LOCATION: The Legal Counsel position is a remote, work-from-home role, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners (a structure central to our culture and vision to change the work/life paradigm). Some travel is required for client meetings, internal meetings, conferences, and other events. Ideally this candidate would be in EST or CST.
THE ROLE: Legal Counsel
Acceleration Partners has grown significantly over the last several years, and with that growth has come increasingly complex legal needs. Our global footprint now spans Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Australia, and we work with some of the world's leading brands. With over 300 employees across multiple countries and a commitment to running a profitable, operationally excellent business, we are looking for full-time Legal Counsel who will serve as our in-house legal resource across contracts, and occasionally support compliance, data privacy and HR matters.
This role serves as a key legal partner to the business, providing practical, risk-balanced guidance while enabling commercial objectives across a globally distributed organization.
This is a unique opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful, substantive work, applying deep legal expertise in a more focused, flexible environment — fully remote.
At Acceleration Partners, everything we do comes back to three core values: Own It, Embrace Relationships, and Excel & Improve. This role requires contract expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to build trust quickly with internal teams and external clients alike. If you're looking for a role where your legal instincts directly shape how a growing company operates, this is it.
TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Contracts: Own the end-to-end client contract process. Draft, review, and negotiate client services agreements using a clear understanding of both our business and the client's needs. Ensure all language is legally sound, enforceable, and aligned with company interests. Work directly with our sales team to redline and negotiate non-standard terms.
Vendor Contracts: Serve as the primary legal point of contact for vendor relationships. Review supplier agreements to verify compliance with company policies and applicable international, federal, and state regulations. Flag risk and recommend practical solutions that keep the business moving. Ensure vendors meet data privacy and security standards, including appropriate data processing, cross-border transfer mechanisms, and confidentiality obligations.
Disputes and Legal Matters: Handle low-level disputes and legal inquiries that arise in the normal course of business. Provide sound, practical legal guidance to internal teams for routine matters. Liaise with external counsel as needed on more complex issues, and draft and manage legal correspondence, including demand letters, cease and desist notices, and other dispute-related communications. Significant litigation, regulatory matters, or high-risk disputes will be managed in coordination with external counsel.
HR Legal Advisory: Partner with our People team to advise on employment-related legal questions, including compliance, policy questions, and employee relations matters. Provide practical, business-oriented guidance that balances legal compliance with operational realities. Escalate complex, multi-jurisdictional, or high-risk employment matters to external counsel where appropriate.
Corporate Governance:
Support basic corporate governance matters across the company’s global entities, including drafting of company resolutions or coordination with internal stakeholders and external service providers on entity management and required filings, as needed.
Contract Oversight and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for all active and completed contracts. Monitor contract timelines and proactively manage renewals, extensions, and close-outs. Proofread and fact-check all legal documents for accuracy and consistency, and communicate contract terms clearly to non-legal colleagues.
YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
Within 3 months: Full command of our existing contract library, processes, and active client agreements. Integrated into the sales and people team workflows. Handling routine contracts independently.
Within 6 months: Trusted legal resource for the business. Managing all inbound and outbound contracts, advising on disputes and HR matters without escalation, and contributing to process improvements that reduce risk and improve efficiency across the company. Acting as a go-to partner for cross-functional teams, proactively identifying legal risks and driving practical, scalable solutions.

The Organization:
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is one of the nation’s most influential forces for racial justice in the United States, working in partnership with communities to dismantle white supremacy, strengthen intersectional movements, and advance the human rights of all people.
Founded in 1971 to ensure that the promise of the Civil Rights Movement became a reality for all, the organization continues to engage in both legal and community-based efforts to topple institutional racism and stamp out remnants of Jim Crow segregation; unmask and defeat some of the nation’s most violent white supremacist groups; and protect the civil rights of communities of color, children, women, people with disabilities, immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community, prisoners, religious minorities, and many others who face discrimination, abuse, or exploitation.
The work of SPLC touches every part of the country, with a focus on five priority Deep South states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi—regions that have played historic roles in the Civil Rights Movement and remain critical battlegrounds for racial justice. Headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, the organization also maintains offices in Miami, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; New Orleans, Louisiana; Jackson, Mississippi; and Washington, D.C. This network of offices allows the SPLC to implement people-centered programs while developing broader strategies to confront systemic challenges both regionally and nationally. By transforming the Deep South, SPLC is leading the way for the rest of the country.
History
By the late 1960s, the civil rights movement had broken the legal framework of Jim Crow, yet the lived reality of racial inequality persisted. African Americans continued to face exclusion from quality jobs, housing, education, and public life, and few institutions were equipped—or willing—to champion the rights of the poor and disenfranchised. In response to this urgent need, a new civil rights law center was established in 1971 to provide legal representation in cases that few lawyers would take, challenging discriminatory systems and advancing equal protection under the law.
In its early years, the SPLC helped desegregate public facilities, reform state institutions, and secure more equitable political representation. Over the decades, it went on to win landmark victories against violent white supremacist groups, dismantle vestiges of Jim Crow, defend the rights of marginalized communities, and expose extremist activity nationwide. It also expanded into education, launching a nationally recognized anti-bias program.
As the nation has grown more diverse and new manifestations of hate and inequality have emerged, the organization’s mission has only become more urgent - guided by a steadfast commitment to justice, dignity, and human rights for all.
Today
At a time when unprecedented and coordinated efforts seek to divide and demoralize those working toward an equitable, inclusive, multiracial democracy, SPLC remains unwavering in its mission to confront racism in all its forms. The organization is rooted in the belief that a society where communities of color thrive benefits everyone, and it is guided by a deep commitment to building a future where white supremacy, poverty, and mass incarceration are relics of the past.
The Southern Poverty Law Center remains committed to championing racial justice with unwavering determination and an unshakable belief in the power of unity. Through its work, the organization continues to build a future where all communities thrive, and discrimination is consigned to history.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the President & CEO and as a key member of the SPLC executive team, the Chief Legal Officer will be a thought partner and collaborative visionary responsible for shaping, leading and managing a strategic, innovative litigation docket at the federal, state, and regional level.
Effectively managing a large and experienced Legal team – and collaborating across issues, areas, and departments - the CLO will direct and implement the organization’s impact advocacy and litigation strategy at a time when the work of the SPLC has never been more vital.
The successful candidate will have a history of deeply credible and meaningful legal leadership experience in the civil rights space, with leadership in litigation and advocacy.

You’ll be joining a creative team that’s been recognized with Cannes Lions, Clios, One Show, New York Festivals, SABER, and PRWeek awards, but more importantly, a team that’s curious, collaborative, and constantly pushing each other to do work that earns attention.
The Creative team works across the full Burson client roster to ideate, develop, and produce earned-first campaigns, building original ideas that cut through culture not just the noise. Our work connects people and brands by digging deeper, imagining more, and creating campaigns and content designed to live anywhere and travel everywhere.
We’ve intentionally brought together a mix of designers, writers, producers, and creators from different backgrounds, cultures, and points of view, because better work comes from diverse voices challenging each other.

We’re looking for a Senior Creative who lives at the center of culture—someone who refreshes Versus, Hypebeast, Complex and niche corners of the internet like it’s email, and pulls inspiration from everywhere: music, fashion, internet culture, sport, and everything in between.
You’re a culture-obsessed tastemaker with range. You move fluidly between sport, music, fashion, and subcultures, understanding how moments spark, spread, and evolve. You don’t just clock trends—you see them forming early and know how to shape them into ideas people actually care about.
Crucially, you’re earned first. You know how to turn cultural tension into moments that earn headlines with an angle, a stunt, a social series, a brand act, etc. that gets picked up by press, creators and fans—not just pushed out as an ad.
You’re a conceptual thinker first, with the craft to bring ideas to life. Whether through art direction, writing, or both, you know how to build a world, name it, and express it across formats—from social to IRL to everything in between.
If you live for big ideas, big drops, big games, big stories, this is your lane.
