About The Team

The Foundry team is building Life360’s partner ecosystem and developer platform - the infrastructure that allows external partners to integrate with Life360 securely and at scale. We own the full integration stack: partner-facing APIs, authentication flows, webhook receipt and delivery, and the gateway layer that decouples partner contracts from internal systems. About the Job

Life360 is hiring an  AI-Native Backend Focused Engineer — a senior engineer who doesn’t just use AI tools, but thinks natively in them. You’ll be central to how the Foundry team builds its products, develops its ecosystem tooling, and how we use AI for development in the future.

You’ll design and build features and systems to help grow Life360s partner ecosystem, helping take our platform from zero to one - building out auth, system proxying, alerting and monitoring, everything.

You’ll build and evolve  our modern AI-Native engineering workflows — from how we write code, to how we run standups, to how we think about team velocity. You’ll evolve the standard others follow.

For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $129,000 to $192,000 USD. For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range for this position is 149,500 to 177,500 CAD.

What We’re Looking For

Technical foundation:

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency with Java and Spring Boot (this is our primary stack)
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar distributed streaming platforms
• Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts: consistency, fault tolerance, replication, and data durability
• Comfortable with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and containerized deployments
• Heavy user of agentic workflows, understands research-plan-implement cycle but doesn’t outsource thinking to agents

The Messaging team owns the backbone of Life360's real-time infrastructure — the event streaming and data pipelines that keep millions of families connected. We process billions of events every day across location updates, safety alerts, and the push notifications that make the product feel instant.

We are a small, platform-focused, AI-native team. AI isn't a productivity add-on here — it's how we work. Every engineer on the team directs AI agents as a core part of their daily loop: scaffolding services, drafting Terraform, exploring unfamiliar codebases, writing migration scripts, and reviewing diffs. We move faster and go deeper on hard distributed systems problems because we've built the habits, prompts, and guardrails to make agentic work reliable.

About the Job

This is a hands-on senior engineering role for someone who has already made AI a first-class collaborator in their work. You'll design streaming services, write and review code, own production incidents, and ship infrastructure — and you'll do all of it with agents running in parallel alongside you. We're looking for an engineer who already decomposes work into agentic workflows, critiques agent output with real technical authority, and ships production code faster because of it.

You'll help shape the team's technical direction on Kafka-first streaming infrastructure and the next phase of our high-availability roadmap. You'll also help evolve how the team itself works with AI — the prompts, the evals, the review patterns, the escape hatches when agents go sideways.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and operate streaming services on Kafka, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud Stream — directing agents to scaffold, test, and iterate, and owning the outcome end-to-end.
• Develop and manage Kafka connectors for data integration (DynamoDB, S3, NSQ, custom sinks/sources) and the SMT chains that keep them honest.
• Own schema management and evolution across Protobuf, Schema Registry, and multi-language code generation — including the Gradle/Nexus publishing pipelines that back it.
• Drive platform migrations (MSK → Confluent Cloud, NSQ → Kafka) including dual-cluster consumer patterns, VPC peering, and cutover playbooks.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling (DataDog, PagerDuty, Prometheus) that catch problems before pages fire.
• Write infrastructure as code in Terraform, ship it through CI/CD, and participate in the on-call rotation and incident response for the services you own.
• Work AI-natively as the default mode of operation. Run multiple agents in parallel. Write prompts with real context and constraints. Review every diff like you wrote it yourself. Know when to throw the agent's output out and do it by hand.
• Evolve the team's AI-native practices — prompt libraries, evals, review rituals, and the guardrails that make all of it safe at production scale.
• Mentor teammates, raise the bar on technical standards, and contribute to the team's API design, data contracts, and integration patterns.

Compensation

For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $148,000 to $216,500 USD. For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range is 171,500 to $201,000 CAD.

• Agentic decomposition — you break ambiguous problems into discrete, verifiable sub-tasks that an agent can actually execute, rather than handing it a blob of intent.
• Parallel workstreams — you run multiple agents or sessions concurrently on independent tasks instead of hand-holding one at a time.
• Troubleshooting with AI, not around it — when an agent hallucinates an API, suggests a deprecated library, or produces code that compiles but is wrong, you diagnose and recover. The interview is designed so things will go wrong; how you get unstuck is a signal.

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base compensation for this position in our Vancouver hub ranges from $154,717 - $193,397 CAD annually + applicable bonus. Claude Code Platform Lead

Own the strategy, systems, and training that turn AI-assisted development from an experiment into Coinme's engineering superpower. You will be the central force multiplier for our 35+ engineer organization—building the skills, workflows, and shared infrastructure that enable every team to ship faster and better with Claude Code. This is not a support role. You will directly shape how Coinme engineers build software every day.

What You'll Be Working On (Your Impact):

• Design, build, and maintain a centralized repository of CLAUDE.md project context files across all Coinme repositories, ensuring Claude Code understands our architecture, coding standards, compliance requirements, and domain patterns out of the box
• Create custom Claude Code slash commands, hooks, and workflows tailored to Coinme's stack—including compliance-aware code generation, automated test scaffolding, and review automation for our CQRS/Event Sourcing architecture
• Implement and manage the GitLab CI/CD integration for Claude Code, enabling automated merge request creation from issues, AI-assisted code review in pipelines, and commit attribution across all engineering teams
• Build and deliver structured training programs to close adoption gaps across the engineering org, with a focus on the highest-leverage skills: headless/CI-CD workflows, hooks and commands, and test-driven development with Claude Code
• Monitor engineering adoption metrics via the Claude Enterprise Analytics API, identify engineers and teams that are underutilizing the tool, and design targeted interventions to accelerate their productivity
• Develop and maintain a living playbook of best practices, prompt patterns, and workflow recipes that codify what Coinme's top Claude Code users (power users generating 5,000+ tool accepts) do differently
• Partner with Engineering Leadership to define proficiency benchmarks, run competency assessments, and measure ROI of AI tooling investment across the organization

What We're Looking For:

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer with hands-on production coding experience
• Deep, daily-driver proficiency with Claude Code and comparable AI coding assistants (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) — you should be a power user, not someone who's "tried it a few times"
• Experience implementing and integrating with agentic harnesses, e.g. Open Claw, Hermes, Eigent, etc.
• Experience building developer tools, internal platforms, CLI utilities, or developer experience infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to teach technical concepts to engineers at varying skill levels — through documentation, workshops, pairing sessions, or recorded content
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and automation (GitLab CI preferred)
• Strong understanding of Git workflows, code review processes, and merge request automation

What is the opportunity?  

Reporting to the Director, Technology & Integration Services, the Technical Consultant Iwill be working in multiple client-facing projects to enable SaaS onboarding. You willhave ample opportunities to field your best communication, technical, and organizational skills to take a SaaS project from initiation to go-live. You will act as thetechnical go-to person for SaaS onboarding. Act as a thought leader on Zafin integration paradigms and its best practices across multiple cloud platforms. About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a small cross-functional engineering team focused on evolving, onboarding and integrating Ada’s solutions into customers’ systems (Health Systems and Life Sciences).
