As a leading insurance and financial services company focused on meeting the evolving needs of K-12 educators and employees of other non-profit organizations, we are seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP)– Enterprise Litigation Counsel to join our Office of the General Counsel, Law Division. This position offers flexible work arrangements, including fully remote or hybrid options (Springfield, IL, Addison, TX, or Madison, WI), with occasional travel for key meetings and collaboration.

The Opportunity

This is a highly visible role responsible for leading litigation strategy across the enterprise while remaining closely engaged in the management of significant matters. The AVP – Enterprise Litigation & Claims Counsel will oversee complex, high-exposure, and precedent-setting litigation, partner directly with senior leadership, and play a key role in how the organization evaluates and manages legal risk.

This position is well-suited for an experienced litigator with a demonstrated background in insurance coverage and extra-contractual/bad faith matters who is seeking to broaden their impact beyond individual cases into enterprise-level strategy while remaining engaged in substantive legal work.  The position also requires a business-centric, strategic thinker who has the ability to work proactively with claims and other key business stakeholders to provide exceptional counseling to mitigate litigation risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute litigation strategy for complex, high-exposure, and precedent-setting matters across the enterprise
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership by providing practical, risk-based legal guidance on significant issues
• Direct and manage outside counsel, including active involvement in litigation plans, budgets, pleadings, discovery, motions, and overall case strategy
• Partner with outside counsel in litigation matters as appropriate, including participation in negotiations and key strategic decisions
• Partner closely with Claims leadership on litigation involving coverage, first-party claims, and extra-contractual/bad faith exposure
• Identify litigation trends and emerging risks, and proactively develop enterprise-wide risk mitigation strategies
• Support regulatory inquiries, market conduct matters, and broader enterprise risk management initiatives
• Establish consistent legal positions and best practices across jurisdictions and business lines
• Manage litigation-related legal spend, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in good standing (ability to register as in-house counsel in applicable jurisdictions as needed)
• 12+ years of legal experience with a strong focus on complex litigation
• Meaningful experience with insurance coverage, first-party claims, and extra-contractual/bad faith litigation
• Experience handling or advising on high-exposure, complex litigation matters involving significant financial or reputational risk
• Demonstrated experience managing significant litigation matters and working closely with outside counsel
• Strong litigation judgment and ability to operate independently with limited oversight
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively and build credibility with senior leadership
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry and/or prior in-house experience preferred
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly to diverse audiences
• Trial experience required

The Sr. Legal Counsel, Public Policy position promotes ADF's strategic objectives through education and advocacy efforts that involve direct government action. As an alliance builder, the Legal Counsel will support outreach and coordination with allies focused on government, legislative, and policy issues, with a joint focus on both federal and state legislative efforts. • Conduct research on current federal and state court precedents that affect legislative and policy matters.

• Travel extensively to meet with and educate lawmakers on legislative proposals, policy positions, and legal implications.

• Review, track, analyze, and report on relevant federal and state legislation.

The Credit & Collections Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial health by managing a complex portfolio of delinquent accounts. Support Toyota Motors North America (TMNA) overall mission to create the best Omni Channel Customer Experience, leveraging and identifying their data and marketing technology and data infrastructure. Guide the teams in enabling best-in-class marketing strategies to reach target audiences with precision, and effectively track, report and optimize each step of the customer journey.

Balance team leadership and managerial responsibilities with subject matter expertise in overseeing and supporting data and platform enablement deliverables. • Design and build scalable systems, workflows, and self-service resources that reduce legal bottlenecks, standardize contracting, and empower business teams to move faster without sacrificing quality or risk posture
• Identify, evaluate, pilot, and operationalize AI tools and emerging technologies across the contract lifecycle — from intake and triage to drafting, review, redlining, and post-signature management — and measure their impact
• Develop and maintain contract review playbooks, fallback position libraries, templates, clause banks, and negotiation guidance that enable consistent outcomes across the team and business partners

About the Role

We are seeking an In-House Counsel with 2–3 years of legal experience to join our growing tech services startup. As an early member of the legal team, you will gain broad exposure to commercial, operational, and corporate legal matters, and play a key role in helping the company scale responsibly in a fast-paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop into a more senior in-house role over time, with meaningful ownership and impact from day one.

This is an onsite position based in Redwood City, California or Plano, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including:  

• • Commercial Leasing, Hosting agreements, Purchase and Contracts.   

• • Customer Contracts and Agreements  

• • Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), NDAs, vendor agreements, and partner contracts 

• Work closely with Business and Commercial leadership to provide legal support for operational, technical, and commercial needs.  

• Partner with Sales, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to support enterprise customer negotiations and contracting strategy.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks related to operations, people management, contractor management, cloud and software services, and technology delivery.

• Support compliance initiatives, including data privacy, information security, and regulatory considerations relevant to infrastructure and tech services.

• Assist with corporate matters including entity management, policies, governance documentation, and contract playbook development.

• Manage outside counsel for specialized matters such as Commercial Leasing, Purchasing, Integration and other Conversations. 

• Contribute to building scalable legal processes, templates, workflows, and best practices to support rapid growth.

Basic Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school 

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction  

• 2–3 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm and/or inhouse legal department 

• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate legal concepts for nonlegal teams 

• Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple deadlines in a fastmoving environment 

• Ability and willingness to work onsite in Redwood City, CA or Plano, TX 

Preferred Qualifications

• Background supporting sales and customer facing teams on contract negotiations 

• Exposure to privacy, data protection, information security, or employment law 

• Prior inhouse experience at a startup, technology, SaaS, or professional services company

Compensation & Benefits

About the Role:

As the Regional Construction Manager you will own and drive all aspects of project construction to establish Zipline’s ground infrastructure in the region. This includes managing the entire process from contractor evaluation, contracting and bid evaluation, design review in partnership with our engineering teams, through to full scope site construction management and project competition  and oversight in partnership with our Service Operations and Superintendent teams. You’ll work closely with the broader Deployment and Construction team, Real Estate and Government Affairs teams, Finance, Legal, and Engineering to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and secure the necessary approvals to expand our network.

You will lead negotiations, manage external vendors, and ensure project timelines are met, all while maintaining alignment with Zipline’s strategic goals. Zipline’s Community Engagement and Legal teams will support you in fostering local partnerships and navigating jurisdictional processes to fast-track approvals.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Manage construction projects, site infrastructure installments, construction contractors, and additional real estate development projects ensuring schedule and cost targets are met or beaten.
• Develop and lead pre-construction strategies to streamline entitlements and permits for our ground infrastructure.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with City Managers, staff, and City Council members and inspectors to facilitate smooth approvals and permit completion from Planning and Zoning commissions and AHJ’s. 
• Collaborate closely with jurisdictions, land use counsel, and our Legal team to create pathways for drone delivery in evolving regulatory landscapes.
• Work with customer real estate teams to seamlessly integrate Zipline systems into both existing and newly designed infrastructure.
• Source and foster relationships with external stakeholders, including local jurisdictions, utilities, and contractors.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with pre-construction and construction phases.
• Engage with partners’ Real Estate and Government Affairs teams to ensure alignment on expectations and timelines.
• Source and manage general contractors and subcontractors across various trades (construction, assembly, electrical) during bid, pre-construction, construction and site commissioning project phases. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Real Estate Development, Finance, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field 
• 6+  years of experience in real estate development or construction.
• Proven ability to manage entitlements and permits for infrastructure projects in collaboration with customers’ Real Estate and Construction teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to align internal stakeholders on project requirements and provide leadership with regular updates on challenges, risks, and opportunities.
• 4+ years of experience working with external design teams (Architectural, Structural, Civil, MEPs) on commercial real estate or construction projects.
• Familiarity with working alongside Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to navigate permitting and inspection processes.

Clinical Care

About the Role:

As the Sales/ Project Engineer for Ziplines Ground Systems and Site Infrastructure, you’ll spearhead the deployment success of Ziplines Offsite Charging sites, the game changing autonomous loading Zipping Point, and other site infrastructure. You’ll be handling all deployment topics, finding innovative solutions that work for partner sites, executing solutions to problems and roadblocks, and driving feedback and product changes to simplify and accelerate the rollout of Ziplines delivery infrastructure. The selected attorney will assist the firm's Employment Services group with California employment litigation matters, with a focus on employment defense litigation, single plaintiff litigation, and class/PAGA litigation cases. Attorneys with demonstrated experience managing all phases of litigation and specifically California employment litigation matters are encouraged to apply.

The selected resource will be responsible for drafting motions and discovery, and working directly with client teams, counterparties, and other stakeholders in support of large institutional clients. Attorneys should be highly organized with strong case management skills and will be required to regularly manage multiple matters with competing deadlines.
