About the team
Stripe Terminal helps our users extend their online presence to the physical world. The Terminal team’s mission is to make it as easy for businesses to accept in-person payments as the Stripe API has done for online payments. Stripe was founded to make it easier for developers to accept payments. We’ve solved a small part of that problem, but our ambition is to go much further.
What you’ll do
- Android engineers on this team will build and enhance applications, services, and the OS that run on the physical Terminal devices.
- Building the frameworks for other engineers, both internal and external to Stripe, to develop on our custom platform with ease.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain Android apps and SDKs in Kotlin
- Develop Android payment applications for a variety of devices and form factors
- Work with engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders across the company to bring new features and products to Stripe’s mobile users
- Collaborate with Android developers who work on the Stripe mobile apps and Stripe Terminal to set best practices for Android development across the company
- Work with user research and product design to understand users and address their needs

The Role

The Role
As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll wear two hats: driving complex technical projects from conception to delivery while coding alongside the team, and providing people leadership to a small group of direct reports (3–5 engineers). This role is designed to keep you technical—we aim for a 70/30 split between building and managing. This is hands-on technical leadership with meaningful people impact.
We’re building the next generation of sleep technology that seamlessly connects millions of IoT devices through complex mobile applications. Our iOS and Android apps handle real-time Bluetooth/Wi-Fi communication with hardware, process massive datasets, and maintain sub-second response times across distributed systems.
This role has broad scope across the mobile organization — you’ll collaborate across our three Hatch Pillars (Adult, Kids, Foundations) and partner with mobile engineers throughout the teams. This role also means stepping into AI-forward technical leadership. Hatch is all-in on AI-assisted development — it's not a future state, it's how we work today. The right person will help us continue raising the bar on how our engineers use these tools, set expectations for what good looks like, and model that for others.
You’ll play a meaningful role in work that spans the full Hatch product experience: transitioning from device-first to service-first experiences, launching AI-powered sleep chat to scale expert guidance, and building features that drive daily engagement. What You’ll Do
- Take rough ideas (sketches, voice memos, half-finished docs) and turn them into something real and clickable, fast. The first version is usually the same day.
- Build prototypes for the surfaces that make the product tangible: the map, widgets, Live Activities, voice, in-app moments where information surfaces automatically. Some will ship. Most will get thrown away. Both outcomes are useful.
- Make tasteful UI calls without waiting for design to spec every pixel. Design refines. You get it 80% there.
- Sit in the room when product direction gets debated. Push back when something doesn't feel right. We need engineers who are part of the conversation, not waiting for the output.
- Use AI tooling aggressively. Orchestrate agents to generate code, write tests, and review your work. The whole point of this team is that a small group with the right tools outperforms a much larger one.
- Ship to test groups, watch how people actually use what you built, iterate. The feedback loop is short and you are inside it.

- Work within our Mobile Tooling team and across the Lyft Mobile development community to create and maintain our mobile build and release infrastructure, building great tools for hundreds of mobile engineers to build, test, and release apps quickly, making their day-to-day joyful and productive.

Experience:

You’ll be an integral part of shaping and enhancing the registry building and shopping experience as Babylist becomes the specialty retailer in baby commerce. Our platform provides parents-to-be with a carefully curated selection of baby essentials, personalized recommendations, and a seamless shopping experience — and the iOS app is how millions of families interact with all of it. Collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and full-stack engineers, you’ll contribute to building the foundation of our business. Your work will directly shape an app used by millions of users, ensuring it delivers a user-friendly, efficient, and delightful experience for parents preparing for the arrival of their new baby.
We’re looking for builders — engineers who are excited about solving hard problems, moving fast, and helping invent what AI-first mobile development looks like at Babylist. Role lines blur here intentionally: you’ll contribute to architectural decisions, collaborate across product areas, and be expected to bring ideas, not just execute specs.
Who You Are
- A high-performing engineer with 6+ years of iOS development experience and a strong understanding of the capabilities, limitations, and intricacies of the iOS platform
- You have proven experience in iOS app development using Swift and a deep understanding of its syntax, features, and best practices
- You are familiar with Foundation, UIKit, CoreAnimation, Auto Layout, and other foundational Apple frameworks. You have hands-on experience building UIKit components in code and have worked closely with designers in tools like Figma
- You have a passion for building consumer-facing products or e-commerce solutions — you understand the importance of delivering an exceptional user experience and are motivated to create engaging, intuitive iOS apps
- You are familiar with iOS frameworks, architecture, and design patterns — including MVC and other architectural patterns — and can leverage them to build scalable, maintainable iOS applications
- You thrive in a quickly growing environment and are excited to lead business-critical projects and unlock new capabilities
- You have experience testing, monitoring, and running production software and are focused on continuing to grow your skills
- You have a passion for identifying gaps in team processes or execution and love driving impactful improvements

- You actively use AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) as part of your daily workflow, bring the architectural judgment to know when to trust AI-generated code and when to course-correct, and are comfortable with a higher experimentation rate — including bets that don’t pan out
How You Will Make An Impact
- Own the full development lifecycle of the Babylist iOS app — conceptualizing, designing, building, and maintaining features that deliver a seamless, delightful user experience
- Optimize app performance by identifying areas for improvement, refining code, and employing techniques that keep interactions fast and responsive
- Partner closely with designers, product managers, and full-stack engineers to translate requirements into intuitive, visually polished interfaces and align on architecture and API design
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices — setting the standard for quality and keeping the codebase healthy long-term
- Leverage testing techniques, unit tests, and debugging tools to proactively catch and resolve issues before they reach users
- Lead the team in adopting AI-first development approaches — using AI tooling to accelerate code quality, speed up refactoring and test creation, and raise the bar on what’s possible. As a Senior Engineer, that includes knowing when AI-generated code needs architectural correction, not just acceptance
- Mentor other team members through design and architecture planning, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Show up as a collaborative, engaged team member — contributing ideas, shaping the direction of the iOS app, and making the team better through your insight and presence
About Compensation
We use a market-based approach to compensation. The starting salary range for this role is:
USD $186,000 to $233,500
CAD $192,400 to $240,500
Your starting salary will be based on your location, experience, and qualifications, with increases over time tied to performance, role growth, and internal pay equity.

- Build high-quality features using Swift, while helping evolve and modernize legacy Objective-C code
- Own features end-to-end — from design and implementation through to testing and release
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product, and design to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions
- Break down work into small, shippable increments and contribute to estimation and planning

- You will have a deep understanding of both our product and customers to uniquely collaborate through fielding feedback and feature requests to identify product opportunities and appropriately convey that information to the correct product groups or within specific ongoing initiatives.
- Use knowledge of platform to qualify, triage, repackage debugging steps and communicate effectively to technical teams to ensure that customer inquiries are accurately represented and on a swift path to resolution.
- Own level 1 support of internal support channels, resolving as many issues and prioritizing fixes where appropriate.

Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our growing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for applying your technical expertise to scale our AI-powered all-in-one practice management platform for health and wellness professionals. You'll collaborate with a cross-functional team (Engineering, Product, Design) to understand customer needs, address technical challenges, and make technology decisions to deliver innovative, high-quality experiences that improve customers' lives.

About the role:
The Platform Frontend team is focused on building and maintaining a robust platform that supports all frontend development. This team oversees key areas like architecture, design patterns, frameworks, libraries, UI components, development environments, tools, and deployment processes. What You’ll Do
- Design and implement high-quality native mobile SDKs that enable developers to integrate embedded wallet functionality into their applications, with a strong focus on API ergonomics, performance, and reliability.
- Own SDK features end-to-end: from API design and architecture, through implementation and testing, to release, versioning, and developer documentation.

What you'll be doing
- Act as a senior individual contributor on the iOS SDK, owning features or subsystems end-to-end from design through implementation and maintenance.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of the iOS SDK architecture within established platform direction and guardrails.
- Implement reliable, performant iOS SDK components with strong attention to threading, lifecycle, and main-thread safety.
- Identify and fix production crashes, performance issues, and regressions, and contribute to improving overall SDK stability.
- Proactively improve existing code, abstractions, and development practices to enhance maintainability and reliability.
- Exercise sound technical judgment in balancing correctness, performance, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate closely with Android engineers, backend teams, product managers, and QA to ensure consistent SDK behavior and safe integrations.
- Participate in design and code reviews, providing thoughtful feedback and raising engineering quality across the team.
What we're looking for
- 6+ years of professional iOS development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Swift
- Experience developing iOS SDKs.
- Familiarity with Ads SDKs, monetization platforms, or other performance-sensitive mobile systems.
- Familiarity with cross-platform SDK alignment and shared contracts between iOS and Android.
- Experience with SDK observability, diagnostics, and release processes.
- Knowledge of mobile security and privacy best practices.
- Experience operating in large, mature codebases with a focus on stability and backwards compatibility.

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior iOS SDK Engineer to join our Mobile Observability team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our open-source Swift SDK across Apple platforms (iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and macOS).
This is a hands-on, SDK-first role focused on building high-performance instrumentation libraries embedded in customer applications. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to the platform, solving difficult edge cases, and designing APIs that other developers rely on.
You’ll work on performance monitoring, telemetry capture, hang detection and crash reporting, all designed for minimal overhead and maximum reliability. You’ll collaborate across platform teams and contribute to evolving observability standards such as OpenTelemetry.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain a modular Swift SDK used by developers across Apple platforms
- Work on crash reporting, hang detection, performance monitoring, and telemetry instrumentation
- Build reliable mechanisms for offline storage, batching, retries, and data delivery under mobile runtime constraints
- Contribute to SDK architecture, API ergonomics, and backward compatibility
- Design and evolve APIs with a focus on stability, clarity, and long-term compatibility
- Debug complex issues across devices, OS versions, and app environments, including threading, memory, and lifecycle challenges
- Develop and maintain capture services for networking, user interactions, and system events, leveraging frameworks such as MetricKit
- Optimize startup performance, binary size footprint, memory usage, and thread safety
- Coordinate with cross-platform SDK teams (React Native, Flutter, Unity) to ensure native SDK changes do not introduce downstream breaking issues
- Collaborate on OpenTelemetry alignment and upstream contributions
- Partner with Product and Customer Success to incorporate developer feedback
Basic Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Swift, including async/await, structured concurrency, and protocol-oriented design
- Experience building or maintaining SDKs, frameworks, or developer-facing libraries
- Deep understanding of Apple platform runtime constraints: memory, threading, lifecycle, startup performance
- Experience debugging issues in production mobile environments
- Familiarity with API design, versioning, and SDK evolution
- Understanding of binary compatibility and ABI stability
- Strong advocate for testing, reliability, and code quality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using Git and modern CI/CD workflows
- Openness to AI-augmented engineering workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Objective-C interoperability, runtime behavior, or method swizzling
- Experience with Swift macros or Swift Syntax
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry or observability concepts (traces, spans, logs)

The Production Services Technician (PST) role is a vital cornerstone of the facility, responsible for securing, manipulating, and managing production data throughout all stages of the production life cycle. PSTs collaborate with multiple departments to refine workflows, establish procedure guidelines, and ensure operational efficiency. Their work is critical to the success of every show, directly impacting all departments. PSTs are vital to the filmmaking process and essential to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the pipeline.
PSTs are not just responsible for managing tasks like cue management, backups, and data transfer, but also building, maintaining, and optimizing the tools and pipelines that drive these processes. By developing and modifying python tools and scripts throughout the course of a show, PSTs ensure that these tasks become seamless and efficient, even during high-pressure crunch times. The true value of a PST lies in their ability to automate and streamline workflows, making complex tasks effortless, preventing bottlenecks, and ensuring that production remains uninterrupted and efficient, no matter the scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Pipeline Optimization and Tool Development: Leverage software engineering to optimize critical tools and pipelines for tasks such as render farm management, media manipulation, reviews, client/vendor ingest, and deliveries, automating processes to ensure seamless workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and maintain production efficiency, even during high-pressure crunch times.

Data Management: Oversee all production-related data, ensuring integrity, accessibility, and compliance with facility standards, including managing backups, retrievals, show media final archiving, and both online and offline storage.

Render and Process Monitoring: Monitor and prioritize rendering queues, troubleshoot issues, optimize use of render farm resources, and escalate any concerns to artists, production, systems or software teams to maintain smooth operations.

Media Handling: Coding automation that optimizes efficiency and reduces bottlenecks while preparing media for artist use, 3rd party vendor i/o, daily & critical production reviews, and client review & delivery. Following established guidelines based on both internal and show-specific standards to maintain accurate data locations, file types, naming standards, resolution/colorspace specifications, audio/video codecs, and security allowances.

Ingest/Deliveries: Ingest and deliver high-priority media from vendors and clients, ensuring it conforms to facility standards, is transferred between locations following security & firewall policies all while automating processes to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.

Technical Support and Communication: Serve as a key liaison between production, digital artists, and support teams, providing technical expertise that ensures seamless integration and smooth workflows, while effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical team members.

Issue Management: Submit prompt and detailed information through support channels, clearly communicating issues and potential solutions to Color Scientists, Resources, Production, Systems, and Software teams, while monitoring critical servers & networks to minimize workflow disruptions and ensure swift resolution.

Documentation and Testing: Test and document workflows, tools, and processes across I/O pipelines, command-line utilities, queuing plugins, directory and file structure management, proprietary software, and script-driven automation to ensure seamless and efficient production operations.

Coverage Support: Providing support across all phases of a project often requires flexibility with shift schedules, including early morning or late afternoon starts, as well as evening & weekend overtime during critical phases of a show to ensure seamless production continuity.

However, at Imageworks, these critical functions are handled by the Production Services Technicians (PSTs), making the role incredibly valuable and versatile. PSTs gain deep expertise across a broad range of workflows, directly impacting multiple stages of the facility pipeline. This unique structure not only enhances the PST's technical knowledge but also provides high visibility and influence across all aspects of production, from render management to data handling and media processing.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $24.04 to $33.05/hr. Benefits are per company policy: which include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, standard increases as applicable.
