Position Summary:

IEM is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for our Jacksonville, FL. locations and will report into the Director of Quality. The top priorities of this position will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, as well as implement Vendor Management program and supporting metrics. Significant involvement with all areas of vendors/suppliers and manufacturing, while also increasing our communication and collaboration with key departments is instrumental in this position.

Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Jacksonville, FL. offices and does not offer remote work.
 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensuring suppliers for IEM maintains all regulations and requirements
• Updating the supplier database with continuously updated records of performance

Position Overview 

The RAN Deployment Engineer is responsible for executing all deployment, installation, and integration activities required to enable stable satellite‑to‑mobile connectivity across India and within global delivery programs. This role supports gateway and cell‑site builds, performs beam surveys, validates field installations, uploads configurations, and conducts probe‑based integration checks to ensure RAN readiness for satellite network activation. 

The position works closely with regional engineering teams, the NOC, vendors, and global deployment groups to resolve technical blockers, uphold high integration quality, and support seamless service enablement. 

Operating at the intersection of field engineering and advanced satellite‑RAN deployment, this role demands precision during installation, disciplined validation practices, and continuous coordination with cross‑functional teams. The RAN Deployment Engineer must balance technical accuracy, operational urgency, and regulatory variations across India to ensure smooth and consistent readiness for global satellite network activation.

Field Deployment & Installation Activities 

• Deliver RAN deployment activities including cell‑site builds, managing end-to-end field installation processes for satellite-RAN infrastructure

IEM is currently seeking a Quality Engineer - Customer Account Manager for our Jacksonville, FL or Surrey, B.C offices and will report into the VP of Quality & Reliability. As a Quality Engineer – Customer Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for the Customer and Commercial Teams about quality-related issues. Collect root cause analysis data and provide corrective feedback due to quality issues. Responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards required to minimize quality costs and maximize customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to. Ensure incoming materials meet required quality standards. Support new product introductions to ensure the robustness of product. Work in a team environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements. Manage the customer specific requirements and coordinate technical support. What You'll Do

• Help drive enterprise sales by nurturing prospects and supporting Strategic and Enterprise customers
• Conduct discovery, qualification, technical demos, and proof of value workshops with prospective customers looking to shift to an API-first development culture
• Handle Postman technical questions or objections and provide solutions or workarounds to address customer needs

The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $200,000 to $245,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

This role is based in our office in San Francisco, CA and is required to have an in office presence. 

Who You Are

You will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of our backend systems and IoT infrastructure. Your role will be critical in ensuring seamless connectivity between our hardware devices, mobile app, and cloud backend.

What You’ll Do

• UX: Design and maintain a scalable IoT UX platform by building a reusable LVGL-based UX architecture and component library, ensuring responsive and reliable user interactions. Integrating closely with firmware through a robust communication layer (Brista) that supports both internal system coordination and external connectivity (serial for prototyping, Wi-Fi for production).
• Analytics: Own analytics for user interactions, on-device Business Intelligence, and stability analysis. Proactively address issues at staging before they go into production.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the software development, product management, and QA teams to ensure that the entire development and release process is smooth and efficient. 
• Identify potential risks in software development and create strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the safety and efficacy of our appliances.
• Integration of AI: 
• Heavily involved in defining and implementing AI workflow
• Design and implementation: Leverage AI to improve efficiency to convert Figma Design to real implementation.
• Code Review: help integrate AI for code review, and other activities on GitHub

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in firmware engineering, with experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS); C/C++
• Some experience with End-to-End testing on a connected device, which is connected to a mobile app and AWS backend.
• Strong understanding of what analytics can help improve user experience and provide product insights in the field.
• Hands-on experience with development and debugging using devkit and real devices. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with MQTT or other IoT communication protocols.
• Familiarity with testing and debugging for IoT hardware devices.

As a Senior Product Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Product engineering and design efforts for some programs, as we expand our lineup of home appliances - such as precision coffee makers, grinders, and kettles.  You will actively participate in design work, including owning some CAD & performing analysis, simulation, calculation, testing, etc..  

You will help drive the design, development, and iteration of hardware products from concept through production, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of functionality, user experience, and design appeal.

You will work closely and drive cross-functional teams including industrial design, electrical engineers, software developers, operations, vendors/suppliers, and contract manufacturing partners,  to deliver world-class products. As a design lead, you will also direct the efforts of external partners, mentor other engineers,  lead design reviews and be a technical partner/lead to our TPMs

What You’ll Do

• Lead Product Design Process:
• Hands-on ownership of product design and development activities: CAD, analysis, characterization, testing, prototyping, leading efforts related to preproduction builds to mass production.
• Partner with industrial design, engineering and operations teams to ensure products meet quality, cost and timeline targets. 
• Oversee the end-to-end design and development of consumer hardware products, focusing on connected home appliances like coffee makers, kettles, and grinders.

• Collaboration with Manufacturing:
• Work closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure that designs are optimized for cost-effective production.
• Oversee the design for manufacturability (DFM) process to minimize production issues and ensure a seamless transition from prototype to mass production.
• Project Management:
• Work with TPMs to manage manufacturing partners and suppliers. Facilitate communication both internally and externally. Help determine priorities and objectives.  
• Work with TPMs to communicate project status, risks, and milestones to key stakeholders.
• Compliance & Documentation:
• Ensure all product designs comply with relevant safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the design and development process.
• Work closely with the Hardware Engineering, Product Management and Program Management Office (PMO) to develop resource plans and program schedules. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in product design and development, with a focus on consumer hardware products.
• Proven experience leading design projects from concept to mass production, preferably in the connected home appliance sector.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die casting, CNC machining, sheet metal, casting, extrusion, hydroforming, etc...
