Atlas Growth is a cloud engineering group whose mission is to guide customers through their app development journey—from cluster configuration, data modeling and load testing, to running a production workload at scale. Role Overview

Atlas Growth 2 seeks a Senior Software Engineer. Senior engineers lead complex projects, provide mentorship to teammates, and shape the technical direction of our team. They are expected to proactively suggest and implement improvements to our product, processes, and infrastructure, in addition to leading their projects.

Candidate Profile

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Fluency in TypeScript and JavaScript
• Proficiency in Java, Go, C++/C, or a similar compiled language
• Experience writing database queries and indexes—either document-based or relational
• Experience writing and reviewing technical specs 
• Interest in A/B testing or product design
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container architecture

A successful Staff Software Engineer on Atlas Growth will come to understand the behaviors that make users successful in Atlas.  They will be a strong partner for our Product team in identifying and prioritizing the right UX improvements, as well as have a strong infrastructural bent, leading the evolution of our backend service-oriented architecture.  They will be an owner of our partner platform, driving Atlas's integration into the many SaaS players defining our industry, and they will become an expert in the experimentation and analytics platform services Growth owns, shaping their roadmaps to accelerate how quickly Atlas learns and delivers.

• Define the future evolution and vision of Growth by working closely with Product Management, Product Design, Analytics, UX Research, as well as other Engineering teams within the company

Our Database Experience (DBX) Team

The Database Experience team builds the libraries and tools that developers use day-to-day working with MongoDB. Our mission is to increase developer adoption, satisfaction and retention by providing a reliable, enjoyable interface for developers and other end-users.

For our PHP team, we are looking to hire an engineer in Ireland. You will be joining a team of three engineers to help streamline and increase the adoption of MongoDB in the PHP community.

This role can be based out of our Dublin office or remotely in Ireland.

In This Role You Will

• Maintain the MongoDB PHP Extension
• Work with the libmongoc team to design APIs the PHP driver can leverage
• Interface with PHP core developers to stay up-to-date on internal changes in the PHP language
• Support our Developer Relations, Documentation, and Education teams in creating high-quality content for PHP developers
• Seek out speaking and writing opportunities to engage with the PHP Community
