About the role

Monks is looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our BMW & MINI team, with experience managing large-scale social media and creative projects. to work for one of the world’s most iconic automotive accounts. 

Our ideal candidate has superb communication and documentation skills, identifies gaps, develops processes, and is comfortable leading by example. Most importantly, they must have a passion for social media, a desire to continuously be up to speed on the latest trends (social, tech, culture, etc), and aspirations for greatness!

You are a social-media-savvy professional, with experience in social media asset management. You are a people person with a positive attitude and the ability to organize and influence people within & outside the organisation.

Based in Munich, this position will be part of a dedicated team embedded with our BMW & MINI account, so the client-facing experience is a must.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage client social needs ranging from content calendar creation to campaign execution, and any other type of digital project that might be thrown your way 
• Increase social engagement and facilitate the online community of the brands we work with.
• Responsible for planning and goal setting across all the Brand Channels, using Social Media Management Tool, such as Brandwatch.
• You will create, research and optimise timely and engaging content optimised for platform used
• You will develop and maintain the relevant governance mechanisms suited to the project.
• You'll not only identify and cultivate new opportunities, but you will also work with team leads from social, creative, technical and growth teams to explore and win these opportunities. Propose new ideas and concepts for social media content
• Ensure the final deliverables and outcomes are consistent with the brief timeline, client’s strategy, brand, and creative goals, as well as our own quality standards.
• You will identify target customers and plan for increased engagement within that customer target.
• Continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices and then acting on the information
• Researching social media trends and informing the client of changes that are relevant to marketing activities

• 5+ years’ experience in client-facing digital advertising, account management, or creative production roles.
• Strong understanding of digital content, creative campaign processes, and digital platforms.
• Experience with pitches, proposals, and creating compelling presentation decks; persuasive and highly organized.
• Quick to grasp and articulate client business goals and what needs to be achieved.

What we do:

Germany represents a critical growth market for EMEA and this is a senior-level opportunity within our German Business Development team, which is central to our EMEA growth strategy. We are looking for a commercially driven sales expert to lead and develop our relationships with strategic Holding Company agencies. Success in this role requires a demonstrable history of delivering exceptional results, building influential partnerships, and fostering strong cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll do:

• Leading and developing a high-performing team of Agency Business Development Managers, driving strategic partnerships with Agency Holding Companies.
• Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with C-Suite executives at key agency partners.
• Articulating the unique value proposition of our media buying platform, leveraging industry insights to drive adoption.
• Accelerating revenue growth through collaborative strategies with the Brand Business Development team and internal stakeholders.
• Negotiating and managing commercial agreements with agencies, in close collaboration with the General Manager Agency.
• Contributing to product roadmap prioritization by advocating for client needs with senior leadership, product, and engineering teams.
• Representing TTD's expertise and vision on both global and regional platforms.

Who you are: 

• A proven record of accomplishment in online advertising outbound sales
• An agile self-starter comfortable building from the ground up
• Experience working with blue chip companies and cross-functional teams
• Proven track record in a sales role working with advertisers and agencies
• Existing relationships with decision makers at major agencies and advertisers
• Experience establishing longstanding, consultative client relationships
• Strong quantitative skills and negotiation’s ability, able to lead commercial negotiations for large global accounts
• A capacity to participate in technical product roadmap and product scoping exercises
• Effective communication skills with an ability to speak with C-level clients
• Passion for owning a room, closing deals, and getting wins
• Proven record of accomplishment of exceeding revenue expectations

Your daily routine will include looking for prospects that will fit our target accounts and mastering your outreach strategies to sky rocket conversion rate (you will be equipped with a sales engagement platform).

• Last but not least you will manage your portfolio of existing clients including relationship meetings, look for cross and upsell opportunities as well as monitor their booking behaviour closely. 

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• 2+ years of sales experience with proven track record of reaching / overachieving sales targets (knowledge of hospitality industry desirable but not a must)
• Love being on the move
• Understand how your activities are impacting your sales quota
• You can make data driven decisions
• Enjoy speaking and meeting new people and you know how to engage with them
• Relish getting to know your customers to then collaborate with internal teams to improve our products for them
• Use coaching opportunities and self reflection to master your sales skills
