1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but most providers don't accept insurance, making therapy too expensive for most people. Headway’s mission is to fix this by building a new mental healthcare system everyone can access. We started by solving the biggest barrier to care: insurance. The admin work - credentialing, claims, payment reconciliation - is a nightmare. We've automated that.
But we're going further. Over 70,000 providers across all 50 states run their practice on our software, serving over 1 million patients. We are building the best tools for therapists to run their entire practice, reimagining the experience of finding a therapist, and investing in the platform foundations to enable this at scale. We aren't just a billing layer; we are becoming the platform where care actually happens.
We're a Series D company with $325M+ in funding (a16z, Accel, GV, etc.), looking for exceptional people to help us achieve this mission. We want your time here to be the most meaningful experience of your career. Join us, and help change mental healthcare for the better.
At Headway, we’re building the largest national network of therapists who accept insurance — and making mental healthcare radically more accessible in the process. Our ability to serve patients starts with providers. As Staff Researcher for Provider Growth, you’ll lead research to inform the product vision, strategy, and execution for how we attract, onboard, and activate providers on Headway.
In this role, you will be a strategic partner, utilizing a mixed-methods approach to uncover critical insights about our Providers. You will conduct research to inform business, product, and marketing strategies, helping us identify and unlock significant growth and differentiated product opportunities. You’ll be responsible for foundational insights and developing a nuanced understanding of diverse provider segments—practice starters vs. veterans, therapists vs. prescribers, solo vs. group practices—each with different needs, painpoints, and behaviors. You’ll share insights and make recommendations about when to personalize and when to unify, helping the team build solutions that flex to serve unique segment needs while maintaining a coherent, unified Headway experience. You'll operate with high autonomy and ownership, presenting regularly to executive leadership including our CEO and making bold recommendations backed by clear, evidence-driven rationale.
Provider growth is one of Headway’s most important levers for scaling access to affordable mental healthcare. Whether it's building a world-class referrals engine, optimizing conversion through onboarding, or laying the groundwork for future market expansion, this role is at the heart of Headway’s growth story — and critical to advancing our mission. This is a pivotal role for both Headway and our mission to make mental healthcare more accessible.
The expected base pay range for this position is $212,000 - $265,000, based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an equity grant, depending on the position and level.
We are committed to offering a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package, including robust health and wellness benefits, retirement savings, and meaningful ownership opportunities through equity. Compensation decisions are made holistically, ensuring fairness and alignment with market benchmarks while recognizing individual contributions and potential.
We believe a team's strength is in its people, and we cannot achieve this mission without a team that reflects the diversity of this problem – across race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, age, national origin, religion, family status, disability, military status, and experience. Headway is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals. As part of this commitment, Headway will ensure that persons with disabilities are provided with reasonable accommodations. If reasonable accommodation is needed to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and/or receive other benefits and privileges of employment, please inform the recruiter when they contact you to schedule your interview.

Samaya builds Expert AI Agents that turn information from the global financial market into investment conviction.
The global financial market is the largest and most valuable information ecosystem in the world, connecting billions of people, influencing every type of productive human activity, and driving tens of trillions of dollars of value. At its core is investment decision-making: identifying areas of productive activity, allocating resources, carried out by millions of people across the globe.
But that process is at a breaking point. The past two decades have brought an exponential increase in market complexity: more information sources, more asset types, more disruptive themes like AI reshaping every corner of the market. For investors, this means exponentially more depth, breadth, and speed required on every decision.
The response is a forced tradeoff: zoom in on a sector or basket of companies and manage the flood, but lose sight of adjacent dynamics that move markets. Or zoom out to track broad themes, but lose the needle-in-a-haystack details that drive precise decisions. No market sector evolves in isolation, and this lack of a simultaneously zoomed-in and zoomed-out picture costs hundreds of billions in missed or suboptimal investment decisions every year.
Samaya was founded to reimagine investment decision-making across the global financial market. General-purpose AI can’t reason about cause and effect across complex economic systems, embed firm-specific context, or execute reliably over long-horizon workflows. We built something different: a purpose-built AI system combining proprietary financial reasoning models, a long-horizon execution engine with persistent memory, and full auditability. Built by a team from Google DeepMind, Meta, Microsoft, and Stanford with 100+ papers and 50k+ citations, it achieves 98% accuracy on financial reasoning tasks where generic LLMs reach 53%. The result is AI that learns how each investor thinks and seamlessly takes them from information to conviction.
Our user base has scaled to 10,000+, with partnerships spanning top financial institutions worldwide, including Morgan Stanley. We’re backed by $43.5M in Series A funding led by NEA, with investors including Eric Schmidt, NVIDIA, Databricks, Yann LeCun, Jeff Dean, Marty Chavez, and Mark Cuban.
Put Users first. Our users rely on us to do their jobs. We exist because our users trust us to help them achieve their goals. In return for this trust users place in us, we keep their needs as our top priority.
Win as a collective. We are high achievers with a drive to succeed. We build strong bonds over this shared drive. We dive in to help when one of us needs it. We’re kind to each other and boost each other to succeed and grow professionally and personally. We build trust with each other by making commitments and consistently delivering on them. This trust means we genuinely support each other, embracing feedback as a tool for growth and improvement. We win by operating this way, as one team.
Focus and iterate quickly. Bias for action makes us build and learn quickly. Iterating fast requires clarity on what outcomes we are targeting and why. Prioritizing the important things, taking full ownership and initiative, making fast initial progress, and rapid iterations lead to the best outcomes.
Innovate Relentlessly. We pursue novel insights, challenging the status quo and reimagining how things are done. We aren’t attached to the past when improving our product and how we work in the future. We actively invest time in innovation, thinking “outside the box” to consistently raise our standards.
Prioritize Outcomes over Egos. We are committed not to a person, an idea, or an opinion but to continuously making progress to our goals. Sometimes, our goals are ambiguous; in those moments, we iterate, learn, and move on to the next inquiry. We ask the tough questions with kindness, dropping our egos in our pursuit of evidence. For our business goals, we learn from our users. For our scientific goals, our understanding is built through rigorous experimentation, research, and observation. For our personal goals, we embrace candid feedback and collaborative learning to guide our progress.

Bessemer Venture Partners is a global venture firm that partners with audacious founders building enduring and transformative businesses. With more than 145 IPOs and 300 portfolio companies across AI, health, consumer, enterprise, and frontier tech, Bessemer supports founders and CEOs from their early days through every stage of growth. Bessemer’s global portfolio includes Anthropic, Perplexity, Abridge, Canva, Pinterest, Shopify, Twilio, Yelp, LinkedIn, PagerDuty, Discord, Fal AI, Stubhub, and Toast and has $20 billion of assets under management.
We're hiring an Associate to join our investing team, focusing on early-stage opportunities across data infrastructure, AI infrastructure, and developer tools. You will work directly with Lauri Moore and collaborate with the broader Bessemer investment team to find and back the technical founders building the foundational layers of the next era of software.
Seed investing is a ground game. The most compelling opportunities at the earliest stages don't come from inbound decks — they come from being deeply embedded in the communities where builders and researchers spend their time. We're looking for someone who is energized by that work: showing up to meetups and happy hours, staying close to technical friends across the ecosystem, and building the kind of authentic relationships that mean founders call you first.
This is a role for someone who thinks independently, acts with urgency, and brings a point of view. Seed requires an optimist — you need to see what a company could become, not just what it is today. But conviction without rigor is just enthusiasm. You also need to dig deep, ask hard questions, and build a thesis before we commit capital.
You don't need an investing background. We'll teach you that. What you do need is a strong technical foundation, curiosity, and the kind of social instincts that make people want to spend time with you.

Artificial Intelligence could be one of humanity’s most useful inventions. At Google DeepMind, we’re a team of scientists, engineers, machine learning experts and more, working together to advance the state of the art in artificial intelligence. We use our technologies for widespread public benefit and scientific discovery, and collaborate with others on critical challenges, ensuring safety and ethics are the highest priority.
Our team identifies, assesses, and mitigates potential catastrophic risks from current and future AI systems. As a member of technical staff, you will design, implement, and empirically validate approaches to assessing and managing catastrophic risk from current and future frontier AI systems. At the moment, these risks range from loss of control of advanced AI systems or automated ML R&D through misuse of AI for widespread CBRN or cyber harm.
The Risk Assessment team measures and assesses the possible risks posed by frontier systems, making sure that GDM knows the capabilities and propensities of frontier models so that adequate mitigations are in place. We also make sure that the mitigations do enough to manage the risks.
But the risks posed by frontier systems are, themselves, unclear. Forecasting the possible risk pathways is challenging, as is designing and implementing sensors that could reliably detect emerging risks before we actually have real-world examples. We focus on building decision-relevant and trustworthy evaluation systems that prioritise compute and effort on risk measurements with the highest value of information. We then need to be able to assess the extent to which proposed and implemented mitigations actually cover the identified risks, and to measure how successfully they generalize to novel settings.
The Risk Assessment team is part of Frontier Safety which is responsible for measuring and managing severe potential risks from current and next-generation Frontier models. Our approach is one of adaptively scaling risk assessment and mitigation processes to handle the near-future. We are part of GDM’s AGI Safety and Alignment Team, whose other members focus on research aimed at enabling systems further in the future to be aligned and safe. These include interpretability, scalable oversight, control, and incentives.
We are seeking 2 Research Engineers for the Frontier Safety Risk Assessment team within the AGI Safety and Alignment Team.
In this role, you will contribute novel research towards our ability to measure and assess risk from frontier models. This might include:
Your work will involve complex conceptual thinking as well as engineering. You should be comfortable with research that is uncertain, under-constrained, and which does not have an achievable “right answer”. You should also be skilled at engineering, especially using Python, and able to rapidly familiarise yourself with internal and external codebases. Lastly, you should be able to adapt to pragmatic constraints around compute and researcher time that require us to prioritise effort based on the value of information.
Although this job description is written for a Research Engineer, all members of this team are better thought of as members of technical staff. We expect everyone to contribute to the research as well as the engineering and to be strong in both areas.
The role will mostly depend on your general ability to assess and manage future risks, rather than from specialist knowledge within the risk domains, but insofar as specialist knowledge is helpful, knowledge in ML R&D and loss of control as risk domains are likely the most valuable.
In order to set you up for success as a Research Engineer at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:
You have extensive research experience with deep learning and/or foundation models (for example, but not necessarily, a PhD in machine learning).
In addition, any of the following would be an advantage:
At Google DeepMind, we value diversity of experience, knowledge, backgrounds and perspectives and harness these qualities to create extraordinary impact. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, or related condition (including breastfeeding) or any other basis as protected by applicable law. If you have a disability or additional need that requires accommodation, please do not hesitate to let us know.
At Google DeepMind, we want employees and their families to live happier and healthier lives, both in and out of work, and our benefits reflect that. Some select benefits we offer: enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave, private medical and dental insurance for yourself and any dependents, and flexible working options. We strive to continually improve our working environment, and provide you with excellent facilities such as healthy food, an on-site gym, faith rooms, terraces etc.
We are also open to relocating candidates and offer a bespoke service and immigration support to make it as easy as possible (depending on eligibility).
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $136,000 - $245,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
