We are seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Engineer to join the Roku APPS team and help shape our large-scale, consumer-facing platform. For California Only - The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $250,000 - $280,000 annually. In this role, you will lead the architecture and implementation of a highly available, fault‑tolerant, and performant subscriptions platform that scales to billions of viewers across AWS/GCP, owning key initiatives end‑to‑end while coding roughly 80% of the time. You’ll evaluate and adopt new technologies, design shared architectural layers (queuing, event systems, shared memory), and collaborate across Product, Engineering, QA, and Ops to deliver resilient services spanning streaming, APIs, notifications, and batch workloads. The Consumer Apps team is responsible for Roku’s core user-facing applications across streaming and utility experiences, including The Roku Channel and the Roku Mobile App. We deliver The Roku Channel across Roku devices and off-platform environments (including web and third-party connected TV platforms), and we build mobile experiences that help customers discover, stream, and engage with the Roku ecosystem at scale. We partner closely with Engineering, UX, Content, Data, and Business teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality experiences that drive engagement and growth.
As a Senior Program Manager, The Roku Channel (Cross-Platform), you will drive execution for The Roku Channel across Roku OS, web, third-party connected TV platforms, and mobile/tablet experiences. You’ll be the operational leader who turns strategy into predictable delivery, aligning teams, managing dependencies, establishing program cadence, and ensuring launch readiness across a complex set of stakeholders.
In this role, you’ll lead two core pillars:
The Roku Channel requires coordination across client teams (Product, Engineering, UX, QA, Data/Analytics) and contributing organizations (including personalization/recommendations and content strategy/operations). We are looking for a Director of AI Strategy - Engineering Productivity to join our Engineering Operations team. This is a hybrid role based out of our San Jose, CA office (3 days a week in office), reporting to the Senior Director, Technical Program Management, Zero Trust Exchange. In this role, you will define and champion the company's AI strategy for engineering productivity by evaluating, securing, and integrating AI-driven developer tools and CI/CD pipeline enhancements. You will drive widespread engineering efficiency by replacing fragmented team practices with a unified enterprise governance model, measurable business metrics, and a structured budget for AI adoption.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
US Citizenship Required with 5+ years of Software Development or Quality Assurance experience, specifically within networking and security environments
Strong expertise in cloud-hosted applications, database operations, API testing, microservices architecture, and automation scripting using Python
Proficiency in L4-L7 Internet and Security networking protocols including TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, and HTTP/HTTPS

As the gatekeeper of IP Management, Methodology and Quality at Astera Labs, you will lead the strategic development of our AI-powered IP Lifecycle Management and IP Quality Assurance Platform. You won't just run tools; you will architect a scalable, user-friendly system that serves as the foundation for our "AI-first" IP ecosystem. Your mission is to ensure every IP, whether internal or external is easily accessible, physically, logically, and structurally "SOC-ready," preventing late-stage integration breaks that delay tape-outs. The candidate will be responsible for developing the platform, auditing and qualifying internal and external IP (Hard/Soft Macros, PHYs, Memories and standard cells libraries among other IPs). The IPLM and IPQA tools will scale to cover SOC QA and be a key element of the tape out sign-out requirements. The successful candidate will have the right expertise to run all EDA tools, understand the results, challenge the false pass scenarios, and dig into the root cause of real errors. They will work with the vendors or with our internal IP teams to solve the issues.
They will be responsible for ensuring that all IP deliveries are integrable, timing-clean, and manufacturable, preventing "late-stage" SOC breaks caused by inconsistent IP views or structural violations. IPQA will cover all aspects of the design flow starting from Architecture coherence, PPA evaluation, Front-End integration, SDC, RDC, DFT, PD and PDV, Packaging, ESD, Waivers, IP-XACT; and be scalable from the technology foundations, FinFet and Gate-All-Around transistors’ properties, DK/PDK integrity and rule decks from foundries, Standard Cells, Memories, IP, Subsystems and SOC Quality.
