We are a highly collaborative team of builders and operators who invent new ways of working in an industry that historically has resisted innovation. Join us!
About the team:
Blink Engineering strives to build trusted, highly observable, data-driven products to bring affordable, accessible healthcare to all Americans. We understand healthcare is the most complex system most of us will ever fix. We believe in solving this complexity through the use of simple, well-known technologies. The QA team plays an important role in our company’s product development process. We are looking for a QA Engineer to determine software quality through manual and automated testing for both mobile and web applications, including cross-platform testing (browser, OS). You will own complete functional areas and will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs. You will work closely with the engineers, designers and product managers to ensure quality development. You will participate in automation activities to enhance product quality and improve engineering productivity.
About You:
We all help each other on the team. Where you have previously worked or gone to school isn’t important to us.
The following, however, is:
You have 5+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or quality engineering.
You are familiar with AI-powered tools and workflows that improve engineering and QA productivity, such as test generation, defect analysis, code assistance, and documentation support.
You are proficient in using AI tools responsibly and effectively to accelerate software development, improve test coverage, and enhance quality processes while applying sound engineering judgment.
You are passionate about product quality and bring strong attention to detail.
You have experience writing test cases, test plans, and executing tests for web and mobile applications.
You have knowledge of general software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
You can write efficient, maintainable code in at least one programming or scripting language; knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript is a plus.
You have a solid understanding of software development fundamentals, including APIs, system integrations, debugging, version control, and CI/CD workflows.
You have experience working with testing frameworks and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Cypress, Playwright, JIRA, Docker, AWS, TestNG, and Agile development practices.
You have hands-on experience automating functional and integration testing for Web, iOS, and Android applications.
You have working knowledge of databases and SQL.
You have working knowledge of QA automation architecture, implementation methodologies, and tools.
You are comfortable partnering with engineers on root cause analysis, testability improvements, and release readiness.
You have experience validating APIs, backend services, and end-to-end workflows across distributed systems.
You are able to contribute to automation frameworks, shared test utilities, and developer-facing quality tooling.
If you join Blink, you will:
Review and analyze product specifications.
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
Execute test cases (manual and automated) and analyze results across Web, Mobile, API, and backend systems.
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through resolution.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development process.
Actively participate in automation work for framework enhancements, test additions, and tooling improvements.
Work closely with product and development teams on feature launches.
Design, build, and maintain automated test coverage for critical user journeys, platform services, and integration points.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable test frameworks, reusable test components, and CI/CD quality gates.
Partner with software engineers to improve application testability, observability, and defect prevention earlier in the development lifecycle.
Validate functionality across frontend, backend, and third-party integrations to ensure reliable end-to-end experiences.
Support release quality by participating in risk assessments, test strategy discussions, and production readiness reviews.
Why Join Us:
It is rare to have a company that both deeply impacts its customers and is able to provide its services across a massive population. At Blink, we have a huge impact on people when they are most vulnerable: at the intersection of their healthcare and finances. We are also the fastest growing healthcare company in the country and are driving that impact across millions of new patients every year. Our business model not only helps people, but drives economics that allow us to build a generational company. We are a relentlessly learning, constantly curious, and aggressively collaborative cross-functional team dedicated to inventing new ways to improve the lives of our customers.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity of all kinds. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

About the Company
Dirac is on a mission to reindustrialize The West. American manufacturing is broken—burdened by inefficiency, bureaucracy, and outdated processes. We are pioneering Model-Based Manufacturing, where context-aware production planning informs design in real-time—eliminating the disconnect between engineering and manufacturing. Our platform automates what can be automated and captures tribal knowledge where automation falls short, creating a seamless system for building at scale. We're building the tools modern manufacturers need to move faster and build better, the pillars of a more abundant future.
We are a mission-driven company of world-class engineers and operators with a culture of high trust, high agency, and high autonomy.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Quality & Reliability Engineer to level up how we test, release, and operate software at Dirac. You’ll work closely with our engineering team to drive end-to-end quality—improving test coverage, automation, observability, and incident response across our platform.
This is a hands-on IC role with high leverage. You’ll reduce downtime, increase confidence in releases, and make everyone around you more effective—by embedding quality into the way we build, ship, and operate.
What You’ll Do
- Own Quality at Scale – Design and implement test plans, coverage strategies, and reliability workflows that improve release hygiene and catch issues early.
- Build Test & Release Infrastructure – Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines that gate broken code and keep staging environments clean.
- Improve Observability & Debuggability – Strengthen logging, alerting, and monitoring to make failures fast and easy to diagnose.
- Act as a Reliability Partner – Work alongside software and DevOps engineers to reduce flakiness, prevent regressions, and keep BuildOS production-ready.
- Lead Postmortems & Incident Reviews – Help build a blameless culture of learning, where quality issues lead to structural improvements, not just quick fixes.
- Bridge Engineering & Customer Teams – Embed insights from support, QA, and the field directly into automated test cases and product workflows.
What You Bring
- Experience with modern QA and testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Familiarity with test frameworks like Cypress, Jest, PyTest, Selenium, etc.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI, etc.).
- Experience with modern build and deployment tooling (e.g., Terraform, Docker, NixOS, CircleCI)
- Strong programming comfort in TypeScript, Python, or C++.
- Familiarity with gRPC, HTTP APIs, and scripting tools like Postman or curl.
- Systems thinker who sees how bugs ripple through code, infrastructure, and users.
- Strong communicator—can work across functions and translate messy problems into clean fixes.
- High agency and ownership—you don't just find problems, you fix them.
Nice To Have
- Experience with release automation, staging hygiene, or canary/bake-in pipelines.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial systems, or related physical industries.
- Early-stage startup experience—comfortable with ambiguity and momentum.
Equal Opportunity Employer
Dirac is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with Dirac is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.
Location & Travel
This role is fully in-person at our NYC office.
Eligibility
Employment is restricted to U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15)
Benefits:
- Health, Dental, Vision Insurance: Comprehensive coverage to ensure you and your family stay healthy.
- Generous Paid Time Off: Enjoy flexible, high-trust PTO and sick leave.
- Stock Options: Participate in our success with a generous stock option plan.
