Neuralink is looking for a hands-on Network & Systems Engineer with deep expertise in data center design, build, and operations. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of our compute and network infrastructure — from site buildout and hardware procurement through deployment, automation, and day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate brings equal comfort on the data center floor and at the keyboard, thrives in a fast-paced high-stakes environment, and has a passion for building reliable, scalable systems from the ground up. • Design, build, and operate data center environments including power infrastructure (PDUs, UPS, generators), cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, liquid cooling), and scalable racking solutions
• Procure, rack, cable, and commission server and network hardware; perform BIOS/firmware tuning and integration testing
• Own the full server lifecycle — from hardware selection and vendor coordination through deployment, maintenance, and decommission
• Administer and manage HPC clusters, storage systems, and high-speed networksAutomate server provisioning using PXE/HTTP boot, scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python), and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet
• Administer Linux and Windows server environments including OS deployment, patching, and performance tuning
• Deploy, maintain, and monitor campus network infrastructure including switching, routing, wireless, and NAC; respond aggressively to incidents to maintain uptime
• Plan and coordinate maintenance windows, upgrades, and expansions; maintain 24/7 on-call readiness
• Ensure all systems comply with HIPAA, PII handling requirements, and applicable cybersecurity standards (ISO, NIST)
• Author and maintain documentation including network topology, systems design, runbooks, and SOPs
• Manage network and server hardware inventory

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst, Arista, and enterprise wireless technologies
• Experience building and supporting HPC or high-density compute environments: GPU clusters, high-performance storage, 
• Working knowledge of routing protocols and network technologies: BGP, OSPF, ECMP, eBPF, SFLOW, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NTP, PTP, ARP, CDP, LLDP
• Familiarity with DCIM tools and infrastructure monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)
• Experience with firewalls, SDWAN, and enterprise security technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Wave Division Multiplexing, Fiber Optics, GPON, and FTTH
• Familiarity with cluster resource managers (Slurm, LSF, PBS)
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) and storage ecosystems (NAS/SAN, NFS/iSCSI)
• Exposure to real-time systems and industrial telemetry networks

Team Description:

The Data Engineering Team works closely with other teams—neuroscientists, physicists, roboticists, chip designers, pathologists, and mechanical engineers—to build Neuralink’s centralized data aggregation and analysis platform. This data platform collects, organizes, and visualizes a diverse set of data ranging from neural signal recordings and brain histology images to microfabrication manufacturing data. Our team owns projects that drive engineering and experimentation at Neuralink.

Team Description:

The Robot Manufacturing Software team allows Neuralink to build neurosurgical robots at a scale that has never been done before. Every robot that ships was tracked, assembled, calibrated, and verified through the software you'll build. This is the backbone of how we scale from early production to meeting real clinical demand.

We're a small, tightly knit team - and this role is the first dedicated owner of the robot manufacturing software stack. As the company scales, so will the complexity, and you'll be the one designing and building the systems that make all of that possible.

We operate as a tight, high-trust team. You'll have direct ownership and the autonomy to solve hard problems, but also high expectations.

We're moving fast to meet clinical demand and keep up with deployments. 60-hour weeks are not uncommon, and there are stretches where the pace is high. This isn't for everyone.

As a Software Engineer on the Robot Manufacturing Team,  you'll work directly with robot engineers and surgical engineers to understand what they need, then build it. You won't be handed a spec doc from a product manager three layers removed from the problem. 

Some days you're heads-down writing code all day. On another day, you might spend a morning pairing with a robot engineer to understand a new calibration process, then spend the afternoon building the tracking system for it. The constant is that you're close to the problem and shipping solutions quickly. Projects you will work on: 

• Inventory and warehouse management systems that track every component going into a neurosurgical robot - from raw materials through final assembly
• Lifecycle management software that engineers use to build, calibrate, verify, and maintain robots throughout their entire lifespan
• Whatever else needs building. The scope of problems here is wide and constantly evolving. You'll have real ownership over the direction this stack grows

Team Description:

The Pathology and Digital Imaging team enables the rigorous preclinical studies our devices go through before reaching a user. Testing is precise; analyzing tissue to understand exactly what happened at the cellular level. This team is crucial for proving  safety, improving our  device, and pushing  science forward.

Histological analysis has shown that Neuralink's threads preserve 98% of neurons at the implant interface. The Pathology and Digital Imaging Team makes these kinds of analyses possible.

This is a small, tightly knit team, and you'll work directly with pathologists, technicians, and neuroscientists. You'll watch them use your software, hear what's slow, see what's confusing, and ship fixes and features fast. The feedback loop is measured in hours, not sprints.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer on the Pathology and Digital Imaging Team,  you'll own the software stack that powers Neuralink's pathology and histology operations. This spans the full lifecycle - from the moment tissue is collected at necropsy, through processing, staining, and imaging.

You’ll build the software that makes this analysis scalable: tracking thousands of tissue specimens from collection through microscopic analysis, giving scientists the tools to analyze billion-pixel images, and building AI tools to auto-analyze tissue response. Projects you will work on: 

• Tissue specimen tracking systems that follow samples, organ blocks, and slides through every step of the histology workflow
• A high-performance whole-slide image viewer that renders billion-pixel microscopy images in the browser
• Annotation and analysis tools that let scientists draw regions of interest, score pathology findings, and compare serial sections with image alignment and overlay
• ML annotation pipelines where model predictions are surfaced to scientists for validation, accelerating the analysis of large tissue datasets

Neuralink is looking for a hands-on IT Systems Administrator to own the day-to-day technology experience for every employee at the company. You will be responsible for endpoint management, identity and access management, security policy enforcement, and front-line technical support across a diverse user base — from highly technical engineers to non-technical scientists and clinicians. The ideal candidate is empathetic, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where reliable systems and excellent customer service are critical to the company’s mission.

• Provide expert end-user technical support across macOS, Windows, and Linux environments as part of a tier-1 support rotation.
• Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint devices using MDM platforms (e.g., Jamf, Intune, Kandji), including application deployment, configuration profiles, and policy enforcement.
• Administer identity provider (IDP) and IAM systems including Microsoft Entra, Google Workspace, Okta, or similar; manage user lifecycle from onboarding through off-boarding.
• Implement and enforce security policies across endpoints, SaaS applications, and corporate systems; conduct regular audits and remediation.
• Administer and maintain SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other business-critical tools.
• Perform L1 and L2 network troubleshooting including connectivity issues, VLAN assignments, and Wi-Fi connectivity diagnostics.
• Manage endpoint hardware inventory including procurement, asset tagging, deployment, and lifecycle tracking.

Required Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience providing expert-level end-user support across macOS, Windows, and Linux environments, ideally as part of a structured tier-1 support rotation
• Hands-on experience administering at least one enterprise MDM platform (Jamf, Intune, or Kandji), including application deployment, configuration profiles, and policy enforcement at scale
• Demonstrated experience administering an enterprise IDP/IAM platform (Microsoft Entra, Okta, or Google Workspace) including full user lifecycle management, SSO configuration, MFA enforcement, and access reviews
• Experience implementing and enforcing security policies across endpoints and SaaS applications, with working knowledge of HIPAA requirements, PII handling, and the ability to conduct regular audits and remediations

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

The Infrastructure Team builds the foundation that enables the company to operate safely, robustly, and move at light-speed. We run a mixture of cloud-based and on-prem systems and have a user base spanning from highly technically proficient engineers to non-technical scientists and doctors; but all of them need solid systems, rugged networking, and bullet-proof software to do their jobs. This role will integrate tightly with teams across the company, and span all layers of the work environment stack, from deployment of physical hardware on the manufacturing line, to custom tooling to stream neural recordings from implants.
