The Role: Senior Software Engineer (Mobile)

As a Senior Mobile Engineer on the Predictions team, you'll own the mobile experience for Gemini's CFTC-regulated prediction markets exchange. You'll build and ship trading interfaces for event contracts — from order entry and position management to real-time market data — within Gemini's React Native app. You'll work closely with product, design, backend, and compliance to bring new contract types (binary, range, combo) to market on mobile and drive activation and retention for a fast-growing product line.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain the Predictions mobile trading experience end-to-end: market browsing, order placement, portfolio views, and settlement flows.

About the role

We’re hiring a Founding iOS Engineer to build the next-generation ResortPass iOS experience from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to define the architecture, engineering standards, user experience, and technical direction of a new native iOS app at a company with real scale, strong momentum, and meaningful product complexity. You will help shape how millions of users discover, book, and enjoy ResortPass on mobile across search, property details, booking, account, and post-booking experiences.

This is not a role for someone looking to simply implement tickets. We’re looking for an engineer with strong product instincts, excellent engineering judgment, and a high bar for craft, someone who wants to help define what mobile should be at ResortPass for years to come.

You’ll work closely with Product, Design, Backend, Data, and company leadership. You’ll own critical decisions end-to-end, from architecture and developer experience to app performance, reliability, analytics, and release quality. • 5+ years building production iOS applications with meaningful consumer-facing scale, quality, and complexity.
• Strong command of Swift and modern iOS development patterns.
• Experience building polished native experiences with strong attention to performance, usability, animation, responsiveness, and edge cases.
• You have led or heavily influenced architecture decisions for a substantial iOS codebase.
• You care deeply about product quality and can translate complex states and workflows into simple, elegant user experiences.

• You bring taste and judgment. You know when to insist on quality, when to simplify, and how to make smart tradeoffs in a fast-moving company.
• Ideally, you’ve worked on high-quality consumer products at top engineering organizations or elite startups where the bar for craft and execution is exceptionally high.
• You’re a good person. Building a startup is hard. Being thoughtful, low-ego, and great to work with should not be. We care deeply about building an ambitious team with a strong culture. This retains and sharpens the values language from your current JD.

What success looks like (6 to 12 months)

• You’ve established strong, pragmatic foundations for the iOS codebase that the team can confidently build on.
• You’ve shipped multiple meaningful improvements to core mobile journeys with measurable impact on conversion, performance, stability, and user satisfaction.
• You’re a trusted partner to Product, Design, and Backend, and a key voice in mobile product direction.
• You’ve raised the bar on mobile engineering quality, speed, and product craftsmanship across the company.
• You’ve helped define what a great mobile engineering culture looks like at ResortPass and laid the foundation for building the team around you.

As a Senior iOS Engineer at Via, you will be part of the rider mobile team, focusing on enhancing the rider experience in all aspects, including booking riders, account management and more. The team is also responsible for managing and evolving Via's multi-platform UI/Automation testing infrastructure.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers in order to deliver our high-quality, user-friendly rider application.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain the mobile infrastructure services that power Via's mobile apps.
• Work under high-pressure situations to quickly diagnose and resolve critical production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to users.

Who You Are:

• Have 5+ years of experience with hands-on iOS app development.
• Proficiency in Swift for iOS app development.
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, MVP), SwiftUI and UIKit, and RESTful APIs.
• Expertise in optimizing app performance, memory management, and debugging complex issues.
• Knowledge of concurrent programming using async-await, GCD (Grand Central Dispatch) or Operation Queues to handle background tasks and async operations efficiently.
• Knowledge of iOS frameworks such as Core Location, MapKit, as well as third party frameworks such as Google Maps.
• Experience mentoring and guiding engineers within your team
• A proactive, can-do attitude, with a strong eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Inherently a team player, with a strong collaborative mindset.
• Have an eye for detail when performing pull requests.

Compensation and Benefits

• Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
• Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000
