About Paloma
In 2024, our founders, Mark and Darshak, were shocked to find that children needing an NHS autism or ADHD assessment were waiting 4-10 years for these assessments. Delayed assessments result in children being more likely to develop mental health conditions and fall behind in education. Furthermore, the much-needed pre/post-assessment support (outside of ADHD medications) is typically not funded by the NHS.
These long waits have built up due to increased recognition and understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and a lack of investment and innovation within the NHS to meet the growing demand.
Mark and Darshak, with their 25 years of combined NHS experience, including building services that have treated over 1,000,000 patients in obesity & ophthalmology, founded Paloma to change this. Our mission is to make NHS autism and ADHD assessments and care accessible within 4 weeks of a GP referral, and, in turn, help every child achieve their potential.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a commercially astute and data-driven Finance & BI Lead to partner with our co-founders (our CEO and Exec Chair) and lead Paloma’s Finance & BI function through our current rapid growth.
You will build a first-principles financial understanding of our organisation to support our functional leaders in achieving their goals and budgets, and partner with our co-founders to create those budgets and report to our Board and investors.
You will lead our BI team, ensuring robust internal and external reporting to our NHS partners.
You will line manage a team of three: a Central Operations Associate, a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, and a BI Associate, and take on management of our outsourced accountant.

This is a high-ownership role reporting directly to the CEO. You'll lead a small finance and ops team with HR support, and be the financial partner to the founding team on the decisions that matter most — from managing cash and driving forecast accuracy to building the data room for our next raise.

Own all financial reporting, management accounts, P&L, and runway analysis. Active cash flow and treasury management across UK and US. Board-level financial reporting, investor updates, and commercial sign-off on deals - payment terms, pricing, and upfront structures.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Own and evolve the financial model as the business grows. Revenue forecasting and pipeline-to-budget tracking across agency, IP, and marketplace. Bull and bear scenario modelling as we approach Series A. Regular retro and modelling cadence - actuals vs. forecast, with clear conclusions.
Pricing & Rate Cards
Own rate cards across staff and freelance. Pricing strategy in partnership with GTM and production leads.
Compliance & Payroll

Role Summary and Impact
This role sits within the Controllership pillar of the WPP Media UK Finance team primarily supporting the Wavemaker operating unit. The role has full responsibility of the controllership and reporting of revenue for the Wavemaker unit and leads a team of 3.
The Role Objective
The role has full ownership of revenue reporting in an accurate and timely manner to both WPP Media management and WPP Media EMEA. This requires working closely with the Commercial and FP&A teams to understand client revenue and providing insightful analysis to support those teams. This role assumes full responsibility of the P&L and balance sheet for all revenue related items, for delivering on all audit and SOX requirements and providing detailed variance analysis and exception reporting. To be successful in this role, engagement with various parts of the business is required, often at different levels of seniority as well as being fully immersed in the objectives and culture of the Agency team(s) that you and your direct team work alongside to support
