WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Your technical expertise and autonomy will allow you to design and implement scalable, intuitive features across our platform.
- Build and maintain high-performance data pipelines, contributing to a robust data and application architecture.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers to deliver impactful solutions.
- Operate and enhance our data infrastructure, ensuring seamless data movement across platforms.
- Support the evaluation and integration of tools that empower engineering and data science teams.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of experience in software development or data engineering in cloud-based environments.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with a solid grasp of OOP principles - C# programming experience would be nice to have
- Very good grasp of Infra-as-Code (IaC) and Terraform
- Proficiency in data transformation and processing tools (e.g. PySpark, dbt).
- Experience designing scalable and robust data platforms.
- Familiarity with data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, data vault).
- Experience with distributed data systems and Database optimization
- Comfortable working with NoSQL data stores and SQL Server.
- Experience in ETL processes and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow etc
- A passion for continuous learning, mentoring, and solving complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills in English.

As a Fullstack Engineer, you will join our core Engineering team to build complete designs for applications and features that deliver direct value to our customers. You will solve complex technical challenges by working within your squad and collaborating across the organization with Data Scientists, QA, and Product Managers. Your focus will be on delivering high-performance, scalable, and quality solutions that modernize our platform. This role is essential for driving the technical migrations and architectural improvements that power Shift’s mission.

As a member of Shift Technology’s QA team, part of the greater Tech team, you will be working on the whole QA process implementation on the Shift Technical platform (the core of all our products!).
We are looking for 2 different profiles here:
- One junior freshly graduated QA Engineer
- One mid-level QA Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience
More specifically in this role you will:
- Understand our clients need and establish the relevant test strategy to ensure that the product will fit
- Be ready to follow-up and test new Features with development is split between different Teams
- Identify and implement automated tests with development teams in Agile cycle

- Create and lead comprehensive test campaigns on your product

As a member of Shift Technology’s QA team, part of the greater tech team, you will be working on the whole QA process implementation on the Shift Technical platform (the core of all our products!).

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an Architect to set the technical direction and standards across three squads, bridging the gap between Engineering, Data Science, and Infra/Security to ensure our Azure-based services are scalable and reliable, while keeping the developer experience as high as we can. Our services must be easy to build, thoroughly tested, deployed confidently, fully observable so maintenance is not an issue. A key focus will be implementing robust API and event-driven designs that allow our services to seamlessly power our future product and new agentic AI tools.
The architect will champion best practices, mentor engineering teams, and oversee API management solutions that support the organization’s modernization and digital transformation priorities.
The second part of the Architect responsibility will be around the way we want to build agentic AI capabilities at Shift. In the long run, we will need to have a coherent way to develop, configure and maintain our agents or chatbots. The target will be a good balance between speed, flexibility and re-usability, security and budget management, to provide the most value in our products.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will have a dual mission. On the one hand, you will handle more API-related architecture responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Set the overarching technical direction and standards across three distinct engineering squads.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bridge the gap between Engineering, Data Science, and Infrastructure/Security teams.
- API Management: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our (internal and external) API management framework, including catalogue, gateway, etc.
- Platform Excellence: Ensure Azure-based services are scalable, reliable, and optimized for a high-quality developer experience.
- Operational Integrity: Oversee the creation of services that are easy to build, thoroughly tested, confidently deployed, and fully observable.
- Architectural Strategy: Implement robust API designs to support future product scaling.
- Innovation: Drive the development of infrastructure that seamlessly powers new agentic AI tools and upcoming product features.
On the other hand, you will play an active part on designing the way we want to build agentic AI capabilities at Shift, through:
- Standardization of AI Development: Define and implement a coherent framework for developing, configuring, and maintaining AI agents and chatbots across the organization.
- Architectural Balance: Design AI systems that strike an optimal balance between development speed, architectural flexibility, and component reusability.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP): Help with MCP integration both by exposing MCP for our services, and having our agents calling into third party MCPs
- Operational Governance: Establish standards for security and budget management (token usage/compute costs) to ensure AI initiatives remain sustainable and secure.
- Product Value Integration: Align agentic capabilities with core product goals to ensure AI features provide maximum tangible value to end-users.
- Future-Proofing: Build a scalable foundation for "Shift’s" long-term AI roadmap, moving from experimental bots to robust, maintainable agentic ecosystems.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Azure: Deep expertise in Azure services (AKS, App Service, Functions, Azure SQL/Cosmos DB).

The security team is a critical component of Shift Technology as no organization is immune to cyber-crime. The team is responsible for protecting information throughout the security infrastructure, edge devices, networks, and data. We strive to stay up to date with the latest tactics hackers are employing in the field in order to prevent data breaches by monitoring and reacting to attacks but the first step is finding the most qualified professionals to lead the way.
What you'll do...
As a Senior Security Architect, reporting to the CISO, you will be a senior member of the Information Security team, responsible for the end-to-end security architecture of our Azure-based SaaS platform and the creation, adoption, and governance of security architecture best practice across our organisation. You will serve as the subject matter expert for both cloud infrastructure and application security, partnering with engineering teams to embed security into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will design secure, scalable, and resilient solutions for our single- and multi-tenant offerings, ensuring the protection of our platform and our customers' data.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cloud Security Architecture

- Design and maintain the security reference architecture for our Azure-native, Windows, and Kubernetes-based SaaS products.
- Act as the primary security consultant for product and engineering teams, providing authoritative guidance on secure design patterns for Azure infrastructure and services.
- Review and approve architectural designs for new services to ensure they align with security principles (Zero Trust, defense-in-depth) and compliance requirements.
- Define and enforce security standards for Azure networking, including VNet segmentation, firewalling, and private connectivity.
Product & Application Security

- Lead threat modeling exercises (e.g., STRIDE) with development teams for new products and features to identify and mitigate risks early in the SDLC.
- Develop and maintain secure coding standards and provide expert guidance on the prioritization and remediation of findings from SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.
- Architect security solutions for the SaaS application layer, including tenant isolation, customer data segregation, secure APIs, and authentication/authorization patterns.
Data Security

- Design and enforce security patterns for protecting data at rest and in transit across all Azure data platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Databricks)
- Partner with the Data Access Governance function to translate data classification policies into tangible technical access controls.
- Architect solutions for secrets management, encryption, and key management, primarily leveraging Azure Key Vault.
- Architect and design a secure data access solution using VDI (Azure Virtual Desktop), including the integration of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and other data protection controls to prevent data exfiltration.
Security Engineering & Operations Enablement

- Develop security-as-code and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to create guardrails and proactively detect insecure configurations.
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point for the Security Operations team during complex cloud security investigations.
- Evaluate, prototype, and recommend new cloud security technologies and services to mature the overall security program.
SKILLS & BACKGROUND
Experience & Qualifications

- At least seven (7) years of proven experience in a senior cloud security, product security, or security architecture role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant security or Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-500, CISSP) are highly desirable.
Architectural & Application Security Expertise
-
- Proven experience designing security for multi-tenant SaaS applications in a public cloud environment, preferably Azure.
- A firm understanding of core security principles like least privilege, defense-in-depth, and zero trust, and able to champion and educate colleagues on those principles.
- Deep understanding of the OWASP Top 10, common application and cloud infrastructure security vulnerabilities, and their mitigation.
- Hands-on experience with application security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) and threat modeling methodologies such as STRIDE.
Azure Platform & Data Security Expertise

- Strong knowledge of core Azure security services (e.g., Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Private Link, Azure Policy).
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, including roles, conditional access, application permissions, and identity governance.
- Experience designing and implementing security controls for a variety of data platforms in Azure (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).
- Direct experience designing and securing VDI solutions in Azure (Azure Virtual Desktop), including network segmentation, endpoint security for images, and DLP policy enforcement.
Knowledge & Frameworks

- Strong familiarity with security frameworks, particularly MITRE ATT&CK.
- Understanding of compliance and privacy frameworks for context (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST CSF, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Broad understanding of core information security technologies and concepts.
