About the organization

Stripe’s SMB Solutions Architecture (SA) team works with technical and business leaders (CTO/ CIO/ CEO/ Founders etc.), payments leaders and product engineering teams in the SMB segment to evangelize Stripe’s solutions in the market. Responsibilities

Who you are

An ideal candidate should have experience working for medium to large software companies (preferably in In payment-tech), focused on identifying business priorities, technology strategy, and solution design.

They will have demonstrated the ability to become a trusted advisor to senior executives and facilitate customer success including business value identification(discovery/ demo cycles), road mapping, as well as advising and defining successful execution strategies.

Ideal candidates have external customer-facing experience, have payment expertise (preferred but not required) who can present and architect Stripe’s solutions, and persuade decision makers to leverage Stripe technology to drive business value. Candidates have previous experience in web architecture, enterprise architecture or experience defining and optimizing financial business processes.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role will be $210,000.00 - $230,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 15%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).

Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 23 days per year plus seven paid holidays.

The annual base salary range for this position is $100k to $175k depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Field Service Engineer – RUPS Systems will specialize in rotary UPS power system distribution builds, mechanical and generator integration, system integration, start-ups, and preventative maintenance programs. This role requires advanced technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, leadership skills, and hands-on field experience with both electrical control systems and rotating equipment such as generators and flywheels. Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to delivering high-performance power solutions in data centers, hospitals, industrial facilities, and utility-scale environments are essential.

This is not a typical UPS engineer or technician role. In fact, a strong background in traditional static UPS systems may not be advantageous for this position. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience with mechanical systems, generators, and rotary equipment, and be comfortable commissioning complex power systems in the field. You will act as the front-line expert for bringing large-scale RUPS systems online, resolving technical issues, and training others. This role will also provide technical software and hardware troubleshooting support to the IEM customer base on-site throughout North America while performing start-ups, retrofits, or preventative maintenance. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional IEM teams to integrate current and new technologies, commission complex generator and RUPS systems, optimize existing power infrastructure, and ensure seamless operation across our power products as defined by the customer's RUPS design and sequence of operations (SOO). This role will serve as the point of contact for all field service personnel related to RUPS startup, generator support, preventative maintenance, 24-hour emergency response, and remote technical assistance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and perform on-site startup, commissioning, and preventative maintenance of RUPS systems, including generator integration, flywheel validation, and facility electrical infrastructure.
• Perform functional testing, load bank testing, system synchronization, and complete system validation to ensure all components meet performance specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues related to generators, flywheels, switchgear, control systems, fuel systems, and coupling assemblies.

• Follows a scientific step-by-step process to troubleshoot equipment issues. Captures data and troubleshooting steps concisely and accurately to facilitate effective communication to internal and external parties.
• Works directly with 3^rd party equipment vendors and customers to help resolve re-occurring issues with vendor equipment within IEM’s integrated RUPS systems.
• Perform functional tests, load tests, synchronization, and RUPS system validation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues related to generators, flywheels, switchgear and related control systems.
• Interface with clients, contractors and internal IEM teams during commissioning and acceptance testing.
• Ensure all startup and commissioning documentation, test reports, onsite daily reports and required customer records are completed, submitted accurately and on time.
• Provide technical support and guidance during new installations and system upgrades.
• Train Field Service junior technicians on proper startup, commissioning procedures, troubleshooting protocols, preventative maintenance and how to operate the equipment safely. 
• Maintain compliance with all industry and company safety standards, company procedures and client specific safety protocols. 
• Communicate with Product Engineering and Design Teams with regards to important product bulletins that would affect service, software upgrades, product upgrades or maintenance factors.
• Travel to customer sites to lead commissioning activities with junior techs/engineers or complete commissioning independently.
• As required, travel to the manufacturing or field service offices of IEM to participate in or lead training exercises, and to participate in factory witness/shop testing.
• Assists with project start-up and resolving punch list items found at the jobsite.  Work with the customer site superintendents or project managers to update punch lists and ensure jobs are closed out correctly.
• Provide detailed field trip reports that list the issues found onsite to the IEM manufacturing facilities regarding whether quality control standards are upheld to project design criteria and product specifications.   Works with production, service and engineering teams to help resolve any deficiencies that are found.
• Work with the Field Service Leads in scheduling additional field resources and/or teams to cover service needs.
• Proven ability to manage complex power distribution projects, obtains great technical aptitude and has good communication skills. 
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor.

Power System Integration:

• Lead and support field integration of new RUPS and generator technologies with existing infrastructure, ensuring system compatibility and optimal performance.

System Optimization:

•  Analyze system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability and scalability of existing power systems on customer sites.  

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Proficiency in Power/automation programming languages and ladder logic (IEC, Python, Java, SQL, HTML)
• Strong hands-on experience with rotating equipment, diesel generator systems, and mechanical diagnostics.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, including relay testing, load bank setup, and flywheel system commissioning.
• Experience with load bank testing, grounding systems and protective relay testing.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Proficiency with diagnostic and testing tools - (oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, etc.)
• Experience and proficient with industrial power system controls and monitoring technologies.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex power systems with field service personnel remotely or in person to resolve technical issues on a customer site.

As an Application Support Engineer on the Unified Platform Support team, you'll be part of a tight knit and expanding team of support analysts at a top tier proprietary trading firm. The goal is to provide a scalable, in-house reporting solution that improves usability, efficiency, and long-term maintainability.

We will provide the business context and technical guidance needed to succeed, while giving you meaningful ownership over a production-facing system used by Accounting and Settlement teams.

The base salary for this role is anticipated to be between $150,000 and $300,000, which is based on information at the time of posting. This position may also be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as a discretionary bonus, and benefits. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their unique skills, qualifications and relevant experience.

The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced software engineer to join our specialized TAPE team within the Post Trade Technology group. Our team owns and operates the firm's critical trade and positions system, delivering real-time risk awareness and seamless integration across every trading desk in the organization.  As a key contributor to TAPE - our next-generation based platform engineered for enhanced scalability, volume capacity, and support for sophisticated trading strategies - you will drive the modernization of our core infrastructure. This role presents an exciting opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges in distributed architecture, high-throughput processing, and low latency systems while collaborating closely with both your immediate TAPE team members and the broader Post Trade Technology organization. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of our trade processing capabilities, working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and critical financial operations that power our firm's trading activities

What you'll do

• Architect, develop and maintain resilient Java services to power TAPE's critical post-trade processing workflows, including trade capture, position aggregation
• Engineer highly scalable distributed systems capable of processing millions of daily trades across multiple asset classes, optimizing for low latency in position updates while maintaining data consistency.
• Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders within the Post Trade Technology team to ensure seamless integration and alignment with broader post-trade processing initiatives and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including traders, quant developers, and other technical groups—to design, build, and enhance client APIs in Java, C++, and Python.
• Contribute to building and refining user interfaces using Angular, ensuring seamless integration with underlying APIs.
• Leverage distributed caching solutions (e.g., Hazelcast, Oracle Coherence, or Redis) and container orchestration with Kubernetes to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Drive technical innovation by evaluating and integrating emerging technologies, architectural patterns, and industry best practices to enhance system resilience, processing throughput, and operational efficiency.
• Proactively monitor system health, diagnose performance bottlenecks, resolve production incidents, and maintain detailed technical documentation to support 24/7 operations and regulatory compliance requirements

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience in developing Java-based applications and services, preferably in a high-volume, low-latency environment.
• Proficiency in building and integrating APIs using Java, C++, and Python.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and caching solutions (e.g., Hazelcast, Oracle Coherence, Redis).
• Exposure to trading systems and capital markets with an understanding of how real-time risk management and trade processing systems operate.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling complex technical challenges within a collaborative team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with post-trade processing systems including trade capture, position management, settlement workflows, and real-time risk calculations in capital markets environments.
• Understanding of trade lifecycle events, reconciliation processes, and the integration points between front-office trading systems and back-office settlement operations.
• Experience working on critical trading systems or financial applications.
• Additional certifications or training in cloud architecture, containerization, or financial markets technology.
• Experience deploying and managing applications using Kubernetes.

WHO YOU ARE

• You have 4-6+ years technical experience as well as 2+ years customer-facing, preferably in a consultative role

• You have 4+ years of experience working with SaaS and Cloud technologies

• You work well with a team and ready to engage with customers when called upon to provide prescriptive approaches to solving problems

• You enjoy working in a dynamic environment where ambiguity is common and can effectively speak to both technical and non-technical parties

• You are comfortable working with one or more of the following: Python, Java, C#, Ruby, or .NET

• You understand the application development lifecycle, RESTful API design concepts, and have done a fair amount of scripting against APIs

Preferred skills

• Familiarity with OAuth, SAML, OpenID, Active Directory and/or Single Sign-on standards

• Developed an application

• Exposed to or have some experience with DBA and/or ETL

• Experience leveraging AI tools and capabilities to design, implement, and optimize solutions with one or more AI models and/or AI agents

• Provided advisory services on any of the following: AI-enabled workflows, AI-powered automation, or AI best practices

• Performed enterprise grade data / content migrations

• Experience with information security 

• Familiarity with iOS and/or Android mobile platforms
