POSITION SUMMARY
As an Accounting Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in maintaining the organization’s financial integrity by overseeing core accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, payroll accounting, and regulatory compliance. You will partner closely with the Controller and Finance leadership to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting across a multi-entity, fund-accounting environment. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to drive process improvements within a mission-driven organization supporting healthcare and senior services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and manage the full month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries, accruals, and financial statements are completed accurately and within established timelines.
• Oversee and review general ledger activity, ensuring proper coding, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP and organizational policies.
• Perform and review complex account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, intercompany, and sub-ledger), ensuring discrepancies are identified, researched, and resolved promptly.
• Manage all aspects of payroll accounting, including reconciliation of payroll reports to the general ledger, tracking of liabilities, and ensuring accuracy of wages, taxes, and benefit allocations.
• Administer and oversee employee garnishments, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, proper withholding, and accurate reporting.
• Partner with HR and Payroll teams to ensure alignment between payroll processing and financial reporting, including audits of payroll data and controls.
• Support audit processes (internal and external), including preparation of schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with fund accounting standards, grant reporting requirements, and healthcare-related financial regulations.
• Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or operational improvements.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management to build a high-performing team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with department leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including nonprofit and healthcare financial reporting standards.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Controller or senior leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

POSITION SUMMARY
As an Admissions Coordinator & Intake Coordinator, you will support admissions operations for the Jewish Home & Rehab Center by coordinating safe and efficient transitions between care settings for incoming residents and patients. You will work closely with acute care hospitals, community stakeholders, referral partners, and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate admissions, support census growth, and ensure exceptional customer service throughout the admissions and intake process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the management of census and patient/resident throughput with a focus on achieving and exceeding census goals and targets.
• Support application throughput and data entry across multiple systems and platforms, including EMR, Allscripts, Curaspan, Referral Manager PRO, fax, phone, email, and LTC roster systems.
• Provide ongoing phone, email, and customer service support for Short-Term Care and Long-Term Care inquiries.
• Conduct tours of units and respond to inquiries and applicants in a timely and professional manner.
• Communicate with Case Managers regarding admissions processes and status updates to ensure smooth transitions from hospital to skilled nursing care.
• Assess and review Long-Term Care applications for completeness and appropriateness for admission.
• Follow up with applicants regarding outstanding documentation or requirements until the admissions process is finalized.
• Conduct room checks to ensure rooms are prepared for incoming admissions and arrange DME orders as needed.
• Collaborate with Clinical Liaisons to identify and communicate clinical admission requirements to the interdisciplinary team.
• Create and complete admissions paperwork for incoming residents and patients.
• Enter admissions into the EMR system, take patient photographs, and upload appropriate documents into the EMR.
• Review and verify insurance eligibility and benefits; obtain authorizations as needed.
• Maintain understanding of contracted insurance providers and accurately input payer information into the EMR system.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with referral sources, physicians, hospitals, and healthcare providers to support referral growth.
• Represent JHRC professionally within the community and maintain a customer-service-oriented approach at all times.
• Attend staff meetings and educational in-services as assigned.
• Cross-train and provide departmental coverage as needed.
• Conduct screenings for potential admissions, including Megan’s Law, immunizations, and PASSR reviews.
• Prepare admissions memos and communicate admissions information to nursing units.

POSITION SUMMARY
As the Director of Memory Care, you will provide leadership, oversight, and coordination of all memory care services to ensure a safe, engaging, and high-quality environment for residents living with cognitive impairment. You will promote person-centered care, ensure regulatory compliance, supervise staff, and partner with families and interdisciplinary teams to support residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being. In the absence of the Director of Health and Wellness, you will assume full operational oversight of community health services and wellness programming to ensure continuity of care and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the clinical leader, supporting the care team and overall healthcare operations of the community.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical staff to meet the healthcare needs of residents.
• Hire, train, supervise, and manage caregiving staff, including caregivers and medication technicians.
• Ensure all healthcare operations comply with DSS regulations, including incident reporting and required in-service training programs.
• Conduct pre-admission assessments, appraisals, and re-appraisals in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain individualized care and service plans, including updates based on changes in resident condition.
• Monitor and anticipate changes in resident status and ensure appropriate interventions.
• Lead clinical quality and process improvement initiatives through tracking, trending, and analysis of internal data.
• Oversee contracted pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with medication management regulations, including storage, administration, and documentation.
• Coordinate with external healthcare providers, including hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, hospice providers, and specialty clinics.
• Represent the community as a healthcare professional in external partnerships and professional interactions.
• Coordinate with internal transportation services to support resident medical appointments.
• Respond to emergencies in accordance with established emergency management procedures.

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license required; BSN preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting residents and guests to scheduled destinations in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. You will support resident mobility needs while ensuring passenger safety, maintaining vehicle readiness, and providing a high level of customer service.

Position Overview
The Receptionist is responsible for greeting, checking in, and directing individuals who come on campus and connecting them to the appropriate party. They will arrange transportation services and visitation appointments for families when needed. They will answer phones promptly and direct calls to appropriate parties and will help process mail.

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Facilities Engineer, you are responsible for conducting preventative and corrective work to support the facility center’s operations of the power plant and infrastructure equipment, including mechanical equipment, boilers, co-generator engines, chillers, and emergency generators. You will review construction and remodeling projects and contracted mechanical work for code compliance and compatibility with existing mechanical and electrical systems. POSITION SUMMARY
As a Life Enrichment Coordinator (LEC), you will plan and lead a variety of person-centered programs designed to enhance the emotional, social, and recreational well-being of residents in assisted living and memory care settings. You will foster a positive and engaging environment through group, one-on-one, and self-directed activities while promoting inclusion, creativity, and meaningful resident connection. This role supports interdisciplinary collaboration, documentation compliance, and the overall quality of life across campus.

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Part-Time Psychiatrist, you will provide inpatient psychiatric care within our 12-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Hospital located at the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living. This acute inpatient unit serves a diverse population of older adults from the Bay Area and surrounding counties and operates within a larger campus offering multiple levels of geriatric medical and residential care. You will work in a highly collegial, multidisciplinary environment focused on delivering exceptional psychiatric care to older adults. This position offers the opportunity to work within a nonprofit, mission-driven organization and may include a teaching appointment through UCSF’s Department of Psychiatry.
