The Security Product Management team is vital in safeguarding customer trust and making data security a market differentiator that enables MongoDB to succeed in enterprise and regulated industries. Our team's scope is broad and critical, covering a range of features, including Networking, IAM, Data Governance, Encryption, Compliance, and Auditing.

This role can be based out of our New York City office or remotely in North America.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will be a key member of security product management making data security a market differentiator that enables MongoDB to succeed in enterprise and regulated industries
• Build a vision for best-in-class data security features such as Resource Policies, Secure by Default at MongoDB, and other security and privacy features that minimize exposure to unauthorized access and risk of data loss. 
• Partner with engineering to develop a prioritized product roadmap and backlog to execute against that vision.
• Deeply understand all aspects of the business - to ensure a business outcome aligned with our broader product, customer, and company goals
• Deepen our understanding of evolving threats and corresponding technologies in data security. Use customer inputs to serve as an expert and propose new innovations or best practices from the industry
• ​​Partner with engineering, legal, research, product marketing, support, sales, and security teams to deepen customer trust as they use MongoDB for their most critical data workloads
• Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for security initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product goals

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management or equivalent experience in enterprise security or platforms
• Experience working with security focused engineers in a diverse team
• Domain expertise in data security
• Experience driving business results through influential leadership across multiple partner teams including engineering, sales, marketing, solution architects and customer success.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership
• Proven ability to define and deliver successful product strategies and roadmaps
• Demonstrated experience in defining technical product requirements into an actionable product roadmap
• Understanding of various public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Comfortable with stage presence and public speaking
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

• Certifications or similar evidence of professional milestone completion and continuous training (such as: CISSP, CompTia Security+, SANS, etc.)

Senior Customer Success Manager

The Role

As a Senior Customer Success Manager, you are a highly experienced advisor helping customers navigate their most complex journeys on MongoDB. You’ll be responsible for maximizing customer lifetime value and success for a portfolio of Enterprise (G2000) accounts, acting as a lead strategic connector between your customers and cross-functional resources to achieve high-stakes business goals. You’ll drive customer retention, revenue realization, and long-term advocacy while mentoring team members to elevate the organization's collective impact. You’ll build deep relationships with senior stakeholders, understand intricate technical environments inside and out, and navigate global account teams to deliver measurable impact in high-pressure scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Advisory

• Proactively identify and mitigate risks in accounts with significant technical complexity by advising on advanced operational strategies and best practices. Deliver cross-disciplinary solutions to critical customer challenges, accelerating time-to-value and guiding to achieve their business goals through their MongoDB deployments.
• Conduct comprehensive customer business reviews for Enterprise accounts, analyzing technical health and risk while translating insights into business-critical outcomes. Partner with senior technical and business leaders to align on objectives and champion mutual success plans that foster long-term advocacy.

Account & Portfolio Management

• Drive cross-functional development of account strategy and take ownership of elements that drive customer maturity, lifetime value, retention, and revenue realization. Proactively manage a diverse portfolio of Enterprise customers across various stages of the journey, creating and executing strategies to maximize value realization, advocacy, and long-term success.
• Track and report progress against key business outcomes, demonstrate control of the forecast by providing informed predictions to senior leadership for business predictability, and identify new opportunities to expand customer impact by collaborating with presales teams.
• Maintain meticulous hygiene in internal systems to ensure a single source of truth for customer insights and accurate territory analysis. Leverage AI fluency to enhance customer engagement processes, driving efficiency and productivity in delivering technical solutions.

Internal Collaboration & Customer Advocacy

• Amplify the voice of the customer within MongoDB, leveraging technical insights and customer perspectives to influence MongoDB’s product roadmap and coordinate across Sales, Product, Services, and Support to drive long-term health and value realization.
• Connect customers with the right internal resources, including Executive Sponsor engagement, while contributing to regional and global best practices to strengthen team success and act as a force multiplier for the organization.

What You Will Bring

• Relevant Experience: 7 to 10+ years in a technical customer-facing role (e.g., Technical Customer Success, Solutions Architecture/Engineering, Professional Services/Implementation, Technical Account Management) for a deeply technical, ideally consumption-based, product.
• Accountability: 4+ years experience being accountable for customer health and revenue realization for Enterprise customers.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to influence technical and business outcomes and solve complex problems across varying audience types from Developers to C-suite.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent technical work experience.

The Team

This role can sit in our NYC HQ on a hybrid basis, or it can be fully remote while working from a location based in either Eastern or Central time zones. We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer for our SRE, Atlas team to support, maintain and grow the Atlas platform. As a senior SRE, you will be expected to be able to design & build complex systems, operate with autonomy and act as owner for everything you do. 

The SRE Atlas team works alongside the various Atlas software engineering teams to provide expertise about running systems at scale, build new tooling and automation and perform essential maintenance of the Atlas fleet. 

This is an SRE team, which means you can expect a highly hands-on approach, tackling the technical challenges of implementing large scale solutions that have the ability to impact our customer’s most crucial workloads. 

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong infrastructure background. This role requires engineers to have a customer-first mindset to ensure that everything we do results in a stronger product and a better experience for all Atlas customers. 

The ideal candidate should

• Have 5+ years of experience running critical systems at scale
• Value efficiency in processes and operations, and display a preference for automation over manual processes (“allergic to ops work”)
• Be familiar with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and possess the ability to build and operate systems in a multi-cloud environment
• A strong understanding of how to run a large scale Linux environment, including low level fundamentals 
• Firm grasp of at least one modern programming language, beyond basic scripting (Go, Ruby, Python)
• Solid understanding of web and network protocols and standards (HTTP, TLS, DNS, etc)
