Job Summary

We are seeking a student intern to drive product quality improvements across both Astera Lab’s semiconductor and board-level products. In this role, the candidate will perform failure analysis for customer returns. The candidate will also compile 8D reports to communicate the analysis findings to the customers.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform system-level test for the customer returns on a bench in the lab.

· Review ATE test log files.

· Work with third-party labs to perform electrical FA (EFA) for more in-depth analysis.

· Log analysis results to the portal system daily.

Responsibilities:

Supplier Quality Management

· Nurture winning partnerships across all our strategic manufacturing suppliers: semiconductor wafer fabs, advanced packaging & test (OSAT), boards & assemblies (PCB / PCBA / SMT), substrates / interposers, probe cards, and passive components.

· Develop robust supplier selection and onboarding processes in collaboration with Design, Procurement, Business & Engineering Operations teams.

Today, most Linux certification is poor quality. Vendors run one set of tests and then declare that 'the hardware is certified'. But Linux is not a static platform. We make many more security fixes in the Linux world than people traditionally made in the proprietary OS world - all of these need to be tested on hardware which has been certified, even if that certification is 'old'. Also, Linux and open source evolve significantly every six months, and even more between major enterprise releases like the Ubuntu LTS versions. During the lifespan of an LTS, new kernel improvements will be available to users, and they want to be sure that their hardware will work. Today's Linux certification programs do not meet the needs of its users, and we want to change that.

Our intention is to deliver continuous quality and certification across the entire portfolio of certified hardware. Once we have enabled and certified a device, we intend to keep testing it to ensure that every single change we deliver to Ubuntu users globally is verified on all the hardware we know about. We also intend to measure energy consumption on a continuous process, as part of our commitment to measure, manage and drive down the carbon footprint of Ubuntu usage around the planet. We are hiring a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain MAAS test labs. As a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer in Canonical, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of our lab in the Toronto area, which we use for Ubuntu server certification of US based silicon and server designs. You'll use software that deploys and configures servers and network switches to operate the data centre and update its configuration, make sure the hardware and cabling is perfectly organised and inventoried, handle hardware deliveries and their onboarding and commissioning. About the role

Appier is seeking Software Engineers, Quality Assurance to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality system. You will collaborate with engineers to design comprehensive testing plans for a variety of systems, including high-traffic distributed systems, machine learning algorithms, big data platforms, and frontend systems. You will excel in defining effective test strategies and developing automation solutions tailored to different system architectures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to review feature requirements and specifications, designing robust test plans, strategies, and executing tests with clear, actionable reports.
• Work closely with developers to enhance testability, develop testing utilities, and provide QA-driven test cases ahead of feature readiness.
• Ensure the highest quality and performance standards for Appier products through rigorous testing.
• Accurately report and validate product bugs, driving continuous improvement.
• Develop scalable and reliable automated tests and test frameworks for products built on micro-service architectures.
• Oversee and monitor the release process, executing necessary tests to ensure feature delivery meets quality benchmarks.

About you

[Minimum qualifications]

• Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Better in software testing processes, including test planning, test case development, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with a willingness to share knowledge within the team.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with at least one test automation tool  (e.g., Python, Java, Robot Framework, Pytest, Cypress, Selenium, JMeter or Locust).
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Windsurf to enhance coding efficiency, streamline debugging, and facilitate code refactoring. Familiarity with these tools is essential to our workflow.
• Experience integrating and utilizing CI/CD tools.
• Quick learner with good troubleshooting abilities and keep attention to detail.

• Experience in one of cloud service platforms. (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes)
• Excellent skills in data integrity tests or data quality.
• Experience in performance tests for SaaS products (e.g., Load test, Spike test, Stability test)
• Experience in system monitoring tools or system health dashboard (e.g., Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus)
• Experience in building automation testing for the architecture of micro-services
• Experience / Knowledge in the test for Big data, Machine Learning, Data analysis.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
