As a Software Development Manager on the Boltline by Stoke Space Team, you will lead a team of 6-8 software engineers responsible for a vertical slice of the product. You and your team will accelerate the development of Stoke’s reusable rockets. As a GRC Security Architect, you will own the security governance, risk, and compliance architecture for Stoke’s NOVA program as we build and scale a fully reusable launch vehicle.

This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership of how security requirements become practical, auditable, and scalable controls across the company. You will define and drive the policies, standards, control implementations, risk processes, and evidence systems that support frameworks such as NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, CMMC, DFARS, CUI, ITAR, and other customer or regulatory requirements. You will work directly with SMEs across IT, security, software, infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing, legal, finance, and operations to translate complex obligations into controls that are clear, effective, and realistic for a fast-moving rocket company. We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure & Platform Engineer to own and evolve the foundational infrastructure that powers Stoke’s engineering operations. You will be responsible for AWS GovCloud and commercial cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code development, GitHub Enterprise Server operations, and the platform engineering systems that enable our teams to build rockets. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Pulumi projects across multiple AWS accounts using TypeScript, implementing best practices for modularity, testing, and deployment automation
• Own the administration, scaling, and reliability of our self-hosted GitHub Enterprise Server instance and custom ephemeral runner system built on AWS Spot Fleet
• Design and implement AWS architectures across GovCloud and commercial regions, including VPC design, Transit Gateway networking, VPN connectivity, and cross-account access patterns

Qualifications

This role is the translation layer between our vehicle software team, the rest of the physical vehicle (avionics, engines, fluids, etc.), and our vehicle operators. You won't just be writing software and managing configurations, you will use hands-on bringing hardware to life. One day you might be writing scripts to manage fleet configurations, and the next you will be physically building out HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) racks or designing the architecture for a new checkout cart to get Nova to the pad.
