We’re training the next generation of Point72 investors
The Point72 Academy Investment Analyst Program for Upcoming Graduates is a paid ten-month training program designed to introduce you to the buy-side and prepare you for a potential career as an analyst at Point72.
We’re looking for current students graduating between December 2026 and July 2027 to join our 2027 classes.
Join us to learn the fundamental research and analysis skills needed to become an investment analyst at Point72, applying your intellectual curiosity in a role that prizes creativity, autonomy, and analytical rigor. The program begins in our New York City office with eight months of formal training followed by two months of rotations with Fundamental Equities investment teams or similar roles on our platform. The Macro Middle Office Trade Processing and Position Team is responsible for the development, maintenance, and automation of the systems that process trade executions into position keeping systems. The team is global with personnel and service providers located throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
We are looking for a mid or senior-level engineer to develop systems for trade flow processing and life cycle management for our Macro business. This is a hands-on development role focused on automating and simplifying business process, as well as architecting and developing new systems in collaboration with the broader Middle Office team and stakeholders. Specifically, you will work with teams in New York and Warsaw on low latency position keeping systems and data models to serve the Global Macro business.
• Help achieve business goals and priorities set forth by Technology and business leadership by developing, maintaining, and modernizing our trade processing and position keeping platform.
• Deliver solutions that modernize and scale the position keeping platform through technology upgrades, cloud technology adoption, and re-architecting business processes.
WHAT’S REQUIRED
• 3+ years of combined work experience in C# .Net, SQL with strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, test driven development etc.
• Familiarity with messaging architectures, caching technologies, streaming and/or transaction processing systems

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As Database Support Engineer, you’ll support various critical database platforms across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments. The role partners closely with
application teams, application support, and database engineers and operates within a
Follow‑the‑Sun model to ensure availability, performance, and reliability of database
services. Key responsibilities include:
• Provide operational support for enterprise database platforms in both on-prem
private cloud and public cloud
• Monitor database health, capacity, performance, and availability, and respond to
alerts, diagnose issues, and perform timely remediation
• Perform routine maintenance activities (patching, upgrades, housekeeping etc)
• Troubleshoot database‑related incidents and collaborate on root cause analysis
• Work closely with application owners, application support teams, and DB Engineers
• Provide guidance on database best practices and operational standards
• Participate in cross‑team problem resolution and continuous improvement
initiatives
• Contribute to design, implementation and testing of automation and self service
capabilities of DB platforms
• Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to reduce toil and increase
platform efficiency.
• Participate in a Follow‑the‑Sun operating model, including shift‑based coverage and
handoffs
WHAT’S REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field;
advanced degree a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in database administration and infrastructure engineering
• Strong experience delivering services on multiple database technologies (e.g., SQL
Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Sybase etc.).
• Strong knowledge about cloud‑based database services (eg AWS Aurora, RDS DB,
EC2, EBS, S3 etc)
• Hands-on expertise with scripting (eg PowerShell, Korn Shell, Python or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of observability tooling and operational monitoring design
• Strong ability to troubleshoot under pressure and strong ownership and
accountability mindset
• Strong ability to work effectively across time zones and teams
• Excellent communication skills and passion for building scalable, reliable, self
service platforms
