About the Role

In this role, you will focus on designing and developing software that captures, encodes, and transmits large volumes of vehicle logs with maximum performance and reliability. You will build system services for secure and efficient data delivery from the car to the cloud, as well as backend services that control data transfer and processing workflows. You will work closely on optimizing storage and processing pipelines in the cloud, ensuring that terabytes of data can be moved, stored, and analyzed at scale. Your work will directly support the data platform architecture, enabling faster development cycles and providing the insights needed to advance autonomous driving technology.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain logging software for autonomous driving system.

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of experience in system-level software development.
• Proficiency in Linux-based systems, including both x86 and embedded devices.
• Proficiency in one of the required programming languages (Python, C++, Go).
• Familiarity with distributed systems and data storage solutions.
• Experience with backend development and cloud services (AWS is a significant plus).
• Solid understanding of large-scale data processing principles.
• Basic understanding of software system security principles.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Linux distribution management, particularly Ubuntu and NixOS (the latter is a significant plus).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD processes on GitHub, AWS, and Kubernetes for cloud infrastructure.
• Willingness to engage in cross-functional tasks and learn new technologies.

Site Infrastructure Engineer (Networking & Compute)

About the team

The Site Infrastructure team owns server and network infrastructure across Avride's physical locations — AV garages and offices. We ensure R&D and fleet operations have the reliable compute and connectivity they need as the autonomous vehicle fleet scales.

About the role

You will own two domains: server hardware and on-site networking. This is a hands-on, on-site role that puts you at the center of building and scaling the physical infrastructure behind Avride's self-driving technology.

What you will do

• Assemble, image, rack, and cable custom-built servers — often non-standard configurations with the latest CPUs and GPUs
• Deploy and maintain switches, routers, and structured cabling across garage and office sites
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, network, and ISP connectivity issues end to end
• Select server configurations based on workload requirements and hardware trade-offs
• Maintain high-throughput network performance and uptime across all locations
• Manage physical site infrastructure: rack layouts, cabling runs, power, cooling, and equipment lifecycle
• Create and maintain internal documentation: runbooks, infrastructure diagrams, and configuration notes
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to support testing, development, and production needs

What you will need

• Proficiency with enterprise network equipment at an administrator or engineer level (MikroTik, Cisco, Juniper, Ubiquiti, FS, or similar)
• Strong grasp of routing, switching, VLANs, and high-throughput network architecture
• Solid Linux administration skills (system-level configuration, diagnostics, networking stack)
• Experience assembling, troubleshooting, and selecting optimal server hardware configurations
• Comfort with physical work: racking, stacking, cabling, and maintaining server room environments

Nice to have

• Experience with server room or small-DC design (power planning, cooling, layout)
• Familiarity with NixOS or declarative system management
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)

About the team

The ML Platform team at Avride builds the infrastructure that powers large-scale ML training and data processing for autonomous driving. We sit between Cloud Platform and ML engineers, turning low-level compute, storage, and networking primitives into an ML platform that teams actually use — scalable orchestration, distributed compute, and production-grade tooling for the full model lifecycle.

About the role

As an ML Platform Engineer at Avride, you'll own critical pieces of the ML stack: workflow orchestration, distributed execution, resource governance, performance.You will shape how ML teams across the company run experiments and train models at scale. You will build the abstractions and services that make training workloads reliable, cost-efficient, and fast, helping ML teams run at scale on Kubernetes with strong reliability and excellent developer experience.

What you will do

• Build and scale our ML compute platform on Kubernetes, using Argo Workflows for training, evaluation, and data processing orchestration
• Design and implement core platform capabilities, including a Ray-based internal SDK for distributed execution, and multi-tenant resource governance — scheduling, priorities, quotas, and policy enforcement across GPU, CPU, memory, and IO
• Improve end-to-end training throughput and platform efficiency by optimizing data access patterns, caching, and removing bottlenecks in storage, network, and resource contention
• Work directly with ML teams to debug complex workload issues, drive root-cause analysis, and turn recurring problems into platform-level fixes
• Evaluate, integrate and extend open-source tooling (Argo Workflows, Ray, Kubernetes ecosystem) to meet evolving platform needs

What you will need

• Strong proficiency in Python or Go; C++ is a plus
• Track record of designing and building scalable, maintainable systems and services
• Experience operating production services end-to-end: APIs, reliability practices, observability
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes: how scheduling, resource management, controllers, and pod lifecycle actually behave under pressure
• Solid Linux and systems debugging skills: performance investigation, networking, storage/IO
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across logs, metrics, and traces and drive them to resolution

Nice to have

• Experience with Argo Workflows, Ray, MLflow, or comparable distributed ML tooling
• Hands-on experience building or operating large-scale ML training systems: GPU scheduling, distributed training, training data pipelines
• Track record of optimizing resource usage and performance in distributed environments

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on IT Team Lead to own and grow our internal IT function. You’ll lead a small team responsible for internal IT end-to-end across both operations and systems, helping keep employees productive, equipped, and supported throughout their time at the company.

This is a leadership role with real operational ownership. You’ll drive how internal IT services are delivered, improve the tools and processes behind them, and stay close enough to the work to step in on complex or high-priority issues when needed. Your scope will include employee lifecycle support, end-user support, hardware and software management, access coordination, workplace technology, internal IT systems, and keeping IT processes effective, well-documented, and audit-ready.

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and grow the IT team. Set priorities, distribute work, and maintain high service quality across the full scope of internal IT.
  
  
• Own core IT processes: onboarding and offboarding, end-user support, hardware and software provisioning, license administration, and access coordination.
  
  
• Manage the corporate device and software lifecycle — inventory planning, procurement follow-up, renewals, returns, and optimization of hardware and SaaS usage.
  
  
• Partner with HR, Security, Workplace, Finance, and other stakeholders on employee lifecycle workflows, access processes, office IT, and audit-readiness in IT-owned domains.
  
  
• Identify bottlenecks, risks, and scaling gaps. Drive improvements in workflows, tooling, automation, documentation, and team structure — while staying hands-on in complex cases.

What you will need

• 5+ years in IT operations or a broad internal IT function, including experience leading a team.
