About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer on our Sports AI team to help build the next generation of real-time AI systems powering sports analysis and insights.
These systems transform live sports broadcasts (incorporating signals from video, crowd noise, audio commentary, and text) into a structured understanding of game context and auto-generated insights. The outputs from these systems power a range of products including automated highlight clipping, augmented broadcasts, semi-automatic play-by-play collection, and natural-language insight generation. For example, these systems can detect a goal, attribute it to the correct player, and localize where it occurred on the pitch within seconds by combining crowd noise spikes, commentary signals, and video cues.
This role sits at the intersection of streaming and distributed systems, AI, and product engineering. You’ll build and operate real-time pipelines that process noisy, asynchronous inputs under tight latency constraints. These systems combine traditional streaming and data processing techniques with modern multimodal AI models to produce reliable outputs in production.
You’ll work on challenges like aligning signals across multiple sources, handling uncertainty and inconsistency in model outputs, and designing systems that degrade gracefully in real-world conditions. We are early in building these capabilities, so the role involves working through ambiguity, experimenting with different approaches, and building new systems from first principles where established patterns don’t yet exist.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Principal Technical Director, AI-Enabled Spectrum Dominance to serve as the senior technical leader for our advanced RF systems, software, algorithms, and agentic AI portfolio as applied to space-based and terrestrial electromagnetic warfare and sensing. In this pivotal role, you will drive the technical vision for the future of spectrum dominance while simultaneously leading the application of Voyager’s Agentic Computational Engineering (ACE) platform to RF hardware systems and digital signal processing (DSP) development.
This role uniquely combines deep RF domain expertise with leadership over AI-driven hardware design and simulation workflows. You will oversee how agentic AI systems are deployed to compress RF hardware development cycles—from antenna design and transceiver architecture to DSP algorithm development and system-level integration—accelerating the path from concept to deployable, mission-critical capability for the warfighter.
The right person has deep familiarity with hardware, software, and algorithms across a variety of RF functions, including communications, electronic warfare (EW), radar, and sensing, with particular emphasis on space-based active and passive RF systems. You must be as comfortable defining and executing complex research and development programs as you are productizing outcomes into monetizable commercial motions. You must also have the vision and technical fluency to direct how multi-agent AI platforms transform traditional RF engineering workflows.
You will be joining the Advanced Technology Development team, a specialized unit within our Strategic Growth and Technology Organization. This team is responsible for defining and developing Voyager’s future technologies, with a relentless focus on high-impact, high-ROI technology and product R&D. You will work at the intersection of Voyager’s Spectrum Dominance portfolio and the Agentic Computational Engineering (ACE) team—the group building Voyager’s Generative Engine, the AI-native platform that compresses complex hardware development cycles from years to days.

This team is responsible for defining and developing Voyager's future technologies, with a relentless focus on high-impact, high-ROI technology and product research and development. Apply to Voyager Technologies, Inc.AE Studio is an LA-based company focused on increasing human agency by making the AGI future go well. We believe alignment is solvable, people just haven’t tried hard enough. For us, that means focusing on neglected ideas that could unlock major breakthroughs.
We’ve spent over a decade helping clients, from startups to companies like Samsung, Walmart, Berkshire Hathaway, and Goodfire, solve complex technical problems and bring ambitious products to life. We apply the same structures to research. Instead of a client, we partner with visionary researchers exploring neglected alignment ideas. We’re a full-stack R&D group combining engineering, science, and product capability. This puts us in a unique position to move quickly and make real progress on one of the most important problems of our time.
We're fully bootstrapped. We don’t rely on venture capital or private equity. Profits from our client work go directly into internal Skunkworks projects, technical research, and policy engagement. This gives us the freedom to pursue high-risk, high-upside ideas that typical funding models neglect. We can commit to long-term bets without being constrained by short grant cycles or investor timelines.
Our alignment efforts include in-house work, alignment clients like Goodfire AI, and collaborations with Redwood Research and researchers at Anthropic and DeepMind. In the past, we also led pioneering research in brain-computer interfaces, and we continue to expand our scope as the stakes rise.
If you care about actually solving alignment and want to build, we want to talk to you!
We're hiring Product Leads. Strategic, AI-fluent technical operators who own delivery for high-stakes projects from end to end and become trusted advisors to senior client stakeholders along the way. This includes client engagements, internal ventures, product-market fit exploration, and enterprise execution.
This is a hybrid role: part strategic advisor, part technical PM, part AI architect, part founder-in-training. You'll sit at the table with senior leadership, run complex AI projects across generative AI, automation, agent orchestration, and custom software, build real products, and potentially spin one off. AE supports startup spinouts, so you'll have the opportunity to become CEO or CTO of a venture, either one we already have in the works or one you help create.
Salary range is from $120K to $220K per year for people based in California.
Not in the range? That's fine, you can still apply, and our team may fit you in a more senior position that we're not actively hiring right now, but we are growing fast and may have other openings soon.
EQUITY
Working at AE means receiving equity in our client projects and in Skunkworks ventures. The equity is priced at $0 when granted for tax reasons, but AE invests millions into these projects. Equity comes from reduced margins on client work and internal funding. You get a real stake in the things you help build.
The longer you stay, the more value you create and the more equity you receive. If you leave on good terms, you can retain 20% of your equity by staying engaged. If you spin out a Skunkworks venture, you retain 100%.

And just like in our games, we’re better when we work together. Our goal is to create collaborative teams where you are empowered to bring your unique perspective everyday. If that sounds like the kind of place you want to work, we’re looking forward to your application.

In the role of Senior Applied Scientist for Recommendation and Personalization, you will report to the Director of Data Science and Machine Learning in our Center for Data and Insights. You will own the research and applied science agenda for personalization, from problem framing and data exploration through model development, evaluation, experimentation, and iteration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strong scientific rigor with product thinking to improve user discovery, engagement, retention, and long-term fan value.
You will work across multiple user touchpoints, including app and web interfaces, lifecycle and promotional email campaigns, and flywheels that connect video, ecommerce, manga, and adjacent experiences. You will help define what great personalization looks like at Crunchyroll, build the evidence to prove impact, and collaborate with engineering partners to ensure the resulting solutions can be productionized effectively.
This position is based in our Los Angeles office, but we will consider our San Francisco office as a secondary location. We work a hybrid schedule, in-office three days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
We get excited about candidates, like you, because you have:
Experience: You bring 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning, recommendation systems, search/ranking, experimentation, or a closely related area, with a track record of driving measurable product impact.
Scientific Depth: You have strong foundations in machine learning, statistics, experimental design, and causal thinking, and you know how to choose the right level of modeling complexity for the problem at hand.
Recommendation Expertise: You have hands-on experience with at least some of the following: collaborative filtering, retrieval and ranking systems, representation learning, sequence / generative models, bandits, graph methods, or personalization for consumer products.
Technical Skills: You are highly proficient in Python and comfortable working with common ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, or similar tooling. Experience working with SQL, distributed data processing, and cloud-based ML workflows is strongly preferred.
Experimentation Mindset: You know how to design offline and online evaluations, reason carefully about metrics, and connect experimental findings to user and business outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: You have experience partnering effectively with engineers, product managers, analysts, marketers, and business stakeholders to move from idea to execution.
Communication Skills: You can explain sophisticated modeling decisions and ambiguous findings in a clear, decision-oriented way to diverse audiences.
Educational Background: You hold an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline, or you bring equivalent applied industry experience.
Our centralized DS/ML team serves stakeholders across Finance, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Creatives, and Content Operations with data-driven and ML/AI-powered solutions. Within that broader organization, the Personalization and Recommendation group is building the next generation capabilities to power tailored fan experiences across every major user interface and lifecycle touchpoint. Today, the team includes engineers focused on operationalizing our recommendation platform with strong engineering excellence. This Applied Scientist role complements that foundation by bringing deeper scientific ownership to modeling strategy, evaluation, and experimentation, while partnering closely with an additional MLE hire to accelerate production impact.
In addition to getting to work with fun, passionate and inspired colleagues, you will also enjoy the following benefits and perks:

Research Scientists at Riot combine deep technical expertise across machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), experimental design, and systems engineering to invent new ways players experience games. As a Staff Research Scientist, you push the boundaries of what’s possible and raise the bar for research quality and its translation into extraordinary gameplay.
The Technology Research team performs applied research to accelerate the pace of building amazing player experiences at Riot Games. As a Staff Research Scientist, you will research and develop world models—learned representations that understand, predict, and simulate game environments. Rather than building general-purpose large language models, you will focus on models that capture the structure and dynamics of Riot's games: how state evolves, how players behave, and how design changes ripple through complex systems. Your work will power scalable simulation for agent training, automated game balancing, synthetic data generation, and new forms of language-conditioned game interaction. You will stay deeply hands-on, turning advances in predictive simulation, latent state representations, and environment modeling into concrete prototypes that game teams can evaluate and build on. You will work closely with game teams to ground your research in real gameplay needs and partner across Technology Research to connect world models with game AI and NLP efforts.
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!
Riot focuses on work/life balance, shown by our open paid time off policy and other perks such as flexible work schedules. We offer medical, dental, and life insurance, parental leave for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children, and a 401k with company match. Check out our benefits pages for more information.
At Riot Games, we put players first. That mission drives every decision in our quest to create games and experiences that make it better to be a player. Whether you’re working directly on a new player-facing experience or you’re supporting the company as a whole, everyone at Riot is part of our mission. And just like in our games, we’re better when we work together. Our goal is to create collaborative teams where you are empowered to bring your unique perspective everyday. If that sounds like the kind of place you want to work, we’re looking forward to your application.
It’s our policy to provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and members of Riot Games, Inc. Riot Games makes reasonable accommodations for handicapped and disabled Rioters and does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, handicap, veteran status, marital status, criminal history, or any other category protected by applicable federal and state law. Per the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance, the following core duties may create a basis for disqualifying candidates with relevant criminal histories:
These duties are directly related to essential operations, safety, trust, and compliance obligations within our organization. Please note that job duties may evolve based on business needs and additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to maintain operational efficiency and security.

At HeyGen, our mission is to make visual storytelling accessible to all. Over the last decade, visual content has become the preferred method of information creation, consumption, and retention. But the ability to create such content, in particular videos, continues to be costly and challenging to scale. Our ambition is to build technology that equips more people with the power to reach, captivate, and inspire audiences.
Learn more at www.heygen.com. Visit our Mission and Culture doc here.
HeyGen is building the AI video platform that Fortune 500 enterprises run their content operations on. Our strategic customers are not looking for another SaaS tool. They want production AI systems that plug into their LMS, their CRM, their HR stack, and their brand controls, and that their employees and end-users actually use every day. Closing the gap between what our APIs can do and what each enterprise needs them to do is the job.
We're hiring our first Forward Deployed Engineers to own that gap.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer on Strategic Accounts, you'll embed with our most technically complex enterprise customers and ship production AI video systems alongside their engineering teams. You'll own the last mile of delivery: discovery, technical scoping, architecture, build, rollout, and the eval-driven feedback loop back into HeyGen's product and model roadmap.
You'll operate autonomously, partner directly with customer engineering leaders and VPs, and represent HeyGen at the technical frontier. Typical questions you'll help answer look like:
You'll work side by side with our Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams. Your field insights will directly influence what HeyGen ships next.
San Francisco or Los Angeles. Hybrid. Expect 25–40% travel to customer sites.
In your first year, we'll measure your impact on time to production for strategic accounts, expansion revenue driven by the accounts you own, the number of reusable patterns you contribute back to the platform, and the quality of the eval and feedback signal you send into our product organization.
If you don't check every box above but you're excited about building the forward-deployed function at an AI-first company, please apply. We care more about trajectory and taste than a clean line-by-line match.
$175,000 – $225,000 annual base salary
Total compensation includes cash compensation, equity, and benefits.
Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. HeyGen considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal equity, as well as location, market and business considerations when extending an offer. As part of our total rewards package, HeyGen offers comprehensive benefits including a 401k plan, health benefits, generous PTO, a parental leave program and emotional health resources.
HeyGen is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
Join us at HeyGen and be part of a team that's making visual storytelling accessible to all!

Riot leverages Technical Product Managers (TPMs) in situations where deep technical expertise will meaningfully improve product outcomes. As a Principal TPM focused on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications, you will not be bound to a single feature team. Instead, you will act as a strategic force multiplier, assessing Valorant’s entire product landscape to identify where Machine Learning and Generative AI can fundamentally transform how we make games and how players experience them.
As a Principal Technical Product Manager on Valorant Studio Data, you will serve as a key lieutenant to leadership across the game, identifying product opportunities that will empower fellow Ritoters or surprise and delight players. You will move fluidly between high-level strategy and deep tactical execution, ensuring that when we commit to an initiative, we deliver tangible value to our players and Rioters.
