MongoDB Pre-Sales Solution Architects are responsible for guiding our customers and users to design and build reliable, scalable systems using our data platform. Our team is made up of seasoned technical sales professionals, software architects, entrepreneurs, and developers who take direct responsibility for customer success, including the design of their software, deployment, and operations. Sr. Solutions Architect (Lakewatch - EMEA) 

The Solutions Architect (Lakewatch) team executes on Databricks’ strategic Product Operating Model that provides enhanced focus on earlier stage, highly prioritized product lines in order to establish product market fit, and set the course for rapid revenue growth. They are part of a global go-to-market team mandate, though individually will cover a specific, local region.  Clients may span across one or more business units and verticals. About the role

As an Applied AI team member at Anthropic, you will be a Pre-Sales architect focused on becoming a trusted technical advisor helping large enterprises understand the value of Claude and paint the vision on how they can successfully integrate and deploy Claude into their technology stack. What You’ll Do

1. Design & Build AI Agents

• Create workflow-driven AI agents (e.g., BDR, Contract, Accounting agents)
• Architect multi-step agent systems including prompts, tools, memory, and guardrails
• Rapidly prototype solutions and evolve them into production-grade products

2. Integrate Across the Stack

• Connect agents to internal systems (CRM, data platforms, Drive, Jira, etc.)
• Enable agents to perform real actions (e.g., update CRM, generate reports, create tickets)
• Ensure reliable orchestration between APIs, tools, and data sources

3. Iterate for Impact

• Run pilots with end users and gather qualitative and quantitative feedback
• Analyze usage, errors, and performance metrics
• Continuously improve accuracy, reliability, and user experience

4. Ensure Security & Quality

• Implement robust guardrails, validation layers, and access controls
• Ensure compliance with data security and governance standards
• Clearly document each agent (scope, capabilities, limitations, KPIs, roadmap)

5. Drive Adoption & Enablement

• Build a clean, scalable agent ecosystem for internal users
• Support and educate teams on adopting agents in their workflows
• Contribute to internal best practices and agent-building standards
• Act as a champion for AI-driven ways of working

You'll Love This Job If you have 

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, or Software Engineer, with a background in backend/full-stack development, data, or automation workflows
• Proven experience building AI agents using LLMs, RAG, MCP and related technologies, including architectural design of multi-step agentic workflows
• Proficient in Python and data fundamentals (SQL, JSON, data modeling)
• Production deployment expertise, you've shipped AI solutions in production

Platform Engineering is the backbone of Trade Republic's engineering velocity. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Our database platform is foundational to how Trade Republic works — every trade, savings plan, and card payment touches it. As Database Platform Tech Lead, you will set the direction, own the outcomes, and guide the team building the platform layer that makes database operations self-service, automated, and reliable at scale.

• Set the database reliability standard: Architect the failover mechanisms, replication topology, and recovery strategies that meet our availability targets — and own the engineering roadmap that closes the gap between where we are and the number of 9s the business requires.
• Drive toward zero-touch operations: Define what fully automated database operations look like — provisioning and scaling to zero-downtime migrations — and lead the platform work that gets us there.
• Own the database technology strategy: Define which database technology fits which problem — set the criteria for adoption, govern the portfolio, and ensure every database choice is intentional and operated with the same level of rigour.
• Define the database contract with product teams: Set the standards for how product engineers interact with databases — schema governance, migration patterns, connection pooling, query performance — and build the tooling that makes it effortless to get right.
• Own the platform end to end: Set the operational bar — define on-call practices and incident response standards for database failures, and hold the team to them.
• Own the direction and drive it forward: Define the long-term database platform strategy, drive cross-team initiatives from kickoff to delivery, and align database infrastructure decisions with broader engineering, compliance, and cost goals.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering, platform engineering, or a related systems discipline, with a track record of technical leadership.
• Deep, hands-on PostgreSQL expertise: strong opinions on replication, sharding, backup strategies, upgrades, and security. Hands-on experience with Postgres automation and lifecycle tooling is required.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse and Cassandra/Scylla in production environments.
• Solid backend engineering background — Go is preferred but any strong language is welcome; familiarity with Kotlin/JVM is a plus as you'll work directly with product teams who rely on it.
• A track record of turning database best practices into opinionated standards that engineering teams actually adopt.
• Cloud-native in your DNA: hands-on with Kubernetes and IaC tooling, running production workloads on AWS or equivalent.
• Proven ability to define technical strategy, drive cross-team initiatives end-to-end, and hold yourself and others accountable to outcomes.
• Ability to contribute to architectural decisions and clearly communicate trade-offs to both engineers and leadership.
• The ability to work in a flexible hybrid setup, with 2-3 days a week in the office.

THE OBSERVABILITY JOURNEY

In 2023 we made a decisive move: we replaced our observability-as-a-service provider with a fully self-hosted observability stack, giving us complete control over cost, data residency, and the developer experience around telemetry. Today our stack spans the full LGTM suite — Grafana, Mimir, Loki, and Tempo — alongside VictoriaMetrics, self-hosted Sentry, Grafana Alloy as our telemetry collector, and OpenTelemetry as the instrumentation standard. We use Pyrra for SLO tracking and are building toward a unified service health dashboard powered by error budgets and burn-rate alerting.

Telemetry is the backbone of how we operate a bank at scale — ingesting over 100 million samples, serving 400+ services, and capturing end-to-end traces from clients through services to system dependencies. Every trade, every card payment depends on our ability to see, measure, and respond to what's happening in production. We've proven the architecture works. Now we're building a dedicated in-house observability team to take it to the next level: stabilise and harden the platform, drive down cost-per-signal, and build the golden path for observability — where 100% of components ship with production-grade telemetry because the best thing to do is the easiest thing to do.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Build and evolve the observability platform: Design and operate large-scale telemetry pipelines while continuously improving core components with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and developer experience.
• Build for scale, design for cost: Architect high-throughput telemetry systems with sampling strategies, data tiering, and retention policies that balance signal fidelity with infrastructure cost at scale.
• Make production observable by default: Define and implement observability and reliability standards — SLOs, error budgets, and low-noise alerting — and actively support engineering teams in adopting them, making doing the right thing effortless.
• Own the platform end to end: Participate in the on-call rotation for the observability platform, ensuring full end-to-end ownership of the systems you build and operate.

The qualifications you need:

Our Infrastructure Team

Running on major cloud providers (namely AWS, Azure, and GCP) as well as on-premise data centers, we are a growing team intentionally composed of diverse skills sets (development obviously, but also data store, software reliability, operational automation, etc.) which aims at delivering a first-class platform for our product development teams. We embrace Reliability Engineering, toil is our enemy while automation at scale is our main ally.

What will you do?

As part of the Cloud Foundation team, you’ll be the master architect of our core infrastructure, with a primary focus on global networking and automated provisioning. You’ll bridge the gap between our public clouds (AWS, Azure) and on-premise data centers by building the high-performance connectivity and “Infrastructure as Code” pipelines that tie them together. Your work will ensure that our network is not only secure and resilient but also invisible to the feature teams who rely on your automated workflows to spin up environments at scale. You’ll thrive on solving complex routing challenges and streamlining the lifecycle of our resources, always striving for maximum efficiency and speed. What you'll do...

As a Senior Security Architect, reporting to the CISO, you will be a senior member of the Information Security team, responsible for the end-to-end security architecture of our Azure-based SaaS platform and the creation, adoption, and governance of security architecture best practice across our organisation. You will serve as the subject matter expert for both cloud infrastructure and application security, partnering with engineering teams to embed security into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will design secure, scalable, and resilient solutions for our single- and multi-tenant offerings, ensuring the protection of our platform and our customers' data. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cloud Security Architecture

• • Design and maintain the security reference architecture for our Azure-native, Windows, and Kubernetes-based SaaS products.
  • Act as the primary security consultant for product and engineering teams, providing authoritative guidance on secure design patterns for Azure infrastructure and services.
  • Review and approve architectural designs for new services to ensure they align with security principles (Zero Trust, defense-in-depth) and compliance requirements.
  • Define and enforce security standards for Azure networking, including VNet segmentation, firewalling, and private connectivity.

Product & Application Security

• • Lead threat modeling exercises (e.g., STRIDE) with development teams for new products and features to identify and mitigate risks early in the SDLC.
  • Develop and maintain secure coding standards and provide expert guidance on the prioritization and remediation of findings from SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.
  • Architect security solutions for the SaaS application layer, including tenant isolation, customer data segregation, secure APIs, and authentication/authorization patterns.

Data Security

• • Design and enforce security patterns for protecting data at rest and in transit across all Azure data platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Databricks)
  • Partner with the Data Access Governance function to translate data classification policies into tangible technical access controls.
  • Architect solutions for secrets management, encryption, and key management, primarily leveraging Azure Key Vault.
  • Architect and design a secure data access solution using VDI (Azure Virtual Desktop), including the integration of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and other data protection controls to prevent data exfiltration.

Security Engineering & Operations Enablement

• • Develop security-as-code and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to create guardrails and proactively detect insecure configurations.
  • Serve as a senior technical escalation point for the Security Operations team during complex cloud security investigations.
  • Evaluate, prototype, and recommend new cloud security technologies and services to mature the overall security program.

SKILLS & BACKGROUND

Experience & Qualifications

• • At least seven (7) years of proven experience in a senior cloud security, product security, or security architecture role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant security or Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-500, CISSP) are highly desirable.

Architectural & Application Security Expertise

• • Proven experience designing security for multi-tenant SaaS applications in a public cloud environment, preferably Azure.
  • A firm understanding of core security principles like least privilege, defense-in-depth, and zero trust, and able to champion and educate colleagues on those principles.
  • Deep understanding of the OWASP Top 10, common application and cloud infrastructure security vulnerabilities, and their mitigation.
  • Hands-on experience with application security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) and threat modeling methodologies such as STRIDE.

Azure Platform & Data Security Expertise

• • Strong knowledge of core Azure security services (e.g., Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Private Link, Azure Policy).
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, including roles, conditional access, application permissions, and identity governance.
  • Experience designing and implementing security controls for a variety of data platforms in Azure (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).
  • Direct experience designing and securing VDI solutions in Azure (Azure Virtual Desktop), including network segmentation, endpoint security for images, and DLP policy enforcement.

Knowledge & Frameworks

• • Strong familiarity with security frameworks, particularly MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Understanding of compliance and privacy frameworks for context (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST CSF, HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Broad understanding of core information security technologies and concepts.
