Title: Lead Software Development Engineer

The product engineering team drives the realization of practical AI solutions for the contact centre environment. Our existing Studio product stack is built on PHP/Laravel, Python and Vue.js technology deployed in private and public clouds. We leverage the latest cloud AI services such as Azure OpenAI, Google AI APIs, IBM Watson and Amazon Lex.

The role of Senior Software Engineer is for the Studio Innovations team, which modernizes existing Studio product. This team keeps our production systems stable, secure, and performing at their best, handling everything from enhancement of the existing studio product to modernize it into Java microservices on the GCP cloud. 

This position is based out of one of the offices of our affiliate Acqueon Technologies in India and will adopt the hybrid work arrangements of that location.  

Role purpose  

The role of a Senior Software Engineer in the R&D AI Automation Team is to design, develop, and maintain the software solution (Studio) with drag-drop flow builder and execution engine that integrates multiple channels like voice, SMS, and chatbot with the Five9 contact centre voice solution. This role would be a key developer role to modernize and re-architect the existing Studio product to use Java microservices on GCP. The Senior engineer's responsibilities include software design and development, testing and documentation across our backend, front-end and interaction management platforms to deliver end-to-end features, work with product owners and designers to expand the feature set and create high-quality user interfaces, take operational responsibility for the performance and quality of services owned by your team, potentially including taking part in an on-call rotation, deep dive into cutting edge technologies and work with the products team to transfer ideas into products.

About the role

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Planning & Onboarding

• Own the end-to-end campaign setup process — from brief intake and media planning to creative specifications, trafficking, and go-live
• Translate advertiser KPIs (ROAS, CPL, CTR, incremental lift) into campaign structures suited for Razorpay's Transaction Ads inventory and Audience Intelligence activations on Meta and Google

The Role -

The Senior Associate, Magic Checkout Sales exists to drive the adoption and revenue growth of Razorpay’s 1-click checkout solution among Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands and e-commerce merchants. This role solves the critical business problem of reducing cart abandonment, optimising Return to Origin (RTO) rates, and enhancing the overall shopper experience for our merchants. Positioned as a high-performing individual contributor within the Strategic Product Sales team, you will own the end-to-end sales lifecycle and act as a consultative partner, aligning Razorpay’s checkout innovations with the merchant's growth and conversion goals.

About the team

We are experts in data, working to make it cost-effective, understandable, and trustworthy. We build pipelines processing billions of events a day and are stewards of canonical data warehouses and datasets delivering products for Stripe Users while embedding with teams to build their data products.  We are experts in using the Stripe Data Platform and to scale we lead the data culture and data education to enable product teams to own their data. We invest in [AI] Data Ops to scale incident handling and serve as an escalation path for data incidents to minimize their impact. The Data Engineering Solutions team will work closely with product teams delivering trustworthy data / backend code / and innovative (AI) tools/platforms/services for data.

What you’ll do

We're looking for a person who could drive the Data Engineering Solutions Team in solving high-impact, cutting-edge data problems. The ideal candidate will be someone that has built data pipelines for large scale volume, is deeply knowledgeable of Data Engineering tools including Airflow/Spark/Kafka/Flink, is empathetic, excels at building strong relationships, and collaborates effectively with other Stripe teams to understand their use cases and unlock new capabilities.

You will:

• Lead the technical outcomes for a team of ambitious, talented engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure their success.
• Partner with our recruiting team to attract and hire top talent.
• Deliver cutting-edge data pipelines that scale to users' needs, focusing on reliability and efficiency.
• Develop strong subject matter expertise and manage the SLAs of data pipelines and full stack web applications that support critical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product managers and peers across the company to create/improve canonical datasets and data warehouses, use golden paths, and ensure Stripes and customers are using trustworthy data.
• Leverage AI/LLM and Agents at scale to produce and analyze high-quality data on ambiguous problems

Minimum requirements

We’re looking for someone who has: 

• 10+ Years of engineering experience with 5+ Years of hands-on experience building+operating data systems/pipelines, datasets/data warehouses, infrastructure, and leading small teams to deliver exceptional solutions.
• A strong engineering background and passion for data.
• Prior experience with writing and debugging data pipelines using a distributed data framework (Spark / Hadoop / Trino / etc)
• An inquisitive nature in diving into data inconsistencies to pinpoint issues, and resolve deep rooted data quality issues
• Knowledge of a backend development language (such as Scala, Java, or Go) and strong SQL experience
• Extreme customer focus, with a commitment to partnering with Product Managers, leaders, and other Stripe engineers to understand their use cases.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to think rigorously, communicate clearly, and make or coordinate difficult decisions and trade-offs.
• Thrive with high autonomy and responsibility in an ambiguous environment.
• Ability to foster and work in a healthy, inclusive, challenging, and supportive work environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Expertise in Iceberg, Kafka, Change Data Capture, Flink, Spark, Airflow, Hive Metastore, Pinot, Trino, AWS Cloud, and influencing open-source contributions is a plus.
• Experience creating and maintaining Data Marts / Data Warehouses to power business reporting needs
• Experience working with Product or Go-To-Market (GTM - Sales/Marketing) teams
• Genuine enjoyment of innovation and a deep interest in understanding how things work, with the ability to question and direct architectural decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for various audiences, including leadership, users, and company-wide.

Revenue and Finance Automation- Revenue and Finance Automation (RFA) suite gives businesses power over the entire life cycle of their cash flow. By coordinating billing, tax, reporting, and data services in one modern stack, Stripe’s revenue and finance automation suite eliminates the inefficiencies of legacy finance tools and supports revenue growth.

What you’ll do

We are seeking an experienced technical leader to join our team to shape and build a suite of products that will let our users model and operate their business more efficiently. In this role, you will work closely with engineering managers, senior engineers, and cross-functional partners to design the technical architecture of the product to enable scale, interoperability and an amazing user experience. You will help grow the team in India to become a strong leader in delivering the Revenue and Finance Automation vision. What you’ll do

As a National Account Executive, Enterprise, you are the architect of Stripe’s most strategic partnerships in India. You won't just sell a product; you will design the financial backbone for India's AI-native unicorns. You will own the full lifecycle—from identifying the next global-first breakout stars to navigating complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations with C-suite executives. Your mission is to move Stripe from a 'payment provider' to an 'essential growth engine' for Indian businesses scaling globally.

Your mission: help AI-native and global-first Indian merchants scale internationally by positioning Stripe as their essential payments and financial infrastructure partner. You’ll work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to craft tailored solutions, lead high-stakes commercial negotiations, and execute long-term sales strategies that cement Stripe’s presence in the Indian market.

Responsibilities

• Work with both new and existing Stripe customers to develop and execute long-term sales strategies to expand Stripe’s revenue
• Own the full sales cycle, from business case development, to deal structuring and negotiating, to close
• Own a named account list and develop account plans for winning and expanding business with high growth technology companies
• Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities

• 8+ years of software sales experience selling to Enterprise and Digital Natives in the India market, preferably at a technology company, with a track record of top performance.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil / Hindi if needed.
• Ability to understand the Stripe API and build great relationships with highly technical customers.
• Ability to understand complex requirements and create value through solution selling.
• Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities including comfort with basic modeling.
• Experience building strong account relationships with Enterprises originating in India, but building for the world.
