Visual Product Designer

Role
As a Product Designer at Samaya, you will design and shape the end-to-end user experience of our AI-driven platform. As we scale from tens of thousands of expert users who rely on Samaya daily, your work will be critical in ensuring our product is intuitive, elegant, and deeply aligned with how experts think and work. At Samaya, designers are hands-on builders. You will use AI-native tools (e.g., Cursor) to prototype rapidly, write and edit production-ready HTML/CSS when needed, and collaborate directly in the codebase alongside engineers. We do not operate in a static-spec handoff model - design and implementation are tightly integrated.
Workflow Delivery: You will craft thoughtful, high-quality interfaces for our web applications, translating complex AI capabilities into seamless and delightful user experiences. You’ll work at the intersection of AI, research workflows, and expert knowledge systems.
Design Systems & Foundations: You will help build and evolve our design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and speed as our product surface area grows.
In this role, you will define how experts interact with AI — and help build the design culture and standards that scale with our engineering and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Design high-quality product experiences with a strong emphasis on visual design, ensuring interfaces are highly functional, intuitive and visually polished
- Translate complex AI capabilities and product concepts into simple, user-friendly workflows
- Take ambiguous product problems and turn them into clear, thoughtful design solutions
- Prototype directly in code using Cursor or similar tools, shipping your own front-end explorations, not just Figma mocks
- Partner with ML engineers to translate model capabilities and constraints into effective design decisions
- Ensure consistency and high quality across all user touchpoints
Experience
Required
- 3-5 years experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio demonstrating shipped products
- Proficiency in Figma and modern design tooling
- Experience writing HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript; use of Cursor or similar AI coding tools as part of daily design workflow
- Strong problem-solving ability and high attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Compensation
The cash compensation range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000.

Lead Security Engineer

Role
As the Lead Security Engineer at Samaya, you will build the security foundation that enables us to win and retain the world's most security-conscious financial institutions as customers. We run Python and Kubernetes workloads on GCP that process sensitive financial data at scale — and this is our first dedicated security hire. You'll own everything: building controls, running compliance programs, and representing security externally to enterprise customers.
Security Infrastructure: You will design and implement cloud security controls across our GCP environment — including IAM, KMS/CMEK, DLP, network controls, single-tenant isolation, secrets management, and audit logging. You'll own our security operations stack (SIEM, endpoint, alerting) and vulnerability management program, ensuring our platform meets the standards of the most demanding financial institutions in the world.
Compliance Ownership: You will own our end-to-end compliance programs — SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and what comes next — including evidence collection, auditor management, and our compliance tooling stack. You'll turn compliance findings into engineering work and customer-facing artifacts, maintaining policies and governance docs aligned with standards and regulators.
Customer Trust: You will be Samaya's security face to enterprise customers. You'll support sales and customer success in security conversations with bank and hedge fund InfoSec teams, build scalable processes to handle DDQs and security questionnaires, and translate technical controls into business language that builds trust.
In this role, you will be the sole security owner at a high-growth Series A company.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate security controls across GCP: cloud security posture, DLP, KMS/CMEK, secrets management, single-tenant isolation, IAM, network controls, and audit logging
- Own incident response playbooks, tabletop drills, and cross-team coordination during security incidents
- Run vulnerability management, including scanners and red-team-style assessments
- Define and enforce access controls to production systems, internal tools, and SaaS applications; own the security ops stack (SIEM, endpoint, alerting)
- Own end-to-end compliance: SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and what comes next — including evidence collection, auditor management, and compliance tooling
- Turn compliance findings into engineering work and customer-facing artifacts; maintain policies, governance docs, and alignment with standards and regulators

The Finance AI Architect will bring deep financial domain expertise (investment research, asset management, trading, investment banking, risk, etc.) to advance Samaya’s adoption across key institutions. This role is central in helping customers unlock outcomes/use cases and integrate Samaya’s powerful AI Agents into their workflows.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives and sales leadership to support the full sales cycle — from discovery to closing — by bringing domain expertise, technical fluency, and consultative insight
- Engage senior stakeholders (portfolio managers, heads of research, quant leads, CIOs) in deep conversations about how Samaya can transform current workflows (e.g. due diligence, modeling, sourcing signals, thematic research, scenario analysis)
- Lead tailored demos and workshops in financial workflows (e.g. valuation, deal modeling, stress testing, sector analysis, risk-scenario simulation), validating use cases and aligning to stakeholder pain points
- Serve as a trusted advisor: educate customers on AI’s potential (and limitations) in financial settings, and help them design adoption pathways
- Capture feedback and act as the “Voice of the Customer,” influencing product roadmap, prompt engineering strategies, domain expansions, and sales positioning
- Collaborate with marketing and enablement to produce thought leadership, case studies, and domain-specific collateral that resonates with finance audiences

Experience
Required
- 3+ years of experience in a financial expert role (e.g. investment banking, equity/credit research, asset management, trading desk, quant analytics, portfolio management)
- Deep understanding of financial workflows: modeling, valuation, forecasting, risk management, company analysis, event-driven theme evaluation, etc
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers (C-suite, heads of research, CIOs), especially in finance
- Excellent presentation and communication skills — able to translate AI capabilities into customer vernacular and deliver custom demos
- Ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into concrete technical/AI-enabled solutions
