The Role

As a Staff Software Engineer for Developer Tools, you will be responsible for delivering the next generation of quantum compiler tools and features, with the focus of integration into quantum software applications, overall developer experience, documentation and developer tooling. Your work will involve setting high-level technical standards, mentoring senior engineers and scientists, and providing deep expertise to solve the most challenging problems in quantum compilation, optimization, and hardware interfaces. You will drive the adoption and enhancement of critical, user-facing compiler infrastructure, ensuring our tools are aligned with cutting-edge quantum research (e.g., advanced error mitigation, novel compiler optimization techniques). You will work across organizational boundaries, Compiler, QEC, Applications, and Engineering, to support scientific breakthroughs and define the technical strategy for packaging, documentation, and release processes for major components of IonQ’s developer tooling ecosystem.

The Developer Tools team builds the critical software layer for IonQ’s quantum software tools. In this Staff role, you will be a key driver in shaping the future of this ecosystem, and bridging the gap between critical parts of our engineering and computing organizations. Your impact will be measured by the successful delivery of critical, cross-functional projects and the elevation of technical execution across the entire team.

As a Staff Software Engineer, your influence extends beyond a single project; you define the technical bedrock upon which IonQ's developer ecosystem is built. The compiler is the critical interface where quantum algorithms are realized on hardware, and your architectural decisions will dictate the performance ceiling and accessibility of our systems. You will lead the charge in making advanced quantum techniques, from sophisticated hardware-aware compilation to state-of-the-art error mitigation, seamlessly available to every developer. Responsibilities

• Define the technical strategy and roadmap for major components of the compiler toolchain, optimization suite, and developer interfaces, ensuring long-term maintainability and performance.
• Serve as the primary architect and technical lead for large, complex engineering projects spanning multiple teams (e.g., integrating a new compilation paradigm or full-stack error mitigation strategy).
• Drive the design and implementation of highly scalable and robust interfaces for hardware-specific compilation features, including advanced pulse-level control and system diagnostics.
• Establish best practices and mentor engineers on software architecture, design patterns, testing methodologies, and maintainership.
• Collaborate closely with research teams to evaluate, prototype, and productize novel quantum algorithms and compilation techniques, bridging the gap between research and production.
• Oversee the comprehensive documentation, examples, tutorials, and packaging strategy for all compiler-related developer tools to ensure ease of adoption and a world-class user experience.
• Act as a key technical resource for the Applications Engineering team, providing deep expertise to employ compilation techniques to solve customer-specific challenges and gather requirements for new features.
• Champion continuous improvement in software engineering processes, automated testing, CI/CD, and validation standards across the Developer Tools organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a significant portion spent in a technical leadership or architectural role.
• Deep expertise in Python and experience designing and maintaining large-scale, performance-critical software systems.
• Expert-level understanding of quantum computing principles, quantum circuits, optimization techniques, and compiler fundamentals.
• Proven track record of driving complex, cross-functional engineering projects from concept to production delivery.
• Experience in system-level architecture and design, translating high-level requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications and implementation plans.
• A history of mentorship and elevating the technical capabilities of a multi-level engineering team.
• Familiarity with Agentic AI coding tools and techniques, and experience integrating them into modern software development workflows.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of authoring impactful technical papers, specifications, and external documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• An advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in Physics, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on quantum computing or compiler technologies.
• Direct experience in compiler development (classical or quantum), particularly with optimization passes, intermediate representations, or static analysis tools.
• Deep expertise in system-level programming (C++, Rust) for high-performance computing or hardware interaction.
• Significant contributions to open-source software, especially in the quantum computing ecosystem (e.g., Qiskit, Pennylane, Cirq, ucc, jeff).
• Experience with low-level hardware control, pulse-level programming, dynamic circuits, or systems programming.
• A strong background in applied quantum error correction (QEC) or advanced quantum error mitigation techniques.

The approximate base salary range for this position is $167,808 - $219,704 (USD). The total compensation package includes base, bonus, equity, and a range of benefit options found on our career site.

An overview of this role

As an Intermediate Backend Engineer on the GitLab Knowledge Graph team, you'll help build and operate a graph data service that supports GitLab Duo agents, analytics, and architecture-level features across GitLab.com, Dedicated, and Self-Managed deployments. You’ll join a small, Rust-first team that values clear ownership, thoughtful system design, and rigorous thinking about data and reliability.

The Knowledge Graph service is a Rust backend that builds a property graph from GitLab’s software development lifecycle (SDLC) and code data. It uses ClickHouse, NATS JetStream, and the Data Insights Platform. It exposes secure graph queries and MCP tools used by AI agents and product features. In this role, you’ll deliver features and improvements in well-scoped areas, learn the broader architecture, and contribute to reliability, observability, and operational readiness.

In your first year, you’ll take clear ownership of specific components or features (for example, parts of the SDLC indexing pipeline or query paths). You’ll help reduce single points of failure with better tests and runbooks, and you’ll help the team ship analytical services that are easier to maintain and evolve over time.

• Implement and iterate on backend features in the Rust-based Knowledge Graph service, including changes to the query engine, SDLC and code indexing flows, and API endpoints (including MCP endpoints) under guidance from senior and staff engineers.

We sit within the Data Engineering organization. We're a small group of senior engineers and we work closely with partners across AI (Duo Agent Platform), analytics, infrastructure and delivery, and security because our work spans many parts of the platform.

An overview of this role

As the Principal Engineer, Software Supply Chain Security, you’ll own the technical strategy that secures how software is built and delivered on GitLab’s DevSecOps platform. You’ll provide architectural leadership across multiple engineering teams. You’ll also partner closely with infrastructure and CI/CD teams to harden our pipelines, infrastructure, and access layers. Your work will shape GitLab’s enterprise security posture in the rapidly growing software supply chain security market. Our Software Supply Chain Security stage engineering teams are responsible for authentication and access within GitLab. As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll lead design for cross-cutting platform experiences–the foundational elements that touch every workflow regardless of stage. As a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer, you will...

• Own end-to-end enterprise implementations. Lead engagements from first discovery call through production deployment. Run deep discovery on customer engineering environments, define success criteria, architect agent workflows tailored to their stack, and own the outcome end-to-end. 
• Architect agent workflows with customers. Help enterprise engineering teams design agent architectures for their specific use cases: selecting triggers (Slack, Linear, GitHub Actions, webhooks, cron schedules, API calls), configuring sandboxed environments, structuring multi-step agent workflows, and designing integration-driven automation that fits into their existing development lifecycle.

About the team

The Integrations Ecosystem org is the bridge between ClickHouse and the rest of the data world. We build and maintain the connections that make ClickHouse accessible to the developers, data engineers, and analysts who rely on it in production every day. Our scope spans low-level database drivers, ingestion and CDC pipelines, data framework integrations, and BI connectivity — ensuring ClickHouse feels native in whatever stack our users already have.

What you'll do

What will you be doing: 

• Drive technical strategy and roadmap. Proactively define the architectural vision, prioritize work that unlocks major product or platform improvements, and influence product and engineering decisions.

• Mentor and grow engineering talent. Coach senior and mid-level engineers, lead design reviews, raise engineering standards, and help teammates make sound technical tradeoffs.
  
  
• Represent engineering internally and externally. Communicate technical strategy clearly to non-engineering stakeholders and represent the team in cross-team planning.

We are hiring an Engineering Manager for our Issuing team to lead Lithic’s next phase of growth.

The Issuing team is responsible for getting a card into an end user’s literal and figurative hand or wallet. We own core parts of the card and account lifecycle, including KYC/KYB flows for account holders, card issuance (physical and virtual), tokenization for digital wallets, and the data models and APIs that power these experiences. This team owns some of our most critical customer facing paths at the heart of our offering.

The systems we maintain have high standards of reliability and correctness, because they sit on the critical path for customers launching and operating card programs. The team primarily uses Python, Rust, and AWS, and interfaces with a broader service ecosystem across Lithic.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure high reliability and correctness for the Issuing surface area, including APIs and services powering core card and account lifecycle flows
• Lead delivery of new features and improvements across card issuance (physical + virtual), onboarding (KYB/KYC), and tokenization-related capabilities
• Raise the bar on operational excellence: observability, incident response, on-call readiness, and pragmatic reliability improvements
• Own initiatives from planning to launch, keeping stakeholders informed and aligned along the way

About the role 

We’re looking for a hands-on Reliability Tech Lead (IC) to own the mission of making Cerebras Inference the most reliable AI service in the world. You will drive reliability strategy and execution across our inference stack, from client SDKs and public-cloud multi-region deployments to wafer-scale systems in specialized data centers. 

In this role, you will define SLOs and incident-response frameworks, design and implement reliability mechanisms at scale, and partner across hundreds of engineers to ensure our service meets world-class reliability standards.

• Define and drive reliability strategy: establish SLOs and ensure alignment across engineering.
