Are you excited about building the systems that keep Wolt running for millions of customers every day?
We’re looking for a pragmatic, product-minded Backend Engineer with strong skills in Python or Go to join our Consumer Platform team – the group behind the core infrastructure and reliability that make Wolt fast, stable, and scalable.
This is a role at the intersection of backend engineering, platform thinking, and reliability. You’ll work on the systems that power critical purchase flows and the foundations that other teams build on, shaping how Wolt performs at scale.
What you’ll be doing
Day-to-day in this role, you’ll:
Build and operate high-throughput backend services in Python and Go
Work across the full development lifecycle, from system design to deployment and monitoring
Improve the scalability and reliability of Wolt’s core platform
Design and develop shared services, internal tooling, and platform-level capabilities used across teams
Drive cross-team initiatives that raise engineering standards and system resilience
Collaborate with product teams and other engineering groups to support critical consumer-facing flows
Why this role
Work on the backbone of Wolt: Consumer Platform sits at the core of Wolt’s engineering organization. The systems you build power everything from purchase flows to platform-wide reliability, with direct impact on millions of users.
An AI-first engineering team: We don't use AI as a productivity add-on - we treat agentic coding as a core engineering discipline. We expect our engineers to build with AI agents, to challenge what's possible when the human-in-the-loop is a multiplier rather than a bottleneck, and to push the boundaries of what a small, focused team can ship.
High-impact, cross-team work: This team is known for driving initiatives that span across Wolt. Recent work includes scaling the purchase core to support split payments, building API gateway capabilities for critical flows, and improving reliability standards across the platform.
A small team with high leverage: You’ll work in a focused, experienced team where engineers take ownership, move quickly, and influence both technical direction and platform strategy.
AI-First Engineering in Consumer Platform
We’re building platform teams at the forefront of agentic software development. This goes beyond code generation. We’re interested in engineers who:
Design workflows where AI agents assist or own parts of the development loop
Think critically about what should be automated versus human-reviewed
Build tooling and abstractions that make AI-assisted backend development safer and more effective
Stay curious about new models, tools, and approaches, and form strong opinions on what actually works
If you find yourself asking “how should this system be built with AI in mind?” you’ll fit right in!
Strong backend fundamentals: Experience building production-grade backend services using Python, Go, or similar languages.
AI-first development mindset: You use AI tools in your daily workflow and think critically about how they improve how you build, debug, and design systems.
Experience at scale: You’ve worked on high-traffic production systems and understand the challenges of reliability, performance, and scalability.
System design thinking: You have solid fundamentals in designing distributed systems and care about efficiency, robustness, and maintainability.
End-to-end ownership mindset: You take responsibility beyond implementation, from shaping solutions to ensuring systems are stable, observable, and production-ready.
Ability to work independently and drive projects: You’re comfortable owning work end-to-end, navigating ambiguity, and moving initiatives forward with minimal guidance.
Collaboration and communication: You work effectively across teams and communicate clearly in multi-team engineering environments.
Reliability and operational awareness: Experience with observability, on-call practices, or reliability engineering is a plus.
Platform and tooling exposure: Experience contributing to shared systems, internal tooling, or platform engineering initiatives is a plus.
About You
You've built and shipped real software - products, platforms, APIs, apps - and you know what it takes to keep things running reliably in production. You have opinions about architecture but hold them lightly. You write tests. You read the alerts. You don't leave loose ends.
What sets you apart right now is that you're genuinely excited about where engineering is going. You've been experimenting with AI agents and agentic coding workflows - not because someone told you to, but because you couldn't help yourself. You think about how to redesign your development loop from first principles, not how to bolt AI onto the way you already work.
You communicate well, collaborate easily across disciplines, and care about the product as much as the code. You're the kind of engineer who asks "what's the best way to..." and then actually follows through.
Where you'll work
These roles are based in our tech hubs in Helsinki, Berlin OR Stockholm.

We’re looking for passionate and product-minded Backend Engineers to join our Discovery team - the group behind some of the most visible and impactful parts of Wolt’s consumer app. You’ll work on features that help millions of users discover their next favorite restaurant, grocery store, or product- from the homepage and category views to new vertical experiences like groceries, electronics, pet food, and health & beauty.
This is more than just a backend engineering role. We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with curiosity, ownership, and a deep interest in creating meaningful user experiences at scale.
AI-First Engineering in Discovery
We're building teams at the forefront of agentic coding. This goes beyond autocomplete or occasional prompting. We’re looking for engineers who:
Design workflows where AI agents handle entire task loops, from spec to PR.
Think in terms of orchestration: what does a human review, what does the agent own?
Build internal tooling and abstractions that make AI-assisted development faster and more reliable for the whole team.
Stay curious and ahead of the curve - trying new models, agents, and tools as they emerge, and forming strong opinions about what's genuinely useful vs. hype.
If you find yourself naturally asking "can an agent do this?" before reaching for the keyboard, you'll fit right in.
What you’ll do:
Design, build, and operate high-performance backend services - primarily in Kotlin and Go (experience with Python is a plus) - powering discovery surfaces, front pages, and category experiences across Wolt’s new and existing verticals.
Own your services end-to-end: from requirements, design, and delivery to testing, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and on-call.
Translate product and user needs into scalable, low-latency solutions and run experiments (A/B tests, feature flags) to continuously improve performance and impact.
Collaborate closely with Product Leads, Frontend, Data, and Machine Learning teams to build features like search, ranking, personalization, and data-pipeline integrations.
Drive reliability, observability, and efficiency - through automated testing, logging, tracing, alerting, incident response, and post-mortems.
Continuously improve technical quality by reducing tech debt, proposing architectural improvements, and measuring their outcomes.
Why this role?
Join our Discovery team and shape how users experience Wolt from the moment they open the app.
An AI-first team by design: We don't use AI as a productivity add-on - we treat agentic coding as a core engineering discipline. We expect our engineers to build with AI agents, to challenge what's possible when the human-in-the-loop is a multiplier rather than a bottleneck, and to push the boundaries of what a small, focused team can ship.
Real ownership, real impact: Discovery is one of the most critical parts of the product. You’ll own features end-to-end and see your work directly influence user behavior at scale.
Cross-functional collaboration: You’ll work closely with product managers, designers (including motion), backend engineers, and data teams to build seamless user experiences.
A small team with high leverage: We operate as a tight, cross-functional team where engineers have a strong voice, move fast, and take responsibility for what they ship.
What we’re looking for
Solid engineering fundamentals: At least 1-2 years of experience building production backend services
Genuine enthusiasm for AI-first development: You use AI tools daily and have formed real opinions about how to get the most out of them.
End-to-end ownership mindset: You take responsibility beyond implementation, from breaking down problems into technical tasks to ensuring features are tested, stable, and successfully shipped
Ability to work independently and drive projects: You’re comfortable owning work end-to-end with minimal guidance, collaborating with designers to clarify requirements, creating tasks, and moving initiatives forward
Product and execution thinking: You operate well in ambiguous environments and contribute not just to implementation, but to shaping what gets built and how
Experience operating in production environments: You’ve debugged real issues in live backend services and understand what it takes to maintain reliability at scale
Collaboration and communication: You communicate clearly and work effectively across teams, including in multi-team development environments
🌍 Where You’ll Work
You will be based in Helsinki, and be a part of a distributed, cross-functional team with engineers in Berlin and Helsinki. We operate in a remote-friendly environment designed to encourage collaboration and innovation.

About the Team
The Wolt Market Talent Acquisition Operations team is evolving into a strategic, centralized function that enables scalable, efficient, and data-driven hiring across all international markets. As Wolt Market continues to grow, we are shifting from manual, recruiter-led processes to a more standardized, technology-enabled hiring model powered by tools like Greenhouse and Fountain.
Our goal is to build a highly efficient, automated hiring engine that supports rapid expansion across diverse geographies, while maintaining strong candidate experience and operational consistency. This requires leaders who can blend talent acquisition expertise with program management, analytics, and continuous improvement.
About the Role
As a Lead Program Manager, you will own and scale high-volume hiring operations for Wolt Market across international locations. Based in Greece, you will lead a team of recruiters and sourcers responsible for delivering hiring outcomes at scale through Greenhouse and Fountain (including automated assessments).
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance team management with program ownership—driving execution while continuously improving processes, workflows, and funnel performance. You will focus on building repeatable, scalable hiring systems that reduce manual effort and increase speed, quality, and consistency.
This role is ideal for someone with a Talent Acquisition background who is looking to grow into Program Management, and who brings a strong analytical mindset, ownership mentality, and passion for process improvement.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
Lead and develop a team of recruiters and sourcers delivering high-volume hiring across international markets
Own hiring delivery through Greenhouse and Fountain, including automated screening and assessments
Drive end-to-end pipeline performance, from application through onboarding
Identify bottlenecks in the hiring funnel and implement scalable process improvements
Standardize workflows across markets while adapting to local nuances
Leverage data to monitor performance, improve conversion rates, and reduce drop-off (e.g., NCNS, early attrition)
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Workforce Planning, HR) to align hiring with business needs
Build and document processes, playbooks, and best practices to enable consistency at scale
Contribute to the broader transformation toward a more automated, efficient hiring model
We’re excited about you because…
You have 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting Operations, Program Management, or similar
You have experience in high-volume hiring environments and understand pipeline management at scale
You have people management experience (leading recruiters, coordinators, or sourcers)
You bring a strong analytical mindset and are comfortable using data to drive decisions
You have a track record of continuous improvement and optimizing processes
You are comfortable working with tools like Greenhouse, Fountain, or similar systems
You are highly organized and able to manage both team execution and program-level initiatives
You are comfortable writing clear documentation, building playbooks, and standardizing ways of working
You are adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Experience working across multiple countries or international markets is a plus
Why this role
This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role while expanding into Program Management, owning both people and process. You will play a key role in building a scalable hiring engine for Wolt Market globally, with direct impact on business growth and operational success.

Wolt’s Growth Marketing function has scaled to a global organization of 70+ people across Performance Marketing, CRM, Martech, and Media. To manage this scale effectively, the Director of Growth requires a "right hand" to ensure the organization remains lean, happy, aligned, and focused on business outcomes rather than just activity.
This is not a traditional administrative role; it is a high-leverage position designed to act as a force multiplier for the Sr Director of Growth. You will oversee the operational heartbeat of the department, ensuring that global strategies are executed with precision. You are responsible for building the systems that allow 70+ experts to move in the same direction, removing the friction that comes with a multi-market matrix, and ensuring that our most critical growth levers are prioritized and measured with executive rigor.
What you’ll be doing
Set up the meeting structures and reporting flows so the team spends less time "giving updates" and more time making decisions on trade-offs and business impact.
Own the quarterly and annual planning process, making sure every team’s goal is directly tied to growing our user base and revenue.
Make sure teams are using the global playbooks and quality checks we built, closing the gap between strategy and real-world execution.
Help the Sr Director decide where to hire next and how to move people between projects as our technical and business needs change.
Take complicated data and technical project updates and turn them into simple, one-page briefs or slides so the Sr Director can quickly update the executive-level stakeholders.
Identify when teams are working in silos or when we are over-messaging our users, and build the processes to fix it before it hurts our numbers.
Lead people practice, ensuring we have a strong, connected team culture, and that team members see a long-term future to grow their careers within Wolt.
Our humble expectations
5+ years of experience in operations, strategy, project management, or growth marketing in a high-growth tech environment.
Proven ability to navigate a large, global matrix organization and drive alignment across multiple senior teams without needing direct reporting authority.
A strong "owner" mindset with the ability to build organizational structure and culture from scratch in fast-paced or ambiguous situations.
Deep commercial acumen, with the ability to look past vanity metrics and focus on incrementality, payback, and long-term business value.
Exceptional communication skills, specifically the ability to filter out noise and present only the most critical decisions and narratives to executive leadership.
Experience in organizational design or "people ops," with a genuine interest in building career frameworks and fostering a high-performance team culture.
A high level of analytical literacy, comfortable enough with data tools and technical roadmaps to stress-test the plans presented by functional leads.
A bias for simplicity, with a track record of removing bureaucracy and "corporate fluff" to help teams move faster.
What we offer
This is a rare, high-impact chance to be the right hand to the Director of Growth Marketing and the engine behind a global team of 80 people. You won’t just be pushing paper; you will be the architect of how we actually get things done, turning a complex web of teams, domains and markets into a fast-moving growth machine.
From running the planning cycles that drive our revenue to building the team culture and career paths that keep our 70+ experts motivated, you will have the freedom to fix what’s broken and the influence to shape how Wolt grows. If you’re a natural operator who loves cutting through the noise, turning messy data into clear plans, and building both smart systems and strong teams, this role gives you a front-row seat to global leadership.
Next steps
Our hiring process prioritizes quality over speed to ensure we find the right long-term fit for this critical role. Candidates move through the process one step at a time, typically starting with an initial screen and a hiring manager interview, followed by a peer interview and a take-home case study presentation, concluding with a final value-fit conversation.

At Wolt, we’re building the most efficient, reliable, and scalable delivery experience across our markets. Courier supply is one of the core marketplace levers—if it works, everything works; if it doesn’t, service degrades, costs spike, and growth slows.
As Head of Courier Supply for the South Region, you will own courier supply end-to-end in Greece. You will report into the South Head of Operations. This role combines strategy, execution, and team leadership, with a strong focus on building scalable, increasingly automated systems that move us from reactive operations to predictive, AI-driven decision-making.
What you’ll be doing
This role is about turning demand into reliable, cost-efficient delivery capacity at scale. You will own forecasting, acquisition, incentives, and real-time supply-demand balancing across multiple markets, while building systems that scale without linear headcount growth.
Day-to-day in this role you’ll:
Own courier supply KPIs across your cities, including availability, utilization, cost efficiency, and service reliability
Lead and develop a team of ~5 people, driving performance and building a high-performing organization
Define and execute supply strategies across different time horizons (hourly, daily, seasonal)
Drive forecasting, incentive design, and supply planning using increasingly AI-driven tools and models
Optimize incentive structures (who, where, when, how much) to ensure efficient growth and controlled costs
Identify and implement scalable solutions to improve courier acquisition, retention, and engagement
Partner with Product, Analytics, Finance, and Global Ops to improve tooling, automation, and decision-making frameworks
Work closely with local teams and external partners (fleet partners, courier partners, authorities) to ensure strong market execution
Detect operational anomalies early and act quickly to prevent service degradation
Our humble expectations
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or leadership roles in fast-paced environments, with 3+ years in leadership roles (owning teams, not just projects)
Strong marketplace understanding (supply–demand mechanics) and operational rigor across multiple time horizons
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with solid financial acumen (forecasting, ROI, cost control)
Experience leading projects and driving execution in complex, cross-functional environments
Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, and develop high-performing teams
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Fluency in both English and Greek is a requirement
You're able to work from our Athens office four times a week with one optional work from home day
Nice to have:
Experience in marketplaces, on-demand platforms, or e-commerce
Exposure to AI/ML applications in operations or decision-making
What we offer
Ownership of one of the most critical levers of the business on one of Wolt’s biggest markets (Greece)
A role with high autonomy and direct impact on growth, cost, and service quality
The opportunity to define how AI is embedded into core operational decision-making (forecasting, incentives, automation)
Exposure to multiple functions, creating strong career growth opportunities
A fast-paced, execution-driven environment where results are visible and measurable
Competitive compensation package
Next steps
After applying, the process typically includes an initial screening, followed by interviews focused on your operational thinking, leadership, and problem-solving approach. You can expect a case exercise related to marketplace dynamics and supply optimization, along with discussions with regional and global stakeholders, including the South Head of Operations.
If you are excited about working in a high-growth environment, taking ownership, and being part of an extremely ambitious team, then click below to apply and get the conversation going. Please submit both your resume and cover letter in English!

Hey, you look like you might be our new Inside Sales Representative
Wolt is building the leading local commerce platform across Europe and beyond. Denmark is one of our core markets, and Inside Sales is the engine that drives merchant acquisition at scale — across both SMB Restaurant and Retail segments.
As an Inside Sales Associate, you will own the phone-based acquisition of restaurants and retail stores across Denmark. You will run the full sales cycle end-to-end — from first contact to signed partner — and be accountable for the selection we build in your portfolio. This role combines commercial ownership, high-volume execution, and disciplined pipeline management. If you thrive in a performance-driven environment where every call, every close, and every signed partner moves the business forward, this role gives you the mandate and scope to make a visible commercial impact from day one.
What you'll be doing
This role is about driving profitable growth across Denmark's Restaurant and Retail merchant landscape. You will own a portfolio of areas, work a structured pipeline, and consistently deliver high-quality partner acquisitions.
Day-to-day in this role you'll:
Own the acquisition strategy and outcomes for your geographic portfolio — across both SMB Restaurant and Retail merchants
Run the full sales cycle: prospecting, first contact, pitching, negotiating commercial terms, and signing partners
Tailor your approach across verticals — restaurants, cafés, bakeries, specialty retail, convenience — each with its own economics and objections
Maintain a healthy, forward-looking pipeline and strong forecast accuracy in CRM
Deliver against weekly and monthly revenue and activation targets
Negotiate commercial terms and conditions and collect all onboarding documentation
Ensure a seamless handover to the merchant onboarding team
Work closely with Account Management, Field Sales, and Operations to prioritise the right merchants in the right areas
Contribute to the Inside Sales playbook — what's converting, what isn't, and what needs to change
Our humble expectations
We are looking for a commercially sharp seller with proven outbound experience and a genuine hunter mentality.
Must-have experience
2+ years of professional experience in outbound sales, business development, or merchant acquisition
Demonstrated track record of carrying and hitting a quota
Experience managing your own pipeline end-to-end in a CRM environment
Comfort working the phone as a primary sales channel, at volume
Core skills
Fluency in Danish and English (both written and spoken) required
Strong commercial instincts — you can read a merchant, adjust your pitch, and close on value
Advanced negotiation skills and confidence handling objections
Structured, data-informed approach to pipeline and prioritisation
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Ownership mindset — you treat your portfolio like it's your own business
Nice to have
Direct experience in hospitality, retail, FMCG, or food delivery platforms
Background in SMB merchant acquisition or marketplace sales
Experience selling into both Restaurant and Retail segments
Exposure to SaaS or platform-based commercial models
Experience using AI or automation tools in sales workflows (lead scoring, prospecting, outreach)
What we offer
Full ownership of a merchant portfolio in one of Wolt's core markets
Dual-vertical exposure across SMB Restaurant and Retail — a commercial toolkit few sales roles offer this early
A competitive salary and commission structure
High visibility and direct influence on Denmark's merchant selection and growth
A fast-paced, performance-driven environment where strategic thinking and execution excellence are equally valued
Daily lunch, a Wolt order discount, a stocked office — plus a range of other local benefits
This is a role for a commercial operator — someone motivated by signed partners, pipeline discipline, and shaping the merchant landscape in Denmark.

We’re now looking for a Marketing Manager to join our local Marketing team in Norway; ideally someone who thrives in a broad, hands-on marketing role. In this role, you’ll bring Wolt’s story to life in your market by leading local commercial and content/social media marketing efforts. You’ll report to the Head of Marketing for Norway and Iceland, and play a key role in driving growth across all our business lines — from restaurants and retail to new verticals.
You’ll work at the intersection of creativity and strategy: managing local partnerships, building campaigns that resonate with customers, and driving meaningful community engagement. This is your chance to shape how Wolt shows up locally — building brand love and loyalty, one campaign at a time.

As a Marketing Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind Wolt’s local marketing initiatives — bringing our brand to life across cities, communities, and digital channels. You’ll turn insights into creative campaigns, partnerships, and experiences that strengthen our local presence and drive growth across all business lines. This is a hands-on role where you’ll get to blend strategic thinking with creative execution, while collaborating closely with local teams and regional marketing partners to make an impact that truly resonates.

Lead and manage local marketing campaigns from concept to execution — ensuring they’re engaging, effective, and true to Wolt’s brand.
Build strong relationships with local partners and merchants to co-create marketing initiatives that drive visibility and mutual growth.
Develop and implement the local social media strategy, crafting authentic, relevant, and community-driven content.
Collaborate with local influencers to produce creative, high-impact content that connects with our audience.
Activate both organic and paid hyper-local initiatives such as events, guerrilla marketing, and partnerships with community brands.
Partner with the regional marketing team to ensure that local campaigns align with broader business goals and brand guidelines.
Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance — translating insights into actionable improvements.
Support campaign planning for new city or area launches, helping to build excitement and awareness in new markets.
Our humble expectations
Experience managing and executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels (social, partnerships, events, influencer).
Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, ideally across commercial, operations, and content teams.
Strong analytical mindset — confident in using data to measure campaign effectiveness and inform future strategies.
Comfortable juggling both strategy and execution in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed organization
Previous experience in food delivery, on-demand services, or e-commerce is a plus.
What we offer
