WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As an Audio Visual Post Sales Systems Engineer, you will provide technical oversight from project award through final commissioning. You’ll ensure successful delivery by identifying specific needs or processes, including tooling, test documentation, and resource planning. This role supports project managers, field teams, and sales, ensuring technical excellence and customer satisfaction.
This role requires up to 70% travel to client sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support to Project Managers, Field Implementation Teams, and Sales.
- Assist with product testing and remote commissioning.
- Review and refine project Scope of Works (SOW) to ensure optimal operation and customer satisfaction.
- Approve support documentation for project deployment.
- Stay current with system technologies via manufacturer training and partner relationships.
- Review and approve technical documents (schematics, rack drawings, layout drawings, IP system details).
- Provide feedback on technical aspects to improve project processes and deployments.
- Approve final as-built drawing sets for project close-out.
- Collaborate on change orders and scope modifications.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- 8+ years of AV industry design experience.
- Degree in a technical discipline or 10+ years of professional AV experience in implementation/system support.
- Expertise in key technologies:
- Control: Crestron, AMX, Extron
- Audio: BIAMP, QSC, Polycom
- Video: Cisco, Polycom, QSC, Crestron, Lightware, Teams, Zoom
- AVoIP Design and Deployment
- CTS certification or higher.
- Experience managing large projects (Project or Field).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in:
- Audio systems design (conferencing, digital sound, public address, event spaces)
- Video systems (large format displays, projection, video wall processing)
- Control systems (touchscreen, automation, smart building tech)
- Video conferencing integration and deployment
- AV infrastructure design and planning
- Flexibility to work across time zones and travel internationally as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The AV Team Lead is responsible for leading the Audio-Visual team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues related to video conferencing and in-room technology. This role involves mentoring technicians, managing the incident ticketing system, developing support processes, and serving as the primary escalation point for complex technical and critical incidents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mentor the AV team, including scheduling, and training.
- Oversee and manage the ticketing system, ensuring all incidents and service requests are logged, prioritized, and resolved within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues and manage critical incidents.
- Develop, document, and maintain AV support processes, policies, and knowledge base articles to improve efficiency and first-contact resolution rates.
- Monitor and report on AV performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement continuous improvements to service delivery.
- Manage hardware and software inventory
- Coordinate with other teams (e.g., Network Operations, Systems Engineering) to ensure seamless support.
- Assist with onboarding of new employees, including access, trainings, and laptop setup.

AV Commissioning Field Technician role for new office builds involves verifying, testing, and fine-tuning all audio-visual systems (screens, mics, control panels, video conferencing) during construction and handover to ensure they meet design specs and owner needs, requiring deep tech skills, coordination with contractors/architects, troubleshooting, and documentation, for seamless functionality from day one.
The AV Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the final testing, configuration, and handover of integrated audio-visual systems in a new corporate office environment. This role ensures that all meeting spaces are fully operational, networked, and optimized for Google Meet video conferencing, adhering to design specifications and quality standards.
This position requires 50% travel globally
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Google Meet Configuration: Configure and commissioning of Google Meet hardware (e.g., Logitech Meet kits), including touch controllers, cameras, microphones, and speakers.
- Systems Commissioning & Testing: Perform on-site commissioning of integrated AV systems, validating signal flow, connectivity, and functionality of all components (DSP, displays, switchers, cameras).
- Google Workspace Integration: Ensure seamless integration of Google Meet kits with Google Calendar for one-touch joining and room scheduling.
- Audio DSP Tuning: Testing for echo cancellation, microphone gain structure, and optimal audio quality during video conferencing.
- Network Configuration: Configure IP-addressable AV devices, VLANs, and network settings to ensure reliable video traffic.
- Quality Assurance & Punchlist: Conduct thorough QA/QC checks to ensure installations meet industry standards and project SOW (Scope of Work); resolve "punch list" items before client turnover.
- Documentation & Training: Document final system configurations, test results, and provide user training/demonstrations to clients.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software issues during the commissioning phase with integrators.
- This role requires on-site work, often in a new, active construction, or renovation project site.
- Physical ability to work from ladders (up to 35 ft) and lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) may be required.
- Global travel to project sites will be required, estimated 50% of the time.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Experience: 3 - 5+ years of experience in AV installation, commissioning, or field technician, preferably in corporate environments.
- Video Conferencing Expertise: Proven experience with Google Meet hardware; experience with Zoom Rooms or Microsoft Teams Rooms is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of audio-visual hardware (DSP, codecs, cameras, mics, displays) and networking fundamentals (IP addressing, PoE, Wi-Fi).
- Control Systems: Experience with programming or debugging control systems (e.g., Q-SYS).
- Certifications: CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or CTS-I (Installation) is preferred.

● Act as day-to-day project manager for technology-related scopes of work.

● Equipment room and telecom closet (MDF/IDF) buildouts activities performed by project low voltage contractor
● Ensuring all deliverables are in accordance with drawings, specifications and best practices.
● UPS and PDU installation, configuration and power up.
Network Deployment
● Network equipment delivery logistics
● Collaboration with Network Engineering (NetEng) team as needed during project lifecycle, including during services turn up and testing.
● Coordination of ISP circuit delivery, cross-connects and turn up
● Coordination of switching, routing, firewall and wireless infrastructure installations.
● Device power connections per established standards
● Rack & stack, patching, cable management, labeling, turnup and cutover activities.
Audio Visual (AV) & Video Conferencing (VC) Systems
● AV equipment delivery logistics
● Oversight of the implementation of conference rooms, all-hands spaces, and collaboration technologies performed by project audio visual integrator.
● Coordination with network team on port configuration, VLANs, IP reservations and commissioning troubleshooting
● Coordination with AV integrators during installation and commissioning activities.
● Oversee punch list and make sure installations and commissioning are to standards.
Physical Security Systems
● Oversight of the implementation of access control, biometrics, surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, and related systems.
● Collaboration with Corporate Security (CorpSec) Technology team as needed during project lifecycle, including field escalations
● Integration with building and enterprise security standards.
● Coordination with network team on port configuration, VLANs, IP reservations and commissioning troubleshooting
● Coordination with security integrators during installation and commissioning activities.
Onsite & Meeting Participation
Attend and actively participate in:
● Weekly Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings
● Box walks and site inspections

● Vendor coordination sessions
● Represent the technology team and adjacent partners in construction meetings, advocate for standards adherence and report back on issues, actions, and progress
Testing & Commissioning
● Oversee commissioning, validation, and acceptance of all technology systems in accordance with standard specifications, runbooks and checklists.
● Track punch list items and ensure remediation by vendors.
● Confirm handover documentation (as-builts, test results, warranties, training materials) is received and validated.
Communications & Reporting
● Provide weekly written project status reports summarizing schedule, budget adherence, key risks, and decisions required.
● Maintain clear, proactive communications with internal TPMs and stakeholders.
● Develop and manage stakeholder updates, executive briefings, and escalation communications as needed.
Deliverables
- Project Execution Plan aligned with project schedules.
- Weekly Project Status Reports (including schedule, risks, and issues).
- Meeting Notes & Action Logs for all project-related meetings.
- Commissioning & Testing Reports for technology systems.
- Closeout Package including lessons learned, final documentation, and sign-off.
Roles & Interfaces
● Consultant: Day-to-day execution management of technology scopes.
● TPMs: Strategic planning, overall design oversight, standards governance.
● AV Engineers: AV standards, design and integrator oversight
● CorpSec: Physical security technical standards and system designs
● Vendors/Integrators: Implementation of cabling, AV, network, and security systems.
● General Contractor, Architect, External Real Estate PM: Construction management and coordination, overall design and schedule Geographic Scope
● Projects will be located both domestically and internationally.
● Consultant must demonstrate ability to manage projects across time zones, cultures, and regulatory environments.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
● Proven experience delivering project management services for technology in real estate buildouts.
● Experience working with GCs, architects, MEP consultants, electrical contractors, low voltage contractors, AV integrators, physical security integrators and other construction trades
● Intermediate to expert capabilities with low voltage structured cabling systems, networking, AV, and physical security systems.
● Experience coordinating with general contractors, architects, engineers, and technology vendors.
● Strong communication and reporting skills for global stakeholders.
