The Team + The Role

Pendo’s Customer Engineering team is the technical backbone of the pre- and post-sales customer motion. The team brings together work that has historically sat across Customer Success, Technical Account Management, and Solutions Engineering into one full-lifecycle technical owner. Customer Engineering helps customers connect technical execution to business outcomes and realize the value of their investment in Pendo.

As a Senior Customer Engineer, you own strategic and complex Enterprise accounts across acquisition, implementation, adoption, expansion, and escalation. What this looks like day-to-day

About the role

• As a Digital Affairs & DPO Senior Specialist  based in the United States, you will play a senior role in Nubank’s global privacy function, acting as a key point of contact for complex privacy, data protection and AI topics in the US while supporting our global privacy governance program.

You'll be responsible for:

 Product Legal Counseling (Privacy, Data Protection & AI)

• Provide clear, fast and actionable legal guidance to product, engineering, data and business teams on US and global privacy, data protection, AI and cybersecurity questions, with focus on data‑intensive products and internal tools.
• Conduct legal risk assessments for new and existing products, features and AI/ML use cases (including automated decision‑making, profiling, biometrics, fraud/credit models), aligning recommendations with Nubank’s risk appetite and product strategy.
• Draft, review and negotiate privacy‑relevant documentation (e.g., DPAs, data sharing agreements, vendor addenda, privacy and AI notices, in‑product disclosures, terms of service and consent flows), including cross‑border data transfer mechanisms.

Privacy Governance & Program Management 

• Work closely with the Global DPO to co‑lead the execution of the global privacy governance roadmap, ensuring clear ownership, milestones, and visibility to leadership.
• Own or co‑own key pillars of the Privacy Governance Program as they relate to the US and global scope, including:
• Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) and personal data mapping;
• Privacy and data protection risk management and controls;
• DPIAs/PIAs and other privacy risk assessments at scale;

Third‑Party & Data Sharing Governance

• Assess third parties and new data‑sharing arrangements (including US vendors and cross‑border engagements) from a privacy and AI‑governance perspective, recommending proportionate controls and contractual protections.
• Enhance end‑to‑end third‑party due diligence and oversight flows together with Procurement, Security, Risk and Data, ensuring that privacy controls are embedded in onboarding, monitoring and off‑boarding.

Privacy Incident Response & Regulatory Readiness

• Coordinate and continuously improve the global privacy incident response process, focusing on impact assessments, escalation, remediation and documentation that stand up to regulatory scrutiny in the US and abroad.
• Lead or co‑lead privacy/legal workstreams in complex incidents (including those involving US data subjects or US regulators), advising on notification strategy to individuals, DPAs and other authorities.
• Contribute to regulatory‑readiness initiatives (audits, supervisory processes, evidence frameworks) that demonstrate maturity of Nubank’s privacy and AI governance program.

The role

We're looking for a Sr. Manager, Talent for Engineering, Product, and Design to lead the recruiting function that builds the team behind our platform. This is a manager-of-managers role — you'll lead a team of Talent Partners and Coordinators, set the EPD hiring strategy with our engineering and product leaders, and own the function's outcomes. You will not carry a personal req load. Your job is to make every recruiter on your team great, every search predictable, and every hiring manager partnership tight.

You'll report directly to the VP Talent and partner closely with our CTO and our VPs of Engineering, Product, and Design to deliver against an EPD hiring plan that includes some of our most competitive senior technical roles.

What you'll do

• Lead the EPD talent team. Manage a team of Talent Partners (manager-track and IC) and partner closely with Talent Coordinators. Hire, coach, and level up the team. Run a development cadence that turns strong ICs into senior recruiters.
• Own the EPD hiring plan. Translate EPD's hiring goals into a sourcing strategy, capacity plan, and weekly pipeline. Allocate reqs across the team based on workload and skill. Reforecast when the plan changes — and it will.
• Run the operating cadence with EPD leadership. Stand up weekly pipeline reviews with engineering, product, and design leaders. Deliver clean dashboards on funnel health, time-to-fill, and offer acceptance rate. Surface bottlenecks early and own the fix.

• 8+ years in technical recruiting, with at least 3 years leading a team of recruiters at a high-growth SaaS or infrastructure company.

This role sits within Anaplan's IT Customer Experience organization and is focused on transforming how Anaplan employees work. Anaplan is building its Enterprise AI Center of Excellence (COE) — a one-stop shop for all internal AI at Anaplan — and is looking for an AI Principal Architect to lead it from a technical standpoint. This role carries a hybrid profile: deep individual technical contribution combined with team leadership influence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Reference Architecture & Enterprise AI Engineering 

• Own and publish the reference architecture for Anaplan's internal AI — covering LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, Gemini Enterprise integrations, and data pipelines. 

• Architect end-to-end internal enterprise AI solutions designed for the scale, security, and reliability requirements of a global workforce. 

• Set and enforce AI engineering standards, coding practices, code review processes, and technical guardrails across all internal AI projects.

• Proven experience designing and building data ingestion pipelines at scale, with expertise in distributed computing frameworks (Ray, Spark, or similar).
• Strong background in applied machine learning, including model training, hyperparameter tuning, and performance evaluation.
• Experience analyzing how data changes impact model performance, with the ability to design and run experiments to measure improvements.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and ML workflows, with experience working with large-scale data processing systems.
• Solid understanding of data quality principles and experience implementing monitoring, validation, and alerting systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex, ambiguous problems requiring coordination across multiple teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring team members and contributing to technical decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MLflow or similar model tracking and versioning systems.
• Knowledge of foundation models, fine-tuning workflows, and transformer architectures.

• Intimately familiar with data technologies, data architecture frameworks, cloud platforms and the emerging trends in technological advancements.
• Proven experience in transforming our clients from on-prem data platforms to the cloud.
• Lead data modernization initiatives that include platform, technology and tools implementation and adoption.
• Must have experience in architecting and implementing data architecture, data engineering, reporting and analytical solutions across multiple business functions and domains.
• Conduct data management maturity assessments and identify pain points for including data quality, governance, architecture, analytics, metadata management, master data management.
• Demonstrate a rigorous and analytical problem-solving approach, leading information-gathering sessions and preparing and delivering client presentations and work products/prototypes.
• Identify data governance gaps and assess data governance maturity in a complex data environment. Should also be able to Identify the implications for data governance that arise from the technology, current processes, and skill levels in a complex data environment.

Data Architecture and Engineering

• Extensive experience or knowledge of cloud-based data platform technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Computing.
• Experience designing and building data platforms that support data lakes, data stores, data ingestion and transformations and API services for consuming data
• Ability to design and build complex data pipelines that either stream data in
• Experience and knowledge of programming and scripting languages, such as but not limited to Python, Node.JS and SQL
• Experience and knowledge of data integration tools and platforms
• Experience and knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, and practice used in data warehousing and analytics solutions
• Ability to design and build data models using the appropriate technics to meet business objectives
• In depth knowledge of modern data technologies including Snowflake, RedShift, Azure SQL/Synaspe, Databricks or similar technologies.

Advanced Analytics and Data Visualizations

• Extensive experience or knowledge of data visualization technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik and Spotfire
• Experience with statistical and mathematical modeling, artificial intelligence and machine learning software and methods
• Experience and knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as, but not limited to, SQL, Python and R
• Experience with data modeling, data prep and machine learning tools like Alteryx, RapidMinder, RStudio and Tableau Prep
• Experience and knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, and practice used in data warehousing and analytics solutions
• Experience deploying enterprise-wide reporting solutions while leveraging data visualization best practices
