Our mission is to build a modern ecosystem used for all IONOS customer support needs. The tools developed by us are used in over 20 locations, by more than 2.000 users, supporting 8 million customer contracts in 10 markets.
The development team has full responsibility for the development lifecycle. This means we plan, develop, test and deploy our software without any other internal or external dependencies.
Our portfolio revolves around an internally built CRM which is now being enhanced with AI capabilities.
We are building a next-generation AI platform designed to redefine how our company interacts with customers. This isn't just a chatbot; it's a high-performance, multimodal AI ecosystem powered by state-of-the-art Speech-to-Speech (S2S) models, advanced Large Language Models (LLMs), and intelligent orchestration frameworks. Our platform will understand, reason, and respond across text and voice — while seamlessly executing real-time actions to resolve customer needs.
We are aiming for a hybrid architecture of Open Source LLMs, industry-leading proprietary models, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable contextual reasoning, tool invocation, and seamless orchestration across systems. The goal is not just to talk to the customer, but to act on their needs.
The Voice Frontier: We are building low-latency, emotive speech-to-speech pipelines for a truly natural voice channel experience.
Deep System Integration: Our platform connects directly to the company's core systems via MCPs, allowing the AI to access real-time customer context and execute complex workflows.
Self-Evolving Logic: We are developing an automated QA and evaluation module that continuously analyzes interactions across channels.By programmatically measuring quality, accuracy, latency, and resolution outcomes, we can close the feedback loop, and adapt system behavior in hours, not weeks.
Hybrid Innovation: You’ll work at the intersection of "build vs. buy," integrating the best of the open-source community with custom-built internal infrastructure.
You won't just be shipping code; you’ll be part of making this concept evolve and shift.
You’ll join a friendly, experienced team where your voice matters and your contribution shapes real-world outcomes. You’ll work in a modern environment with technologies and practices that help us ship reliable software efficiently.
As a DevOps Engineer in this team you will build the foundation of our internal AI Customer Care platform. You will be responsible for the "heavy lifting"—designing the distributed systems that power real-time speech-to-speech pipelines, orchestrating agentic workflows via MCP, and ensuring our AI scales without breaking a sweat.

At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started, back in 2000, we have strived to make the strongest, most effective developer tools on earth. By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create.
AI is no longer just an assistant inside the editor – it is becoming an active participant in how software is planned, built, reviewed, and operated across teams and organizations. This shift introduces new challenges that cannot be solved at the level of individual tools alone: governance, security, cost control, observability, and coordinated work between humans and autonomous agents.
Our goal is to build a platform that enables companies to adopt AI in software development in a structured, scalable, and economically efficient manner – without locking them into closed ecosystems.
We are building the foundation that connects developer workflows, team-level collaboration, and organizational control into a single coherent system.
This platform will serve as the execution and governance layer for AI-driven development, deeply integrated with developer tools but designed to work across teams, products, and environments.
This is a long-term strategic investment for JetBrains and a key pillar of our vision for the future of software development.
The role
We are looking for a Principal Engineer (JetBrains Cloud Platform, Developer Experience) to drive large-scale improvements to the development experience across the JCP.
This role focuses on making JCP engineers faster and more productive by improving build systems, CI/CD pipelines, local development workflows, tooling infrastructure, and AI pipelines. You will own the developer experience end to end – from how engineers develop, build, and test locally to how code moves through CI and reaches production. As this is a rapidly growing platform, many workflows and processes are still maturing. You will define what a great development experience looks like and drive the organization toward it.
As part of the team, you will:
- Own and drive the strategy for developer experience improvements across the entire JCP platform.
- Optimize build systems (Gradle, Nx, and others) for faster builds, better caching, and reliable reproducibility at scale.
- Set up AI development pipelines, managing context, agents, and handoffs, and leveraging tools developed within the JCP.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines – reduce build times, increase reliability, optimize resource usage, and shorten feedback loops across TeamCity and GitHub.
- Improve containerized development workflows (Docker, Dev Containers) to ensure fast and consistent local environments.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the development cycle – from code commit to production deployment.
- Establish best practices, tooling standards, and shared infrastructure that enable all teams to move faster.
- Collaborate with platform and product teams to understand pain points and deliver high-impact improvements.

The role
We are looking for a Developer Experience Lead to drive large-scale improvements to the development experience across the JCP.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has extensive experience with build systems (Gradle, Maven, or Bazel) and a track record of optimizing them at scale.
- Has strong expertise in CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar) and knows how to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Has hands-on experience with Docker and containerized development workflows.

Most engineering jobs are about optimizing a button or maintaining a legacy system. This is not one of them. At Wunderflats, our vision of "living and working anywhere" hinges on one thing: trust. Your mission as Software Engineer (f/m/d) will be to build and scale the engine of that trust — our core payments and pricing platform. You will own mission-critical financial systems from the database to the API to the user interface. If you're looking for leverage and direct impact on the business, this is it.
Does this sound like the right next step in your career? We would like to hear from you!
Nice to have:
Experience here is a bonus, but your ability to engineer solutions is what matters.
While this is a full-stack role, the core challenge is on the backend. You are the engineer who is comfortable building a UI but is truly passionate about the reliability and architecture of the underlying financial systems.
*We at Wunderflats value the diversity of our team and stand for equal opportunity and non-discrimination. We respect all differences from person to person, visible or not.
