What You Will Do
As our Senior Security Engineer - Detection and Response, you will be working alongside an existing team of experienced security engineers and partnering closely with technologists across the company to help build the future of digital health security and protect our patients! We serve our patients from end to end, and security works the same way, all the way from the deepest infrastructure to the patient experience, we want our patients to be safer by being with WW.

- Build and mature a detection and response program
- Detect and respond to security incidents and participate in an incident on-call rotation
- Develop innovative ways to detect security incidents.
- Design and build the security for the future of our infrastructure.
- Partner with the infrastructure team, engineering team, compliance team and within security teams to maintain and further improve our cloud security posture.
- Create solutions and processes to identify, resolve and mitigate security vulnerabilities and risks.
- Research threats and attack vectors that impact WW applications and infrastructure.
- Devise and bolster defense-in-depth through secure-by-default frameworks, architectures and processes.
- Mentor and share security standards and processes with all parts of the organization.
Who you are
- Expertise responding to complex incidents across endpoint, network, and cloud.
- Capable of understanding an unfamiliar system enough to successfully respond to an incident involving the system.
- Expertise in detection engineering.
- Experience with SIEM, EDR, and CSPM tools.
- Deep understanding of the threat landscape.
- Experience with assessing risks.
- Experience in cloud security, especially for AWS, anything to do with IAM, secure configuration of services, AWS native security services like AWS Cloudtrail, SCP’s, AWS Org, Config etc.
- Ability to understand the whole solution, not just the technology.
- Focus on the end to end lifecycle of solving a problem and solutioning for it and not just implementing a security technology. Have a well-rounded view for problem solving.
- Deep care for the patient and your fellow employees experience as you surpass security challenges.
- Hunger to drive decision making, collaboration and to have deeper opinions on security design.
- You can review different design choices and can understand/discuss pros and cons for each.
- Ability to code to automate tedious tasks.

What you will Do
We are seeking a seasoned Senior / Staff Data Engineer to drive scale, performance, and actionability within our data ecosystem. You will strengthen and scale our Python and Snowflake-based infrastructure, building the core capabilities required to support dynamic analytics and our transition toward more automated, self-service data workflows.
We need an engineer who can adapt to a dynamic product environment, who can ask the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’ to ensure we are building the right solutions. For candidates at the Staff level, we expect a proven track record of setting technical roadmaps and serving as a multiplier for the engineering and analytics teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Enablement: Support the analytics layer by developing core Looker views and building out our agentic AI infrastructure to derive automated self-service capabilities and reduce reporting bottlenecks.
- Pipeline Architecture: Design, build, and scale ELT pipelines that are resilient, efficient, and modular.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Product, and Analytics to ensure our data models solve the right problems.
- Data Modeling: Build and maintain analytics schemas (including Star Schemas) that abstract complex logic into user-friendly datasets.
- End-to-End Ownership: Lead projects from inception to production, taking accountability for data integrity and the trustworthiness of the platform.
- Operational Excellence: Monitor production health using monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog, Monte Carlo) ensuring our data ecosystem remains robust and reliable.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a technical lead, conduct code reviews, define engineering culture, and champion best practices.
Who you are
- Experience: 5+ years in data engineering, with at least 2+ years focused on distributed, large-scale cloud data warehouses.
- Snowflake Expertise: Proven experience with Snowflake performance optimization and cost-governance. Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex/MCP is a plus.
- Technical Mastery:
- Advanced Software Engineering (Python): Deep proficiency in Python, with a focus on writing modular, reusable, and testable code (unit/integration tests) for complex data processing.
- Data Modeling & SQL Mastery: Expert-level SQL and a sophisticated understanding of data warehousing methodologies to build performant, scalable analytics layers.
- Infrastructure & Automation: Practical experience with modern CI/CD frameworks (e.g., GitHub Actions, Argo CD) to drive engineering velocity and platform stability.
- Workflow Orchestration: Expertise in architecting and scaling orchestration-as-code workflows (e.g., Prefect or Airflow) to manage complex dependencies and ensure pipeline resilience.
- Observability & Reliability: Deep proficiency in deploying monitoring and alerting frameworks (e.g., Datadog) to maximize system uptime while mitigating alert fatigue.
- Operational Maturity: Experience managing business-critical production pipelines with a focus on uptime, data quality, and defining SLAs.
- Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

What you will do
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be a key driver in building and scaling the systems that power the WeightWatchers member experience. You will own the technical design and implementation of critical backend services - ranging from member identity and food databases to personalization and tracking tools. What You’ll Do
As a critical member of the Mobile Product Engineering team, you will:
- Build and evolve key native features of the WeightWatchers iOS app that support members in their health journeys: food tracking, activity logging, weight trends, and our new AI-driven health insights.
- Deliver premium UI/UX using modern Apple frameworks to ensure the app feels fast, fluid, and intuitive.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and Behavioral Science teams to deliver features that support daily habit formation and medical weight-loss journeys (including our GLP-1 Med+ initiatives).
- Own the implementation of upcoming flagship initiatives, including Lock Screen Widgets, Live Activities, and health data integrations.
- Shape the architectural decisions and technical standards for our iOS application, ensuring a robust, modular, and testable codebase.
- Operate with high autonomy and influence: proactively question assumptions, bring new ideas, and champion product quality and performance.
Who You Are
- Native iOS Expert: Deep experience in iOS development with Swift, with a solid grasp of SwiftUI, Combine (or Swift Concurrency), and MVVM/Clean Architecture.
- Product-Minded Engineer: A passion for mobile product engineering—especially around improving member experience, usability, and long-term engagement.
- Apple Ecosystem Enthusiast: Someone who keeps up with the latest WWDC updates and understands how to leverage the latest iOS capabilities to delight users.
- Collaborative Partner: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional stakeholders, capable of explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical partners.
- Bonus: Experience working with HealthKit or behavior-change-driven apps.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in professional iOS development.
- Expertise in Swift and modern Apple frameworks (SwiftUI, Core Data, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of the iOS SDK, app lifecycle, and memory management.
- Familiarity with native tooling, including XCTest for unit/UI testing, CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane/GitHub Actions), and feature flagging.
Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior engineers while articulating technical decisions.
Base salary may vary depending on, but not limited to: skills, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and annual bonus program.
