Calm uses a geographic pay model that determines salaries based on the location where an employee lives. For this position, the base pay ranges across Calm’s pay tiers is as follows: $104,700 - $150,000. The base pay range represents the low and high end of Calm’s salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. Calm uses employee zip code to determine which pay range applies. This role is also eligible for equity + comprehensive benefits + 401k + flexible time off.

As a Senior Art Director, you'll be a hands-on creative force within a multidisciplinary team led by the Group Creative Director. You’ll help bring big ideas to life, executing standout work across digital, social, and video with a sharp eye for craft, storytelling, and design excellence.
This role sits in the details — designing, building, and refining creative assets — while contributing to broader campaign narratives and visual systems. You’ll collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Designers, Copywriters, Producers, and Strategists to deliver work that feels native to the platform, on-brand for a major client (one of the world’s leading e-commerce and technology platforms), and scalable across markets.
We’re looking for a Senior Art Director who is fluent in digital design, strong in visual storytelling, and comfortable creating high-quality work at speed. You’ll bring both conceptual thinking and pixel-perfect execution, along with AI fluency to help evolve and activate an established brand system across multiple sub-brands and channels.
This is not a role focused on building new brands from scratch. It’s about taking an existing brand system and bringing it to life — pushing it forward thoughtfully, expressing it with clarity and consistency, and elevating the work at scale. You’ll operate within a complex, multi-brand ecosystem, creating concepts, visual systems, and executions that feel fresh while remaining unmistakably on-brand.
