We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Program Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control operations supporting semiconductor facility construction, commissioning, and qualification projects. Responsibilities:

QA/QC Program Development & Oversight

• Manage document control processes for quality records including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective action requests (CARs), and recorded issues.

Team Leadership & People Development

Process Mechanical Quality Assurance

• Oversee QA/QC activities for process mechanical installations including piping, welding, pressure testing, and system integration.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications (ASME, SEMI, AWS, and project-specific requirements).
• Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), project quality related specifications, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and procedure qualification records (PQR).

System Qualification & Commissioning Support

• Provide quality oversight during qualification and commissioning of the following semiconductor facility systems:
• Bulk Gas Systems — piping purity testing & qualification, compliance, and system certification.
• Specialty (Spec) Gas Systems — piping purity testing & qualification, compliance, and system certification.
• Process Waste Systems — chemical drain, exhaust, and waste treatment system verification.
• Mechanical Piping — utility piping installation quality and testing.
• Analytical Testing — development of associated quality programs, oversight of purity qualification testing.
• Coordinate reviews of turnover documentation for system handoff.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

• Serve as the primary quality point of contact for associated system owners.
• Participate in project planning meetings, schedule reviews, and progress reporting to ensure quality milestones are tracked and met.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders through proactive, transparent communication.

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive QA/QC experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or high-purity industrial construction environments.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing QA/QC plans, policies, and procedures from program inception through project closeout.
• Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and developing a team of QA/QC inspectors across multiple concurrent projects or sites.
• Strong working knowledge of process mechanical installations and associated quality specifications, codes, and standards.
• Direct experience with qualification and commissioning of bulk gas, specialty gas, process waste, mechanical piping, Ultra Pure Water and analytical testing systems in semiconductor facilities.
• Proficiency in quality management software, document control systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

• Working knowledge of SEMI standards, ASME B31.3, and AWS D18.1/D18.2.
• Experience with semiconductor facility construction for leading chip manufacturers (e.g., Intel, TSMC, Samsung, Micron).
• Familiarity with commissioning management platforms and digital quality tools.

As a Senior Software Engineer at ASM, you’ll sit at the intersection of cutting-edge software, complex hardware, and real-world customer impact. You’ll be a technical leader who solves the toughest software challenges in semiconductor manufacturing—driving system reliability, safety, and performance for our global customers. In this role, you won’t just fix issues—you’ll lead investigations, influence architecture, and deliver long-term, systemic improvements that power advanced semiconductor technology worldwide.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Lead deep technical investigations into software-related safety interlocks, validating corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze and optimize multiple interacting subsystems, gaining end-to-end understanding of full platform workflows.
• Drive root cause and corrective action (RCCA) using packet captures, log correlation, and system-level analysis.
• Design and evaluate subsystem architectures, including multi-threading and scheduler interactions.
• Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve software for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues, including real-time control systems.
• Act as a technical escalation point—supporting field engineers and customers globally.
  Partner with QA and Support to reproduce field issues and strengthen regression coverage.
• Author and review system specifications, software designs, and test plans.
• Investigate internal and external technical inquiries, delivering clear analysis and actionable solutions.
• Evaluate and influence software engineering tools and system design decisions.
• Plan and coordinate rapid software fixes and deployments in high-impact environments.
• Present technical insights, progress, and outcomes in customer QBRs, including findings from complex DOE analyses.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 10+ years of industry experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years, or PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong software development expertise in C++ and/or C#
• Experience developing for Windows and real-time operating systems
• Solid understanding of multi-threaded applications
• Experience working with software documentation, specifications, and APIs

What Sets You Apart

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) and experience in software architecture and machine control systems, ideally within semiconductor equipment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software for our semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• Developing for Windows and Windows Real-time Operating Systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve computer software issues, including real-time software control systems
• Able to triage mechanical, electrical and software bugs
• Responsible to manage escalation calls with field support engineers and customers at a national and global level
• Work with QA / Support team to add replicated bugs to regression

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong software development skills in C++ 
• 1+ years’ experience as a generalist or mid-stack software development with a Bachelor's degree OR recently graduated with Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computer Systems
• Graduating in Fall 2025 or graduated within the past two years
• 0–2 years of professional work experience

In this role you will lead a team to have “end to end” quality assurance of analysing in house Operations and Customers data to set preventive measures on NC.

Internal

• Manage Quality Non Conformances – Define caused-by in Intake & filtering
• Manage proper follow-up with Cooperate Quality Team on customer expectations
• Manage timely and good quality closure of NC including preventive actions.
• Setup and maintain Customer Quality Dashboard
• Align with Customers on critical indexes
• Assist local management by proposing process improvements and participate in deployment of new and improved processes
• Assist cooperate functions by initiating, driving and tracking of improvements on the execution of critical processes
• Assist in driving resolution of structural quality issues within corporate programs, e.g. QMS restructuring
• Manage well-structured inspection plans and collaborate with cross functions to improve tests and assembly processes

Qualifications

working as part of the Global Quality team, this role will work alongside Business Unit Engineers, Product Support, Field Teams, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and other business functions toward the goal of resolving “non-conformance” issues that are encountered by our manufacturing & field teams and determined to be either high customer impact or systemically caused. This role also includes meeting directly with Customers as well as presenting solutions and status to both customers and various levels of ASM management.

Responsibilities:

• Act as Single Point of Contact, on behalf of Global Quality, for given product lines
• Also act as Single Point of Contact for key customer Field Teams on quality concerns
• These responsibilities require building a fundamental understanding of the quality concern identified, determining the best solution path and driving appropriate action
• Drive, within ASM’s Toll Gate process, building in quality for New Product Introductions
• Work with BU personnel to create Critical Part definition, Design FMEAs and score progress in a Design For Quality scorecard
• Drive down Non-Conformances (NCs) for given product lines & customers
• Through NC data analytics, identify trends, systemic issues, repeat issues, their causes and drive team solutions
• Work with other members of the Quality teams and management to roll out efficiency and continuous improvement efforts
• Working with cross-functional teams, institute solutions focused on permanently solving root cause and preventing similar occurrences
• Communicate solutions & experiences with colleagues to solve common issues existing across multiple products

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred, in Mechanical, Electrical or Material Science Eng;  PhD is a plus
• 7-10 years of experience in semiconductor, or similar technical industry, in engineering role with a strong focus on quality
• Experience with Structured Problem Solving (e.g. 8D, C4, A3 etc.) and FMEA
• Experience with Project Management
• Experience with Quality Management Systems, Quality Assurance and Process Control; part fabrication experience is a plus
• Six Sigma Green Belt; Black Belt is a plus
• Ability to build organizational awareness and collaborate in a global setting is required
• Ability to influence, persuade, and position the value-building quality within products
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use logic and data to make factual assessments
