As a Technical Support Specialist, your key area of responsibility will be diagnosing technical issues and providing the necessary support to resolve problems for both hardware and software-related issues within Geotab products (e.g. GO devices), the MyGeotab software platform, and outside partner products. You will need to work closely with partners, customers, sales representatives, and internal teams through various communication mediums including phone, chat, and email. To be successful in this role you will be a team-player with a very strong technical aptitude and a solid knowledge of various programming languages and big data applications. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and interpersonal relationship building skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while adapting to growing technology and market demands.
Support partners, customers, sales representatives and internal teams through various communication mediums (i.e., phone, chat and email).
Provide technical expertise on database set up, user management, rules and reporting, device errors, network communications, portal configuration and navigation, product implementation and troubleshooting the Geotab hardware and software applications.
Coordinate with internal departments on the return/exchange process for Geotab devices and accessories.
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues involving connectivity, installation and software inquiries.
Manage, develop and deliver product service training directly to resellers and customers.
Provide successful resolution to all customer complaints.
Report escalating and severe concerns/issues to management.
Preserve the confidentiality and security of customer data and information.
Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.
1 - 3 years of experience in a customer service/support capacity and troubleshooting technical issues.
Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Working knowledge of various programming languages such as SQL, Python, C#, or JavaScript, and data warehouses like Google Big Query.
Expert level Excel skills (pivot tables and reports) and technical competence in Google Suite for business.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with comfort speaking with customers via telephone, email, and chat.
Professional-level communication in French to manage regional technical inquiries.
Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7/365 operation, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

As a Media & Stakeholder Relations Manager, your key area of responsibility will be shaping Geotab's external reputation and positioning across North America. As a Senior Security Researcher, your key area of responsibility will be utilizing programming tools to test devices, configuration, and code, providing risk assessments for vulnerabilities, and reporting on the overall quality of current security standards. You will need to work closely with Geotab software developers, the broader Security team, and global strategic initiative stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will be a highly organized self-starter with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to engage with all levels of the organization. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong technical competence in security evaluation and research, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while delivering expert recommendations for process improvements.
Conduct device, cloud infrastructure or web application and code testing for all systems and applications, open source dependencies, and provide analysis and risk assessments for vulnerabilities discovered
Conducts focused information security research and makes recommendations on changes within department and company
Utilize code analysis and fuzzing tools to assess the quality and security of source code
Provide recommendations on tools to address any gaps in coverage as well as defining and implementing security technical and process improvements
Contribute to secure device configuration, infrastructure design and coding standards (involves developing secure coding training for current and future developers)
Conduct manual code reviews for all systems and code changes for a given device, system or application release, providing both a detailed risk analysis of the security posture of the code and technical programming solutions (secure coding standards) to the developers to mitigate insecure code from being implemented
Provide reporting on overall quality of device, infrastructure configuration or source code from a security perspective by project/team (includes trend analysis, defects found, defects remediated, and time to remediate)
Triages and handles/escalates security issues within area of expertise
Support Geotab global strategic initiatives
Participate in candidate interviews during hiring process
8+ years of experience with security evaluation/analysis within a technical organization, including security code reviews and risk assessments
Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field
Technical proficiency with Linux, Windows, and languages such as C, Rust, and Python
Professional certification in Information Security (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, CEH, OSCP, OSWE) is highly valued
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with comfort delivering technical training and presentations

As a part of the Site Reliability Engineering team, your key area of responsibility is to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of Geotab's core products for our customers. This role acts as a primary escalation point, diagnosing and resolving complex application issues impacting service availability and performance of multiple large scale applications that support thousands of customers globally. SRE supports production applications and infrastructure, focusing on restoring normal service operations efficiently and contributing to long-term system stability.
Act as a primary escalation point for critical production application/product issues.
Rapidly troubleshoot complex problems across the application stack, utilizing observability tools to identify root causes.
Coordinate effectively with development, infrastructure, and other technical teams during incidents to implement fixes and restore service swiftly.
Clearly communicate incident status, impact, and resolution steps to internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members to improve monitoring tools, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms for proactive detection of issues impacting Critical User Journeys (CUJs) within the application/product and computing architecture. Our complex environment encompasses monolithic applications, microservices, and a vast ecosystem of millions of hardware units.
Monitor application/product and system health proactively using a combination of tools to ensure high availability and adherence to Service Level Objectives (SLOs) / Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Identify opportunities and implement automation tools/scripts to streamline routine operational tasks, reduce manual effort (toil), and improve response times.
Conduct system tests to validate performance, reliability, and successful remediation of issues.
Recommend design and process enhancements based on operational experience to improve overall application reliability and maintainability.
Participate in post major incident reviews (PMIRs) to analyze disruptions, document findings, track corrective actions to prevent recurrence, and identify areas of improvement for incident response processes.
Contribute to building a culture of learning from incidents.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to provide timely support for critical issues outside of business hours.
3 - 5 years experience in SRE/DevOps/Tier 3.
Strong troubleshooting skills with a systematic problem-solving approach.
Extensive experience resolving critical incidents in production environments.
Strong proficiency in Linux and operational scripting (Bash, Powershell, Python).
Experience with database/dataset querying (GoogleSQL, PostgreSQL, BigData), automated configuration management (via tools like Ansible), and GitOps tools (Argo CD).
Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Apache Superset/BigQuery Visualizations).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP/Azure/AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and monitoring/alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus stack including AlertManager/Grafana).
Understanding of application environments (e.g., .NET/C#) for troubleshooting purposes.
Understanding of fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, Load Balancing) are considered assets.
Familiarity with applying AI-powered tools to enhance operational efficiency in areas such as log analysis, troubleshooting assistance, incident summarization, and automation scripting.
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Experience with incident management processes.
Experience working within a technical or engineering organization with knowledge of the high-technology industry is considered an asset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and develop well-judged decisions.
Strong team player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
Technical competence using software programs, including but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides) or equivalents
