Position Summary:
Redwood Materials is currently searching for a Service Engineer to join as an early member of a new engineering team working on our Battery Energy Storage System product line. You will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues across deployed Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role supports an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) organization that performs routine monitoring, preventive maintenance, and first-line troubleshooting. Service Engineering serves as the technical escalation path for O&M, owning deep diagnostics, system-level failure analysis, and engineering-driven corrective actions.

The starting cash range for this role is $90,000 - $155,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. About the Role:
Planet is developing the next generation of small satellite buses, featuring high-resolution optical imaging payloads, a space-based data center connected by optical inter-satellite links (OISLs), and high-speed RF/Microwave communication links. We are seeking an experienced Satcom Modem Engineer to develop and mature our next-generation onboard satcom links, ground radios, and antenna systems, pushing the frontiers of satellite communications. About the role:
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer co-op to join our team. In the day-to-day, you will be responsible for working on the EE aspects of the design of products based on thorough feasibility, design, and cost studies encompassing key component selection, thermals, antenna, etc. We have a tremendous amount of telemetry and access to customers that help guide our design process. You will work directly with our customers to ensure we lead the industry with our product design. We run a collaborative process working closely with Product Management, PD, FW, EPM, NPI, and Hardware leadership to make excellent tradeoffs and choices. Throughout this process, you’ll share your expertise with other engineers. The US and Taiwan EE teams are supported by the Supply Chain team, laboratories, JDM design resources, and a growing supply base. You will work closely with these internal and external partners to achieve our objectives.
This role will be held at our San Francisco office. Co-ops are required to be in the office Tuesdays to Thursdays and remote work days on Mondays and Fridays. About the role:
We’re looking for a Senior Hardware Systems Engineer to join our fast-growing product line and team. In the day-to-day, you will be responsible for driving the EE aspects of the architecture and design of products based on thorough feasibility, design, and cost studies encompassing key component selection, thermals, antenna, etc. We have a tremendous amount of telemetry and access to customers that help guide our design process, and you will work directly with them to design the right product. We run a collaborative process working closely with Product Management, PD, FW, EPM, NPI, and Hardware leadership to make excellent tradeoffs and choices. Throughout this process, you’ll share your expertise with other engineers. The US and Taiwan EE teams are supported by the Supply Chain team, laboratories, JDM design resources, and a growing supply base. You will work closely with these internal and external partners to achieve our objectives.
This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in our San Francisco, CA office and two days working remotely. This position requires travel up to 25% of the time and proximity to an international airport. Relocation assistance will be provided for this role. We are open to candidates residing in the U.S. who are willing and able to relocate to the Bay Area.

As a member of the Mechanical Integration team at Astranis, you'll be responsible for building parts, subsystems, and ultimately, entire satellites. Internships at Astranis typically last for twelve weeks, and are hourly roles designed for students who are currently enrolled at a four-year university.

The Harness Engineer is responsible for designing wire harnesses for both flight spacecraft and developmental use. This includes working with mechanical and electrical design engineering teams to execute a rigorous design process, and working with contract manufacturers and an internal production team to build harnesses to the highest possible quality standard. Finally, you'll support integration planning and operations including on-vehicle routing, installation, and connections.
The ideal candidate has a breadth of experience across both electrical and mechanical design of aerospace harnesses, deep technical understanding of relevant materials and components, and high attention to detail. If high levels of ownership, designing and building harnesses that will go to space, and helping to change the world sounds like a fun challenge - this might be the role for you.
