JOB SUMMARY 

We are seeking a Spacecraft Vehicle Manufacturing Engineer to support spacecraft Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) for Momentus satellite bus programs with hosted payloads supporting commercial, scientific, and government missions.  

This role is responsible for developing and sustaining end-to-end spacecraft manufacturing processes, including build sequences, tooling strategies, MGSE, and production methodologies. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, operates with a high degree of ownership, and bridges design, manufacturing, test, and quality to ensure scalable, compliant, and efficient spacecraft production. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop, own, and maintain spacecraft-level manufacturing plans, including AI&T build sequences, work instructions, travelers, and standard work 
• Define and implement production methodologies, tooling strategies, and MGSE, including fixture/tool design, validation, and lifecycle management 
• Design assembly fixtures, mechanisms, and production support equipment using CAD; generate drawings and manage fabrication through vendors 
• Propose and optimize sequence of operations, integration flow, and installation processes to maximize efficiency and minimize risk 
• Perform DFM/DFA analysis, tolerance stack-ups, and manufacturability assessments to ensure design compatibility with production constraints 
• Apply GD&T principles, tolerance analysis, and advanced metrology techniques to ensure compliance to engineering specifications 
• Support and/or oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) activities (ultrasonic, radiographic/X-ray, etc.) and ensure proper interpretation of results 
• Lead Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRR) and ensure production system readiness for spacecraft builds 
• Investigate and resolve technical, operational, and quality issues using structured root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies 
• Interface with Production, Design Engineering, Test, Quality, EH&S, and Supply Chain to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution 
• Support Test Operations by ensuring hardware readiness, configuration control, and manufacturability alignment 
• Ensure configuration control, traceability, and documentation integrity across all manufacturing processes and hardware 
• Mentor engineers and technicians and drive best practices for scalable spacecraft production 
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and technical reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, LRR) to ensure alignment between design and manufacturing 

Required Skills and Experience 

• 10–15 years of experience in aerospace or space manufacturing, spacecraft AI&T, or complex electromechanical system integration 
• Strong expertise in manufacturing process development, including work instructions, routing, build sequencing, and production flow optimization 
• Proven experience with tooling and fixture design, including CAD modeling, drawing release, and vendor fabrication support 
• Deep knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and precision measurement techniques

• Contribute to process development, continuous improvement, and flight-readiness maturation for mechanical and propulsion subsystems.

• Hands-on experience with propulsion system build-up and testing, including fluid systems, heaters, wiring/sensors, or valve integration.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an Electrical Technician to support spacecraft assembly, integration, and test activities across electrical systems and avionics hardware for Momentus satellite platforms and in-space transportation systems.  

Key Responsibilities: 

Assembly, Integration & Build 

• Assemble spacecraft avionics hardware, including PCBA, wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical subassemblies from engineering drawings and work instructions  
• Fabricate flight and test (EGSE) harnesses including crimping, stripping, soldering, shielding (foil/braid), and connectorization  
• Integrate avionics systems into spacecraft buses and support installation at subsystem and system level  

PCB Assembly & Rework 

• Perform surface-mount (SMT), fine-pitch, and through-hole soldering and rework to IPC standards  
• Execute PCB modifications (component replacement, cut-and-jump, trace repair, conformal coating touch-up)  
• Inspect PCBAs using microscopes and verify workmanship against applicable standards  

Test & Troubleshooting 

• Perform electrical testing including continuity, resistance, voltage/current measurements, and signal verification  
• Operate lab/test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data acquisition systems  
• Troubleshoot hardware issues at board, harness, and system level; support root cause and corrective actions  

Inspection & Quality 

• Inspect incoming and in-process hardware (PCBs, harnesses, connectors) for compliance with drawings and standards  
• Verify connector pinouts, cable continuity, and system functionality  
• Support non-conformance resolution and collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams  

Test Operations & Environmental Support 

• Support spacecraft test campaigns including functional test, thermal vacuum (TVAC), vibration, and system validation

• Monitor and document test results and anomalies  

Documentation & Process Improvement

This role supports both mechanical and electro-mechanical (avionics-adjacent) work, including hardware integration, harness routing, equipment installation, and system-level testing. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys working on complex, high-reliability aerospace systems. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Assembly & Integration (Mechanical + Avionics Support) 

• Assemble and integrate spacecraft hardware including:  
• Structural components, mechanisms, brackets, panels, and deployables  
• Avionics enclosures, electronic boxes, sensors, and mounting hardware  
• Harnesses, connectors, coax cables, and cable management systems  
• Perform precision mechanical assembly using hand tools, torque tools, fixtures, and specialized equipment  
• Assembly, manufacture, test, and rework non-flight and spacecraft harness to specifications, schematics and work instructions by cutting, stripping, crimping, and soldering while also being able to hi-pot and electrically test validity of harness. 
• Support harness installation, routing, lacing/tying, connector mating, and basic electrical/mechanical interface work  
• Perform precision tube/line fabrication and installation where required (e.g., fluid or thermal systems)  
• Precision drilling, heli-coil install, and tap/die capabilities per specifications and assembly drawings.  
• Execute spacecraft lifting, handling, and integration operations using cranes, lifts, and handling fixtures 

Test & Validation 

• Support spacecraft and subsystem testing, including:  
• Functional testing (power, telemetry, command, RF, mechanical actuation systems)  
• Environmental testing (thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, burn-in)  
• Pressure and leak testing where applicable  
• Set up, operate, and monitor test equipment (DAQ systems, pressure systems, multimeters, oscilloscopes, vacuum systems)  
• Assist with instrumentation, sensor installation, and test configuration setup 

Troubleshooting & Rework 

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electro-mechanical, and system-level issues during assembly and test 
• Perform rework, repair, and modification of hardware per approved procedures

Manufacturing & Process Support 

• Support development and improvement of build processes, tooling, and fixtures  
• Build and modify basic fixtures, test aids, and ground support equipment (GSE)

Inspection & Documentation 

• Perform in-process and final inspections using metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

JOB SUMMARY 

We are seeking a Chief Engineer to play a pivotal role in leading the design, analysis, development, integration, and launch of our space vehicles. You will be working closely with a functional engineering team to allow us to meet our objectives and achieve mission success.  You will be responsible for overseeing the technical strategy, execution, and delivery of these systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• As the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the technical integrity and technical baseline for Momentus. 

• Act as the independent technical authority for providing assessments of requirements, design, risks, and schedule with the Program Managers and product owners. 

• Identify gaps between requirements, design, manufacturing, operations and facility solutions with project teams on practical solutions across the life cycle. 

• Assess and disposition aggregate technical risks across programs and technology development projects. 

• Assess and approve technical completion and compliance at major program and element technical reviews. 

• You will provide engineering leadership and mentoring to coordinate design, analysis, and systems engineering processes throughout development, verification, delivery and operation. 

• Provide independent review of corrective actions for major failures at the program/product level and work with functional managers in addressing systemic issues. 

• Collaborate with program and company leadership to define and assess technology road-map alignment product needs and industry developments. 

• Ensure that engineering and manufacturing processes are in place, adequate and utilized appropriately.  

• Collaborate with other members to assess and implement engineering process health and compliance with standards for product / program. Represent the Company and project with key customers and partners. 

• Focusing horizontally on resolving high-level Systems challenges 

• Ensuring execution of overall technical plan within the Integrated Master Schedule 

• Responsible for ensuring program technical excellence as commensurate with program scope, customer expectations and company interest 

• Through program gate reviews, oversee technical aspects of projects ensuring appropriate design, analysis and testing is conducted 

• Review designs for cost, manufacturing, and quality assurance 

• Provide customer facing technical leadership and guidance 

Engineering Operational 

• Define and maintain system requirements for flight spacecraft hardware and software   

• Perform trade studies and analyses for spacecraft hardware selection   

• Support verification of system and subsystem requirements  

• Lead system design reviews and support program technical reviews  

• Manage spacecraft harnessing and interface design   

• Support regulatory and customer payload technical exchanges   

• Support AI&T planning and execution for flight spacecraft and subsystems   

• Create test plans and procedures to validate spacecraft and subsystem performance   

• Develop and maintain risk mitigation strategies  

• Support non-conformance and issue tracking for spacecraft hardware  

• Support on-orbit operations and flight anomaly resolution activities 
• Provide guidance, mentorship and leadership to all levels of engineers   

Required Skills and Experience 

• Knowledge of Vehicle Product development designs including structures; guidance, navigation, software, propulsion, electronics/payloads, communications, materials, subsystems, and Integration and Testing 

• Knowledge in the development of high-fidelity aerospace vehicle control and dynamics, vehicle structural dynamics, and accuracy simulations and performance assessment (including propulsion, steering and control, and accuracy) 

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities 

• Ability to collaborate and achieve consensus when dealing with groups from diverse organizations and backgrounds 

• Experience integrating multiple engineering specialties and stakeholders across multiple Integrated Product Teams and Suppliers 

• Experience leading design, production, and integration of complex systems 

• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience 

• Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)

• Design Engineering/Computer-aided Design (CAD) experience and engineering releases utilizing Product Lifecycle Management tools

• SME experience and knowledge in principles of MBSE (Model Based System Engineering) 

• Experience with industry program management processes including CCB, ERB, EVMS, and Risk Management

• BS, MS, and/or Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline

Compensation: 

Annual Base Salary Range: $250,000 - $300,000/per year

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an Electrical Avionics Engineer to design, build, test, and fly a variety of avionics units to support Momentus vehicles. This includes high-performance, low cost, and low-mass flight computers, cameras, and power systems. The ideal candidate should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on challenging problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop avionics units in one or more of the following areas: 
  • Flight computer, data handling, and payload interface systems 
  • Power converters and power distribution systems 
  • Attitude determination sensors and cameras 
  • Radio communication systems 
  • High power microwave amplifiers
• Perform PCB schematic capture and layout 
• Perform detailed technical review of electronics design and PCB layouts
• Assist in developing test plans for flight qualification of avionics (TVAC, vibe, thermal, radiation, EMC/EMI, etc.)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer 
• Experience designing electronics for the space environment (LEO, GEO and deep space) including radiation, thermal, and vibe
• Experience defining spacecraft avionics architectures and developing associated budgets
• Experience performing radiation test campaigns
• Familiarity with embedded software development
• Deep technical expertise in at least one of the following areas: 
  • High-speed digital design: FPGAs, microprocessors, high speed memory, high speed communication buses

We are seeking a Department of War (DoW) Business Development Director to lead the sales capture efforts. The ideal candidate should be accustomed to DoW sales capture process, working in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working on new space technologies. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and implement capture management strategies for U.S. Government (USG) programs 
• Generate Department of War (DoW) based pipeline through early shaping and acquisition strategy 
• Define USG-based growth targets and execute same 
• Lead development and writing of comprehensive proposals, responses to USG solicitations, and presentations to USG customers 
• Assess competitor capabilities and offerings to understand the competitiveness of Momentus market position and offerings.  Generate compelling win strategies/themes 
• Support the creation of various metrics and dashboards leveraging company CRM tools 

Required Skills and Experience 

• Background in Space Related Technologies (In-Space Transport, Spacecraft design, Propulsion, etc.) 
• Experience leading campaigns as Business Development Lead or Capture Manager, or experienced in a USG space acquisition organization 
• Established Department of War (DoW), Pentagon, and/or inter-agency relationships. Examples US Space Force, NRO, MDA, etc. 
• USG contracting experience:  knowledge of contract management, source selection processes, and competitive proposal evaluations 
• Persuasive and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders 
• Excellent organizational skills for tracking customers, leading complex proposal efforts, and meeting aggressive proposal deadlines 
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
