About IonQ:
IonQ, Inc. [NYSE: IONQ] is the world’s leading quantum platform and merchant supplier - delivering integrated quantum solutions across computing, networking, sensing, and security. IonQ’s newest generation of quantum computers, the IonQ Tempo, is the latest in a line of cutting-edge systems that have been helping customers and partners including Amazon Web Services, and AstraZeneca achieve 20x performance results and accelerate innovation in drug discovery, materials science, financial modeling, logistics, cybersecurity, and defense. In 2025, the company achieved 99.99% two-qubit gate fidelity, setting a world record in quantum computing performance.
Headquartered in College Park, Maryland, IonQ has operations in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Washington, Italy, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Our quantum computing services are available through all major cloud providers, while we also meet the needs of networking and sensing customers across land, sea, air, and space. IonQ is making quantum platforms more accessible and impactful than ever before.
We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer for Application Engineering. As a Sr Software Engineer on the Applications Engineer team, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to deliver real-world applications and value from the leap forward in computing enabled by quantum technology.
We don't just build the world's best quantum computers - we apply cutting edge quantum computing tools to real world problems. Until now, our team of Applications Scientists have been building prototypes, working closely with our customers. Our new department, Applications Engineering, will ultimately help transform proven quantum computing use-cases pioneered by our scientists into production applications, making those innovations available to more people and businesses by packaging and deploying these tools as SaaS applications.
But first, we must mature existing proof-of-concept quantum code into production grade applications. As a hands-on team lead for a new engineering team, you will work on enhancing developer experience (DevEx) by applying best practices to research-grade code. You will also set up CI / CD pipelines, software packing tools, and pre/post flight tests for new algorithms as they go into deployment. Where possible you will also be in charge of optimizing and parallelizing traditional algorithms, to reduce pre-processing and post-processing workloads. You will spearhead a new team taking newly invented quantum applications, and turning them into well defined modules of reliable SaaS applications. Think of it as being a forward-deployed engineer for quantum computing applications; the strongest candidates will be generalists with wide-ranging interests.
This team will work closely with Developer Tools, Infrastructure, and Product teams to solve problems by choosing the right technologies, and standardizing and automating those solutions. The right engineer will be comfortable working on refining chemistry simplification via Quantum Computing tool one quarter, and turning a novel quantum topology solver into a service the next - and love pair programming with scientists. They’ll bring the quantum expertise; you bring the deep and broad experience in classical programming.

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
The Security Applications & Tools (SAT) team within Lattice Platform Security builds custom software systems that detect, manage, and remediate vulnerabilities across Anduril's product ecosystem at scale. We don't just deploy scanners — we design and build distributed scanning infrastructure, policy enforcement engines, and vulnerability management platforms from the ground up. Our stack includes event-driven architectures on AWS, custom Go services, policy-as-code systems, and integrations that span CI pipelines to production environments.
We're looking for a senior software engineer to design and build the systems that keep Anduril's software secure. This is a software engineering role first — you'll architect distributed systems, write production Go and Python, build APIs, and operate services at scale. The domain is security, but the work is building real software: custom scanning orchestration pipelines, policy engines that evaluate thousands of configurations against security rules, and data systems that track vulnerabilities across an entire product ecosystem. If you want to write code that solves hard engineering problems in the security space rather than configure off-the-shelf tools, this is the role.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package. Additionally, Anduril offers top-tier benefits for full-time employees, including:

Banyan Software is the best permanent home for software businesses that serve specialized industries, their employees, and their customers. We are on a mission to acquire, build, and grow great companies worldwide, helping them modernize through shared AI expertise and operational discipline. The Banyan Software Foundation, endowed with $100 million in Banyan stock, leverages technology to build a greener and more equitable world. Banyan is Great Place to Work Certified, a five-time Inc. 5000 honoree, and a top 10 company on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500. Banyan Software acquires, builds, and grows great software companies for the long term. Across our portfolio of 100+ operating companies, many run on proven but aging codebases—15 to 25 years old—increasingly at odds with what modern customers expect: cloud-native, mobile-first, always-on SaaS.
The AI Factory is Banyan’s centralized application modernization engine—using AI-powered discovery, verification-first engineering, and an integrated delivery model to rewrite legacy applications into modern platforms in 15–25 weeks (vs. the traditional 2–5 years). This is a Banyan-funded program purpose-built for our operating companies, and it is already live.
The Director of AI will lead this program across its full scope—sitting at the intersection of product strategy, field engineering, and platform operations—with an outsized influence on how Banyan’s portfolio evolves over the next decade. The boundaries of this role are yours to define.
|
Pillar 1 AI Factory Product Team |
Own the strategic direction and delivery cadence of the core product team—developers, team lead, and AI-powered tooling. Drive the product roadmap and continuously evolve factory capabilities based on field learnings. |
|
Pillar 2 Forward Deployed Engineering |
Build, lead, and scale the FDE team from the ground up. FDEs embed directly with OpCo engineering teams to drive modernization, upskill developers on AI-assisted workflows, and ensure clean knowledge transfer. You will recruit the first FDEs, author the engagement playbook, and run initial transformations as a player-coach. |
|
Pillar 3 Cloud Operations & Platform Automation |
Oversee the operational infrastructure underpinning every modernized application—multi-cloud architecture, CI/CD automation, observability, security, and resiliency engineering—ensuring the operational backbone scales across an expanding portfolio. |
|
Attribute |
What It Means Here |
|
Entrepreneurial Ownership |
You treat this program as your own business—identifying problems, proposing solutions, and executing without waiting for direction. You’ve built something from scratch or turned around a failing initiative and can articulate P&L-level thinking. |
|
Influence Without Authority |
You walk into established teams with no formal power and redirect technical direction through credibility, trust, and persuasion. You earn followership by rolling up your sleeves and shipping alongside the team. |
|
Hands-On Technical Depth |
You write production code, architect cloud-native solutions, set up CI/CD pipelines, and debug complex integration issues. You currently code—not “used to code.” |
|
Ambiguity Tolerance |
You thrive without a playbook, then codify your learnings into one. You’ve entered undefined roles and created clarity. |
|
Resilience & Pivot Ability |
You’ve had projects fail, changed course rapidly, and talk about failure without defensiveness. |
|
Competency |
What It Means Here |
|
Cloud-Native & Modernization |
Deep practical experience with re-platforming, microservices, cloud-native patterns (AWS/Azure), IaC, and DevSecOps. You can describe a specific migration—before, after, and what broke. |
|
AI-Assisted SDLC Fluency |
You use AI-assisted dev tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) daily and can train others. You know where AI accelerates and where it creates risk. |
|
Structured Problem Decomposition |
You approach complex, ambiguous problems with frameworks—breaking modernization challenges into workable components, thinking in hypotheses. |
|
Technical-to-Business Translation |
You translate AI and engineering concepts into business value and ROI. You’ve presented to executives on technical topics. |
|
Change Management Execution |
You drive change through to adoption—understanding resistance, skill gaps, and the politics of technical transformation. |
|
Metrics & ROI Orientation |
You define success in measurable terms: velocity, value delivered, and business impact—not just story points. |
This is not a typical Director title bolted onto a predictable org chart. The AI Factory is early, ambitious, and consequential. You’ll have a dedicated Project Manager / Scrum Master handling sprint cadence, backlog management, and stakeholder scheduling—freeing you to focus on shaping the modernization methodology, building a world-class FDE team, and defining how AI transforms legacy software at scale.
The scope is deliberately broad because the right person will see connections across these pillars that no org chart could anticipate. If you build rather than just manage—earn trust through technical credibility, not title—and see the potential in a program that touches every corner of a 100+ company ecosystem, this is the role you’ve been looking for.

Rumble is the Freedom-First technology platform. We proudly offer a video platform, cloud services, advertising solutions, and a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet.
Rumble Cloud is seeking a Principal Software Architect (Python) to own the design and hands-on implementation of our Self-Service Cloud Portal and Cloud Console, the primary interfaces customers use to manage their cloud environments. Our stack is built on OpenStack and Ceph, with a customer surface that includes a self-service portal, an enhanced open-source cloud console, and integrated CRM/ERP-based billing and account management.
This role combines architectural leadership with significant day-to-day coding. You will define the architectural roadmap, guide the team in building scalable, maintainable services, and personally deliver high-quality Python code. Partnering with backend, Golang, and React/TypeScript teams, you will ensure cohesive design, strong performance, and an excellent developer and customer experience, while helping prioritize work and mentoring engineers without direct people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture and Technical Vision
• Define, document, and communicate architectural patterns, standards, and best practices for backend services, microservice integration, and portal-wide interoperability.
• Evaluate the current codebase (including CRM/billing integration and cloud console frontend) and chart a practical path toward a scalable, maintainable architecture.
• Design architectures that support multi-tenant SaaS scale, observability, reliability, and future extensibility.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, service specifications, and operational design records for cross-functional transparency.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to align service design with Rumble Cloud OpenStack/Kubernetes-based runtime environment.
Hands-On Development
• Contribute clean, efficient Python code (e.g., FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Jinja2) for key backend components; this role requires sustained coding, not occasional guidance.
• Build and extend backend functionality that interfaces with RESTful APIs and SQL databases.
• Partner with Golang service teams and frontend developers (React/TypeScript) for seamless integration across the product ecosystem.
• Analyze product requirements and implement new features end-to-end, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
Planning, Prioritization, and Delivery
• Translate product-level requirements and customer needs into actionable roadmaps, epics, and tickets.
• Help prioritize features and technical debt based on impact, dependencies, and realistic timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement in the delivery lifecycle, including code review practices, release automation, and GitHub/GitHub Actions workflows.
• Help design and implement an SDLC and SSDLC with repeatable processes for planning, development, testing, deployment, and security review.
• Identify risks and blockers early and work with stakeholders to resolve them before they affect delivery.
Mentorship and Team Guidance
• Guide senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews, pair programming, and technical planning.
• Document designs and mentor engineers to grow their architectural thinking and engineering skills.
• Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other teams and departments on integrating new functionalities and services.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Expert-level Python development experience, including SQLAlchemy, Jinja2, and modern API frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Gunicorn).
• Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and resource servers, including working with incomplete or minimal SDK documentation.
• Experience designing and implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), ORM patterns, and schema design.
• Demonstrated experience architecting distributed systems or service-oriented architectures at production scale.
• Proficiency with object-oriented and functional programming concepts.
• Proficiency with containerized development (Docker) and cloud-native deployment environments (Kubernetes).
• Hands-on familiarity with Git-based workflows, including GitHub, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to synthesize product-level requirements into actionable technical roadmaps and system designs.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with a track record of guiding engineering teams toward delivery excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a hands-on technical leader while maintaining architectural oversight across multiple services and teams.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across complex, distributed systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term architectural goals.
• Willingness to learn, be challenged, and contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a passion for cloud-native development and open-source tooling.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong Go (Golang) programming experience, with the ability to contribute to and review Go-based services.
• Familiarity with OpenStack APIs, services, or the broader OpenStack ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Ceph or other distributed storage systems.
• Experience with the Odoo ERP/CRM platform, including module development, customization, or integration into SaaS products.
• Background working with or extending open-source cloud console or dashboard projects.
• General familiarity with public cloud concepts (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
• Experience building SaaS in a multi-tenant environment, including tenant isolation, usage metering, and self-service provisioning.
• Experience with OpenStack or Kubernetes API development, control panel design/architecture, and test-driven development with Pytest.
• Experience working within public cloud / IaaS products
• Intermediate experience or higher in 1 or more programming languages (ie: Go, C, C++, Python, Rust)
• Experience working with Rocky or Ubuntu in live environments.
• Experience working with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
Annual Compensation Range:
$150,000 - $186,000 CAD base + benefits + equity (If based in Canada)
