The Department: Treasury

The Role: Senior Associate, Treasury Operations

The Senior Associate, Treasury Operations will be a key contributor in the overall evolution of Gemini’s Payments ecosystem and a critical participant in the implementation of best-in-class payments architecture and operations processing infrastructure. The person in this role will be tasked with maintaining all customer fund flows in and out of our bank accounts, while also preparing monthly summaries and journal entries for global customer cash to be used in financial reporting. They will assist in streamlining current payment processes, as well as assist in the rollout of future Payment products. This position requires an individual that is highly motivated and well organized, thinks critically and independently, maintains a ‘roll-up the sleeves’ philosophy, and thrives in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and intellectually stimulating atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Process all funds from/in and to/out of customer accounts
• Reconcile daily customer cash transactions and prepare monthly accounting summaries & journal entries
• Participate in new product integrations
• Assist Gemini's Customer Support team with addressing customer issues related to fund transfers
• Collaborate with Gemini's Finance Tech and Project Management teams to assist in implementing new customer payment rails and appropriate cash reconciliation procedures

Qualifications:

• 5+ years Cash Management/Accounting experience (or similar operations)

• Knowledge of FedWire, ACH, SWIFT, FPS, CHAPS, and SEPA a plus

Gemini is looking for a Treasury Operations Associate to support daily reconciliation of bank accounts and reporting on customer liabilities versus cash holdings to ensure financial integrity and compliance. Responsibilities:

• Daily Bank Account Reconciliation – Perform daily reconciliations of firm and customer bank accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded, balances are verified, and discrepancies are promptly investigated and resolved.

The Role: Director, Treasury

Our team is looking for an accomplished Treasury executive to lead our Treasury team in a rapidly growing business environment. This role will provide leadership and execution of core digital asset and fiat currency liquidity processes, as well as oversee payment operations and banking relationships. This position will also lead the development and execution of Gemini’s long-term balance sheet management strategies. The Treasury team plays a critical role in supporting customer experience through seamless processing of customer deposits and withdrawals. Earning and maintaining trust with our customers is paramount to our success. This is a highly strategic role with direct impact on financial resilience, operational scalability, and customer trust.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate leadership, ownership, and command of all operational and strategic elements of Treasury management, including liquidity management, funding, and balance sheet optimization
• Oversee all cash management functions including customer deposit and withdrawal activity, intercompany cash movement, and account funding
• Develop and optimize funding sources and channels for operations, and ensure sufficient liquidity and capital for all entities
• Ensure adequate liquidity for working capital needs while managing the company’s corporate cash and digital asset portfolio
• Ensure bank reconciliations and cash closing activities are performed at the end of each reporting period timely and accurately
• Analyze, monitor, and manage risk exposures across funding, liquidity, and capital, and develop pricing and capital framework for efficient allocation of capital throughout the holding group

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Manager of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to join our growing risk organization at Gemini. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously improving our enterprise-wide risk management program to bridge the rigor of traditional financial services risk practices with the dynamic, fast-evolving landscape of digital assets and cryptocurrency markets.

You will work cross-functionally with Compliance, Finance, Technology, Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure that risk is identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated in alignment with regulatory expectations and organizational strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Enterprise Risk Framework
  • Design, implement, and continuously mature a comprehensive operational risk framework tailored to the unique risk profile of a cryptocurrency exchange
  • Establish risk appetite statements, risk tolerance thresholds, and key risk indicators (KRIs) aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise risk register, ensuring risks are properly categorized, owned, and escalated appropriately

• Proven ability to design and implement operational risk frameworks from the ground up or significantly enhance existing programs
• Strong working knowledge of model risk management principles, including model validation, documentation standards, and governance practices (familiarity with SR 11-7 or equivalent guidance is a must)

The Role: Principal Data Engineer

The Data Engineering Team owns the ingestion and transformation of data from production databases, streams, and external data sources into our data warehouse. As a Principal Data Engineer, you will set the technical direction for how data is modeled, processed, and delivered across the organization. You will partner closely with product, analytics, ML, finance, operations, and engineering teams to move, transform, and model data reliably, with observability, resilience, and agility. You’ll lead by example through design excellence, mentoring, and technical leadership, ensuring our data architecture is scalable, governed, and ready for the next generation of analytics and machine learning at Gemini. 

This is a senior individual contributor role — highly technical, strategic, and cross-functional — where you’ll influence the design of data systems that underpin key decisions and customer-facing products across Gemini.

• Define and drive the long-term vision for data architecture, modeling, and transformation at Gemini
• Establish standards for data reliability, observability, and quality across all pipelines and data products using languages and frameworks such as Python, SQL, Spark, Flink, Beam, or equivalents
• Partner with Staff and Senior Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Analytics Engineers to unify how data is produced, stored, and consumed

Gemini is looking for Summer 2026 Interns to work on our multi-functional product team that are interested in design, marketing and user experience. You'll build and ship trading interfaces for event contracts — from order entry and position management to real-time market data — within Gemini's React Native app. You'll work closely with product, design, backend, and compliance to bring new contract types (binary, range, combo) to market on mobile and drive activation and retention for a fast-growing product line.

• Build and maintain the Predictions mobile trading experience end-to-end: market browsing, order placement, portfolio views, and settlement flows.

• Strong proficiency with macOS fleet management at scale using MDM platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tooling.
• Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Go, Python, Swift – with demonstrated ability to build production-grade internal tooling and API integrations.
• Deep experience with identity and access management platforms (Okta, Google Workspace, Active Directory), including SSO, SCIM, Device Assurance Policies, MFA, and user lifecycle automation.

The Role: Staff Software Engineer (Frontend)

As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you’ll work with a cross-functional team of web, mobile, and backend engineers to help solve complex problems that will directly influence the direction of the digital asset space. As part of this role, you’ll help drive customer experience improvements to set us apart in the industry and build a world-class crypto exchange. This role is required to be in person twice a week at our New York City, NY office.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to design and deliver high-quality features on Gemini platform.
• Build efficient and reusable UI components and architect reliable, performant, and maintainable solutions. Review other software engineers’ code for correctness, style, and information security concerns.
• Own the DevOps lifecycle for a product; building, validating and maintaining high quality products through its lifetime.
• Provide technical input and knowledge to the planning, design, and requirements process for new products and features.
• Lead scoping and effort estimation exercises of complex initiatives, and lead tech debt management best practices.
• Mentor less tenured engineers and onboarding new team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

• You have at least 8 years of experience building consumer-facing web applications at scale.
• You are comfortable working with JavaScript/Typescript.
• You are a React.js expert.
• You have knowledge of web best practices and stay informed about innovations in the web industry and the ability to bring in adoption for the same.
• You have a strong understanding of UX/UI concepts and a demonstrated record of design and product sensibility.
• You have the ability to work closely across global teams (and time-zones), across cross-functional stakeholders and manage inter dependencies.
• You have a customer and product-focused mindset, with the ability to make well-reasoned tradeoffs between speed and quality.
• You have the ability to adapt and handle multiple competing priorities in collaboration with peers.

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $168,000 - $240,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.

In the United States, we offer a hybrid work approach at our hub offices, balancing the benefits of in-person collaboration with the flexibility of remote work.
