings). 
• Coordinate and provide adequate information and timely responses related to equity transactions with finance, HR, and legal departments to ensure effective transaction processing. 
• Maintain supporting workbooks, perform routine audits and prepare accurate reports as needed for an audit, tax and legal filings. 
• Partner regularly with internal team members and external consultants to ensure compliance, tax reporting and regulatory requirements are maintained for all stock plans. 
• Ensure documentation is in place for internal and external audits as well as Sarbanes Oxley testing and compliance.

The Job  

The Journeyman, Mechanical is a skilled tradesperson who has completed an apprenticeship and is fully qualified to work independently in the mechanical trades involving one or more of the following: heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, piping, or mechanical systems. 

The Journeyman will be responsible for performing journey-level mechanical duties in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of gasoline, diesel, battery, and electric equipment. 

Responsibilities 

• Break-fix of all Electro-mechanical systems (HVAC, Hydronics, Appliances, Rollup doors, dock locks, air compressors, etc.) 
• Conduct spill and leak detection system inspections and repairs as needed. 
• Hydronic rack cooling (Deschutes) maintenance and commissioning. 
• PMs on HVAC and Hydronic systems (Pumps, Strainers, Cooling Towers, etc.). 
• Team scheduling and material requisition. 
• Contribute to site failure reporting (Equipment Status Log). 
• Provide mechanical project support. 
• Clean In Place on heat exchangers.  
• Chiller tube inspections and cleaning.

The Job  

The Journeyman should be an experienced outside lineman, inside wireman, installer technician, electrician, or Master Electrician who has been engaged in the trade for at least seven (7) years.  

The Journeyman will be responsible for performing journey-level electrical duties in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment at the assigned data center. 

Responsibilities 

• Perform lighting preventative maintenance. 
• Perform battery preventative maintenance and inverter testing on battery backups for lights. 
• Perform assigned duties related to rack moves, deployments, and decommissioning.  
• Perform preventative maintenance and related security gate repair. 
• Responsible for team scheduling and material requisition. 
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes. 
• Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and necessary repairs. 
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective maintenance. 
• Plan and lay out electrical wiring, conduit, and fixtures based on blueprints, schematics, and job specifications 
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices (ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, etc.) 
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components. 
• Maintain spill Prevention kits for generators, substations, etc. 
• Ability to overcome willpower issues (nonscheduled, high-priority work); usually, DC floor-related problems are related to cooling.

The Job  

The Assistant Manager, Critical Facilities, is responsible for all aspects of data center operations and maintenance of critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, systems, and staff, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to safety and reliability within the Data Center. Working with the Critical Facilities Manager, assist in building a team of Critical Facilities Technicians (CFTs), Engineers, and outside contractors capable of achieving 100% availability. The Assistant Manager understands and can train staff on colocation data center environments, including the planning and layout of power and cabling, customer needs, and remote hands functions. 

Responsibilities 

• Assist in the management of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems. 
• Build a staff of technicians with the necessary skill sets to accomplish data center operations that deliver total availability (100% uptime) while minimizing risks for customers. 
• Manage power and cooling capacity and monitor environmental conditions within data halls. 
• Work shifts to support 24x7 data center operations, have flexibility in work hours to cover other shifts, and support maintenance activities, as needed. 
• Resolve all electrical, mechanical, and fire protection system issues in the data center while minimizing risks and communicating issues to management and customers. 
• Assist in a leadership capacity, coordinating data center construction and commissioning, and overseeing the transition from construction to sustainable operations. 
• Review results from preventive maintenance inspections and provide guidance on how to address issues found. 
• Assume an ownership stake in the ongoing evolution and operation of the facility's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). 
• Ensure that all staff adhere to company standards for using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). 
• Oversee accuracy and completeness of the CMMS, produce operational reports as needed. 
• Enforce strict adherence to customer SLAs and change control activities. 
• Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and reviewing work handled by outside contractors and vendors. 
• In the absence of the manager, assume a leadership role with limited authority. 
• Assist with site tours for current and future customers as required.

The Job

The Director of External Affairs leads efforts to advance Core Scientific’s strategic position and stakeholder adoption across Texas, Oklahoma, and other markets, directly influencing organizational growth, market expansion, and key stakeholder and partner alignment. This role builds trusted relationships, earns credibility, and establishes a strong presence across the region.

Responsibilities

• Establish a proactive stakeholder intelligence framework that enables executive leadership to anticipate and respond to emerging stakeholder, policy, and market risks with no material surprises.
• Build and maintain proactive relationships with state legislators, legislative committees, and governors’ energy offices across Texas, Oklahoma and other states as determined.
• Serve as Core’s primary point of contact for state government affairs, anticipating legislative and executive priorities that may affect Core’s activities, and positioning Core as a credible, accessible resource for policymakers navigating the energy transition.
• Collaborate with internal counter parties to develop messaging and execute public communications and outreach campaigns that elevate Core's visibility and credibility.
• Build and maintain a consistent and visible presence in regional forums and stakeholder discussions, establishing credibility and serving as a trusted source of insight to inform and advance organizational priorities.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy that establishes Core as a trusted, proactive partner across the states, including utilities, regulators, policymakers, and regional forums.
• Deliver measurable progress in relationship depth and stakeholder awareness and maintain relationships moving forward.
• Act as the primary liaison between Core and key stakeholders, ensuring timely and clear communication of organizational priorities, services developments, and strategic initiatives. Be present, accessible, and credible in the regional forums and conversations to add value and bring needed insights forward.
• Collaborate closely with Corporate Communications to ensure all regional communications are consistent with Core's brand and corporate strategy, messaging standards, and brand, while remaining tailored to the unique context of Western stakeholders.
• Provide timely, candid strategic guidance to the Chief Power & Policy Officer on key stakeholder dynamics, local and state issues and opportunities, regulatory developments, and communications opportunities, with particular focus on areas where such dynamics create reputational risk or opportunity.
•  Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate stakeholder engagement and the effectiveness of communications.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Public Policy, Business, Energy Policy, or a related field
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in stakeholder engagement, public affairs, communications, regulatory policy, or energy industry roles
• Demonstrated success managing stakeholder relationships in complex regulatory or policy environments
• Proven ability to influence and advise senior leadership on stakeholder engagement and communications strategy
• Strong strategic communications and messaging development skills, with the ability to craft narratives that resonate across diverse and sometimes skeptical audiences
• Ability to translate complex energy, regulatory, and market concepts into clear and compelling messaging for non-technical audiences
• Strong facilitation, relationship-building, and executive presentation skills
• A bias for action and demonstrated ability to build programs, relationships, and presence where little existed before

Preferred

• Existing relationships within Texas and or Oklahoma utilities, with key stakeholders, county commissioners, and/or policy makers
• Experience working with executive leadership, regulators, and energy industry stakeholders in a high-visibility, external-facing role

The Job

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) leads the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes. This role is critical in providing data-driven insights and strategic financial guidance to support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling and analytical skills with leadership experience and a deep understanding of business operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes across all business units.
• Develop, maintain, and improve complex financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial performance reports and dashboards to senior leadership.
• Analyze business performance and key drivers, offering insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Partner with department heads and business leaders to develop financial plans aligned with corporate objectives.
• Present financial results, trends, and forecasts to executive leadership and board members.
• Manage and develop the FP&A team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
• Drive automation and improvements in financial reporting systems, tools, and processes.
• Support M&A, capital investment, and strategic initiatives with financial analysis and modeling.
• Ensure alignment of financial goals with company strategy, and monitor financial risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required.
• An MBA or CFA is strongly preferred.
• 8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance roles.
• Proven experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes in a complex organization.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Hyperion), and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to executives and boards.
• Strong leadership and people management abilities.
