We are on a mission to serve all humans equally by ensuring access to food, medicine and essential goods anytime, anywhere. We design, build, and operate the world’s largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. Today, Zipline operates on four continents, makes a delivery somewhere in the world every 30 seconds, and has completed millions of deliveries to date, including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products.
Our customers include the world’s largest and most prominent healthcare systems, governments, retailers, restaurants and global businesses who rely on us to save lives, reduce emissions, increase economic opportunity, and provide delivery from point A to point B as fast as possible. The drone is only 15% of what we’ve built to enable seamless, reliable, global operations.
Our system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and gives people time back. With more than 140 million commercial autonomous miles safely flown, Zipline is redefining access to healthcare, consumer products, and food across the globe.
We operate at a global scale and are looking for practical problem solvers who thrive on real-world challenges and rapid growth. Our team is motivated by building systems that have a direct, meaningful impact on people’s lives and by scaling the future of logistics. We are seeking people who sculpt from first principles, enjoy facing adversity, and can do the impossible at record breaking speeds.
Do you thrive in high-pressure environments where every minute counts and your decisions directly impact life-saving deliveries? The Service Engineering team sits at the critical nexus between operations and engineering, serving as the first line of technical support for our global fleet of aircraft, droids, and docks. When assets go down, customers can't receive essential supplies—there's no room for delay.
Our Service Engineers are the elite troubleshooters who ensure grounded assets return to service with maximum velocity and quality. You'll work in 24/7 shift operations, serving as the primary technical lead who coordinates cross-team resources, diagnoses complex technical issues, and maintains the operational tempo that keeps Zipline flying around the world.
This role operates under strict regulatory requirements (FAA Part 135) and demanding performance targets to minimize time to service restoration and maximizing first-time fix rates. You'll serve both Flight Test and Commercial Operations, making your work essential to every delivery we make.
As a Service Engineer, you'll lead technical response as the primary technical lead for grounded assets, coordinating cross-team resources and driving resolution with urgency and precision. Your systematic troubleshooting approach will use approved procedures and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement solutions for aircraft, droid, and dock systems. Working in 24/7 shift operations forms a core part of your responsibilities, including comprehensive handovers, on-call duties, and emergency response protocols to maintain continuous coverage.
You'll coordinate cross-team escalation to engineering support and maintenance teams, creating work orders and ensuring smooth handoffs when physical maintenance is required. Log analysis and diagnostics will become second nature as you identify patterns, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and generate reports that drive continuous improvement. Maintaining regulatory compliance with FAA Part 135 operations, CAMP requirements, and repairman certification standards ensures all documentation meets aviation industry standards.
Driving continuous improvement will be central to your role as you contribute to troubleshooting guides, identify automation opportunities, and provide feedback to design engineering on system improvements. You'll operate advanced tools including the Zipline ERP (Zerp) platform, Fleet Apps, incident.io, and Jira to track assets, manage incidents, and coordinate with global teams. Asset triage and prioritization will maximize operational impact, ensuring critical assets return to service first while managing multiple incidents simultaneously.
Documentation and tracking of all troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and lessons learned builds institutional knowledge and supports regulatory requirements.
The starting cash range for this role is $68,000 - $145,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. Each year, the Company will decide whether the Company’s financial performance, market performance, and business realities allow it to create an annual bonus pool. If the Company decides that annual bonuses may be awarded, then the Leadership Team will grant annual bonuses to employees in good standing based on the same factors discussed in the previous paragraph while also considering employees’ diligence, performance, expertise, skill, judgment, and experience. To be eligible to participate in this annual bonus pool, an employee must be hired by no later than October 1st of the preceding year. We are the better way to work in finance. As private equity’s value creation partner, we sit at the heart of PE where sponsors and CFOs meet. Through financial consulting rooted in data, technology, and AI, we help clients drive value where we support the office of the CFO to drive end-to-end value creation.
If you crave challenging work and are looking to grow, come solve complex issues alongside 1,600+ finance & technology experts in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Backed by premier private equity firms and headquartered in New York with 11 offices around the globe, we are a high-growth, entrepreneurial firm looking for people who want to be part of building something great. Come make your mark.
Accordion's Data & Analytics (D&A) team offers cutting-edge, intelligent solutions to a global clientele, leveraging a blend of domain knowledge, sophisticated technology tools, and deep analytics capabilities to tackle complex business challenges.
We partner with Private Equity clients and their Portfolio Companies across diverse sectors, including Retail, CPG, Healthcare, Media & Entertainment, Technology, and Logistics.
This role can be based in any of our US office locations and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week. Ideal candidates should be local to the desired location.
This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
The AI Lab is composed of leading software and AI engineers, designing agentic-AI solutions ahead of the market. Our group builds and operationalizes the AI systems that power Accordion’s consulting capabilities, from agentic architectures and RAG pipelines to evaluation frameworks and production observability.
The Lab works closely with practice leaders to translate research findings into scalable, reliable tools that advance Accordion’s AI-driven value creation work for PE clients and their portfolio companies.
We're looking for a Data Specialist to join one of Accordion's AI-augmented delivery pods. These pods are purpose-built teams that combine AI engineering, data science, and product management to transform how PE-backed companies run finance and operations.
In this role, you are the person who makes data work in practice. You move fluidly between messy source systems and production-ready pipelines, and you do it fast. You'll work directly alongside AI engineers and product managers to scope data requirements, diagnose quality issues, and build the data foundations that AI systems depend on. Client-facing moments come with the territory. You'll need to ask sharp questions, explain what you're seeing in plain language, and earn trust quickly.
This is not a role for someone who needs clean handoffs and stable requirements. The data is complicated, the timelines are short, and the problems change. If that sounds like the environment where you do your best work, this is the role.
This is a high-velocity environment. Sprints are short, client expectations are high, and we don’t slow down between engagements. If you’ve spent time in large enterprise engineering organizations where velocity is constrained by process, this will feel different.
The people who thrive here are those who find the pace energizing, not exhausting. They ship fast because they’ve internalized good judgment (not because they cut corners). They use AI tools to multiply their output, communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and course-correct quickly when something isn’t working.
The annual salary for this role ranges from: $144,500 to $230,000 USD + significant bonus + benefits. Actual compensation packages are determined by evaluating a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, years and depth of experience, education, certifications, cost of labor and internal equity.
Accordion is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law.
Please note that as per Accordion policy, we do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters unless such recruiters are engaged to provide candidates for a specified opening and in alignment with our inclusive diversity values. Any employment agency, person or entity that submits an unsolicited resume does so with the understanding that Accordion will have the right to hire that applicant at its discretion without any fee owed to the submitting employment agency, person or entity.

Title: Senior Application Security Engineer
Location: Austin, TX / Dallas, TX / San Jose, CA / Morristown, NJ (hybrid)
Reports To: Sr. Manager, Cybersecurity
About Hippo
Hippo exists to protect the joy of homeownership. We believe that insurance should protect the things you treasure through an intuitive, modern experience. We provide tailored insurance coverage and preventative maintenance plans that keep you protected throughout your homeowner journey. We’ll also help you find coverage for everything life brings—from auto to flood—reimagining how you care for your home.
About the Role
The Senior Application Security Engineer is a senior individual contributor responsible for driving application security outcomes across Hippo’s engineering organization. This role serves as a trusted subject matter expert in application security, providing deep technical guidance and influencing secure design decisions across multiple teams, products, and services.
This position is application-security–first, with intentional overlap into cloud and platform security where application code, identity, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure intersect. While the role does not own infrastructure, security programs, or formal departmental priorities, it is accountable for identifying application-centric risks and guiding high-impact security decisions through expertise, partnership, and advisory influence.
Operating with significant autonomy, the Senior Application Security Engineer independently owns complex and ambiguous security challenges end-to-end, ensuring outcomes align with business objectives and risk tolerance. This role emphasizes technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship rather than people management.
About You
You are a seasoned application security professional with deep technical expertise and strong judgment, trusted to guide complex security decisions in high-impact environments. You think adversarially, understand modern application architectures, and can clearly articulate risk tradeoffs to engineering, product, and security leadership.
You are comfortable operating independently in ambiguous situations, influencing outcomes through credibility and collaboration rather than formal authority. You communicate clearly, mentor others naturally, and help elevate application security maturity across teams by embedding secure design principles into everyday engineering practices.
What You'll Do:
Serve as a senior subject matter expert in application security, providing authoritative guidance on secure design, authentication, identity flows, API security, and cloud-native application risks.
Act as a trusted security advisor during architecture reviews, design discussions, and risk assessments across multiple teams and services.
Identify, assess, and clearly communicate application-centric security risks across application code, CI/CD pipelines, identity systems, and cloud environments.
Independently own and drive resolution of complex and ambiguous application security challenges with broad organizational impact.
Apply threat modeling, attack-path analysis, and adversarial thinking to inform defensive improvements and strengthen application resilience.
Contribute technically to broader security programs by shaping standards, best practices, secure patterns, and technical guidance.
Support security incidents and targeted threat-hunting efforts by providing application security expertise, root-cause analysis, and remediation guidance.
Design, improve, and help operationalize automated security tooling and pipelines (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets detection).
Mentor engineers and security partners across teams, acting as a force multiplier to improve secure design and decision-making at scale.
Communicate risks, recommendations, and standards clearly to senior engineers and security leadership to influence technical direction.
Must Haves:
6+ years of experience in application security or product security roles.
Demonstrated impact improving application security outcomes across multiple teams, systems, or business domains.
Deep experience securing web applications, APIs, distributed systems, WAFs, and customer identity platforms.
Proven ability to review system designs, data flows, and identify architectural security risks.
Solid understanding of cloud-native application architectures and CI/CD pipelines from an application risk perspective.
Experience designing or maintaining automated security tooling and pipelines (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets detection).
Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages.
Nice to Have:
Experience threat modeling or assessing AI-powered features and LLM integrations.
Application-focused penetration testing or adversarial security testing experience.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, container security, and infrastructure-as-code as they relate to application security.
Experience operating in regulated environments.
Relevant security certifications (e.g., OSWE, GWAPT, CSSLP).
Benefits and Perks:
Hippo treats its team members with the same level of dedication and care as we do our customers, which is why we’re fortunate to provide all of our Hippos with:
The Morristown, NJ and San Francisco Bay Area base pay range for this role is $151,000.00 - $226,250.00. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, location, business needs and market demands.
Hippo is an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to building a team culture that celebrates diversity and inclusion. Hippo’s applicants are considered solely based on their qualifications, without regard to an applicant’s disability or need for accommodation. Any Hippo applicant who requires reasonable accommodations during the application process should contact the Hippo’s People Team to make the need for an accommodation known.
