 About the Role 

Otto Aerospace is seeking a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join our Safety and Quality Assurance Office. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing, implementing, and executing Supplier Quality programs in support of aerospace product development and manufacturing activities. This role will write and maintain supplier-related procedures, including the Supplier Quality Manual and Quality Clauses, and will partner closely with the Supply Chain team to establish strong, collaborative relationships with our suppliers.  The Safety and Quality Assurance Office is responsible for establishing, promoting, and maintaining the highest standards of product safety, regulatory compliance, workplace health and safety, and product quality throughout the design, manufacturing, and operational lifecycle of our aircraft.  What You’ll Do 

• Contribute to the development, implementation, and management of the Supplier Quality Management System
• Write and maintain all supplier quality documentation, including the Supplier Quality Manual, supplier-related quality procedures, and quality flow-down clauses for procurement activities
• Work closely with the Supply Chain team to qualify, monitor, and develop suppliers to meet company and regulatory requirements
• Develop and execute supplier audit and surveillance programs
• Support supplier selection, source inspection, first article inspection (FAI), and nonconformance resolution activities
• Coordinate supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and verify the effectiveness of supplier corrective actions
• Analyze supplier performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives 
• Support internal quality system activities, such as internal audits, root cause investigations, and corrective/preventive actions
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives and support the continuous improvement of companywide quality processes 
• Represent Supplier Quality in internal and external meetings, including supplier reviews and readiness assessments
• Able to travel to supplier locations 25-40% of the time

 Who You Are 

 Education 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field  

 Experience 

• 3-5+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering in the aerospace or aviation industry

 Required Skills 

• Strong understanding of AS9100, aerospace supplier quality requirements, and quality system development
• Experience developing and writing supplier quality procedures, manuals, and procurement quality clauses
• Ability to conduct supplier audits and assessments against industry standards and internal requirements

Flight Sciences includes all phases of flight dynamics design and analysis to support configuration development, flight testing, and entry into service. As a member of the Flight Sciences team, you will be responsible for developing and directing the analysis of aircraft systems to ensure safe and predictable flight characteristics. This position encompasses all flight regimes up to and including transonic cruise, approach and landing, and off-design operations. You will also be assisting in the experimental efforts that support validation, database development and optimization of the configuration.

Reporting to the Manager–Test Data & Instrumentation, the Test Data & Instrumentation Engineer supports the design, procurement, and use of instrumentation and data acquisition systems for material, structural, mechanical/electrical, and flight testing. This role supports data integrity and system reliability by delivering accurate installation data, acceptance checks, calibration records, and configuration documentation in collaboration with cross-functional teams.  The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.

• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Test, Quality, and Airworthiness to establish aircraft material, structure, systems, simulator, and flight vehicle test data requirements for development and certification

• 3D CAD & Digital Definition 
  • Create and manage experimental and production-level digital product definitions, including parts, assemblies, and installations, fully defining dimensions, materials, processes, and tolerances. 
  • Develop detailed system layouts and airframe integration studies using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX). 
• Certification & Compliance Support 
  • Lead the creation, review, and update of certification, safety, and quality documentation, including FTA, PSSA, SFHA, ACP, and related compliance artifacts for the Secondary Flight Control System.

Who You Are

Education

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in the development of Flight Control Systems and equipment common in modern Part 23 / Part 25 business aircraft, specifically Secondary Flight Control Systems, including Flaps, Spoilers, HSTA, and Trim. 
• 5+ years of experience in the design and development of electro-mechanically actuated systems. 
• Strong knowledge of FAR Part 23 certification requirements and processes pertinent to Flight Control Systems. 
• Strong understanding and experience with RTCA D-160G, DO-254, and SAE ARP4754A. 
• Experience with ASME Y14.100 Drawings and Y14.5 GD&T. 
• Experience with model and drawing checking, engineering part and model release, and engineering change process.

Reporting to the Director–Test & Certification, the Manager–Airworthiness is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of certification and continued airworthiness processes.  This role ensures compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) / Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) requirements by guiding compliance efforts, interfacing with regulatory authorities, overseeing certification staff, and supporting the definition of long-term technical roadmaps. The Manager–Airworthiness will provide mentorship to certification engineers and collaborate across internal and external engineering, manufacturing, quality, and certification functions to deliver safe, efficient, and certifiable solutions.

• Set strategic direction for certification processes, implement continuous improvement programs, and foster an organizational culture of airworthiness compliance 
• Oversee initial airworthiness certification and continuing airworthiness for Otto products 
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Airworthiness engineers and specialists through all type certification milestones

The Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM), Engineering is responsible for the management of the program information on behalf of the Structures and Materials & Process Engineering work package owners. The TPM will support the work package owners with delivering products on schedule and within budget. The TPM will work within the Program Management Office (PMO) to drive the integration and development of the Air Vehicle and monitor overall program progress.

 Education / Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering or other related field 
• A minimum of eight (8) years in technical program/project management role, preferably in the aviation industry

• Structures engineering experience throughout the product lifecycle, including composite material system development and aerostructures certification
